Iain very helpfully gave me some advice over the phone to help me get my boiler going again. This worked and saved me the call out charge. The world needs more tradesmen like this: helpful and honest. Great customer service. Thanks Iain.

Iain came out just before christmas, our boiler broke as he was finishing his last shift before the holidays but he still came out at 8pm. We have a newborn and just prior to her being born my partner lost her job so finances have been extremely tight. As well as doing the call out so late he did not charge us for the work he had to do. NOt only was the work amazing he restored my faith in humanity.

Emergency This morning (Sunday) Water flooding out of boiler. Had to shut main water valve to house to stop flood. Contacted Edinburgh Heating and spoke to Iain who was extremely helpful. He diagnosed the fault over the phone, talked me through isolating the hot water from the boiler to the taps. Now I have heating, water to the house. Emergency averted and now have time to arrange repair to the boiler so that I can have hot water taps again.
Can't thank him enough.

Our 40 year old system died the first day snow fell in Spring ‘18.
Trying to find someone to replace it was a frustrating experience; our listed building was treated like a modern house and they couldn’t cope with the solid flagstone floors; they told us we must get rid of the hot water tank and must have this or that boiler - it was what they used; they had a solution they tried to impose on us … even if they even bothered to come and take a look.

Eventually, I found Edinburgh Heating and Iain’s approach was totally different.
He listened to our needs and wants.
He took time to understand the building and our needs designing a system that would deliver exactly what we wanted.
What’s more he delivered it on time and it has now been running perfectly and our gas bill has dropped and the house is the warmest it has ever been – all day.

Iain’s calculations showed that the old micro-bore system could never have delivered the heat we wanted – even when it was new.
His pipework, which you can’t see is a work of art.
His team were careful, clean and tidy.

The aluminium radiators deliver a different type of heat.
The boiler is better built and designed than the ‘Brands’ others were offering and that we’d had previously.
The titanium water tank specified supplies scalding water instantly and is so well lagged it stays hot all day.
When we found the mains water pressure too low, Iaine simply added an American made accumulator to the system. No drama whatsoever.
The WiFi control is brilliant and works.

My boiler had stopped working and I phoned up Iain at Edinburgh heating to see if he could come and fix it. He was on the other side of town and was fully booked, but he gave me some advice which allowed me to get the boiler working again. Really nice guy, very helpful and knowledgeable, he saved the day. I would definitely call him next time I need any work doing.

Edinburgh Heating removed our 1980s boiler, radiators and controls and replaced with a brand new two zone system with WiFi enabled thermostats.

Throughout the job and afterwards we haven't been able to fault Edinburgh Heating's work, their service or their aftercare. The system they have installed works perfectly and we are very pleased with our remotely controllable high efficiency system.

my boiler decide to go on strike so I contacted shona at Edinburgh heating and she arranged for ian to come and have look at the culprit. Our boiler stopped working 10 days before Christmas and I spent 3 days trying to find a heating engineer that could fit us in. Edinburgh Heating called me back, managed to fit me in to their busy schedule and attended when they said they would (unlike some other heating companies I could mention who gave me three separate "no-shows").

Iain attended and was friendly, polite and professional throughout.
He "unseized" the boiler pump, gave me some advice for nursing the system through the festive period and also recommended some remedial work including solutions to resolve the layout issues of the pipework caused by the chimps that installed the system in the first place.

I was also impressed with his invoicing system, a PDF invoice direct from his phone :)

We wanted to replace our old combi boiler with a modern one and add a Nest thermostat. Edinburgh Heating Ltd gave us excellent advice on options for replacement and a very good value price. Then, when our old boiler packed it in before the scheduled date for its replacement, they made arrangements to bring the installation forward at very short notice! Really appreciated, as it was midwinter and the alternative would have been getting a spare part to be used for just a few weeks.

Iain did a fabulous job. He installed evohome for me and TBH its the sort of old fashioned customer service and quality tradesmanship that is sadly lacking with a lot of firms these days. Fitted a new boiler for my 84 year old mum and wouldn't hesitate in recommending this company. Didn't try to sell anything other than the boiler; very trustworthy, respectful, clean, tidy workers. I called Iain at Edinburgh Heating to quote on a new boiler after our old boiler was broken following a repair by another engineer. Iain really knows his stuff and is thorough, friendly and reliable. He kept us informed and pulled out all the stops to install our new boiler quickly as we had no heating. In one day Iain and Raymond upgraded our gas pipe and installed our new Vaillant ecoTEC exclusive Green iQ 835 boiler. As he is an Advanced Vaillant installer we get an extended guarantee of 7 years which we're delighted with. There was a problem with the signal on the wireless thermostat programmer (which was not Iain's fault) but he happily returned and wired the receiver externally to the boiler to remedy the problem and we are delighted with the result. Our thanks go to Iain and Raymond as you've restored our faith in reliable trustworthy tradesmen.

I contacted Iain through Facebook initially, which he followed up with a phone call. He came to view the work required and did the job there and then!! Very tidy installation of a 3rd Gen Nest Thermostat with advice and recommendation for some further work. Absolutely would recommend and will be the first person I call for any further work!
