Edinburgh Heating provides a full range of services to central heating and hot water systems throughout Edinburgh and the Lothians.
We are Gas Safe registered, and have been well reviewed for our quality of work both on Trusted Trader and other sites.
We are Advanced installers for Vaillant boilers, one of the best on the market. German engineering and proven reliability.
We are also Platinum Installers for the Intergas brand of boilers from Holland where they are the market leader and for good reason too. We believe their boilers represents a significant step forward in design, with less moving components inside they are more reliable, more efficient and more cost efficient than traditional boilers.
We are also accredited to install the Nest learning thermostat as one of their pro installers. The Nest thermostat learns your routines and ideal temperatures and then quietly goes about it's business of keeping your home at the perfect temperature while saving you money.

Have had my boiler serviced for 3 years and never found any fault with service provided from Iain himself to other staff from office staff to other engineers who have attended also.
Everyone answers any questions I have with ease and very professional.
Prices are very reasonable able too.

Chris came to service our boiler this week. As usual I was kept fully informed of his arrival time and he did a very efficient and competent job. We have used the company several times now and are very happy with the friendly professional service they offer. Iain has given us excellent advice and Sarah in the office is charming and helpful too. I thoroughly recommend them.

My Google Nest CH controller stopped working just when the weather turned to snow and wind. The plumber and electrician combo who installed the system were "rushed off their feet, no time, sorry" and could offer no help.
I called Iain, Edinburgh Heating at random and am so pleased I did.
Firstly, he gave me advice on how to contact Google appliances help and mentioned there were issues with latest version of the heat link and they may replace for free even although (just) outside warranty. As a result I will receive a replacement heat link for free.
Secondly, he arranged for an engineer to come round to temporarily by-pass the defunct heat link and restore heating to my place. The engineer had come, fixed the by-pass and was gone with 90 minutes.
I am seriously impressed and know now who will get any further business from me.

We have a two storey flat in an old Victorian tenement block with building quirks including split levels, traditional flooring and an indoor cat. Iain and his friendly and efficient team worked extremely hard and did an amazing job installing a whole new central heating system across two storeys, and dealt really well with all the challenges which our flat presented. They were friendly, thorough, tidy and very professional. We are extremely pleased and look forward to our first winter in a warm flat!

Iain replaced our system over 2 years ago. This is the first winter I've spent the whole time at home. The system he fitted for us has excelled my expectations. Our home is over 300 years old and with the old inadequate system we could never keep the house warm and as a result couldn't afford to run it to capacity. This new system is heating the home in a much more balanced and cost effective way. I can even work in my kitchen with no ancillary heating. Unknown in 40 years! We left a review at the time to say how pleased we were with Iain and his team, working sometimes in very difficult circumstances - our external wall proved to be very challenging! I feel so happy with the system I feel an update is appropriate.

I had no heating or hot water on a cold Saturday in January. I have a Scottish Gas Homecare contract but their engineers were on strike and I was told to call a local trader. Edinburgh Heating we’re unable to come out to fix the problem, but kindly talked me through on the phone how to reset my boiler. I had both heating and hot water in minutes. Friendly, competent service. Would recommend.

I had a boiler gas leak and an initial engineer was unable to solve the problem, insisting a joiner would be needed to remove and rebuild the surrounding unit first to gain access. A friend recommended Iain and he called back the same day, arranged to come out the next and was able to quickly fix the leak without any additional work required. Was a relief someone was able to fix it so quickly without it becoming a bigger job. Great guy and highly recommended.

I can't think of anything I would have done differently with Edinburgh Heating. I found them on Edinburgh Trusted Traders, so was already quite confident, but they far exceeded expectations.
Initially we contacted them to have them service the ancient boiler in our new flat. However when we got the keys it became apparent that the boiler was so old it was likely to be both inefficient and unreliable, so we changed our request before they came, to fitting a new boiler instead. They took that in their stride, and came to discuss options. They fitted the new boiler the next day, at what we feel was a very good price, and worked cleanly and quickly. They also returned to fit a Nest thermostat, which we are big fans of too.
All their communication has been great, and they have been a pleasure to deal with.

Iain came out to complete my boiler's first annual service and a gas safety certificate. He was quickly able to identify that there was a better way to connect my Nest thermostat to the boiler and was also able to configure my Intergas boiler to be more efficient at the same time. I'm very happy with the service provided and will use Edinburgh Heating again in the future.

My boiler developed a fault late on Friday night. I contacted Iain first thing on Saturday morning and - despite having personal family commitments of his own - he took the trouble to call me back and talk me through a temporary fix for the boiler. He wouldn’t take a penny for doing it. I’ve got a three year old son who is staying with me this evening and it would have been a disaster if I didn’t have any hot water or central heating. I honestly can’t thank him enough and definitely will use and recommend him in the future.
