I was very impressed with the service provided by Edinburgh Tree Surgeons. My initial enquiry emails were answered promptly and I was offered an appointment within a few days. Ellie was very professional and I felt confident in her knowledge about the trees at my property. She went above and beyond the initial remit, spending plenty of time with me discussing different options. I received a prompt quotation which gave me practical advice and next steps for managing several trees. I would recommend the company and will be using them in due course for work needing done.

Our next door neighbours had had a large tree removed and recommended Edinburgh Tree Surgeons to us. We had let our front garden trees - conifers that we had planted when we moved here 30 years ago - grow too big and into a sort of hedge. We also have a tall plum tree nearby which had expanded in all directions. Over the years we had trimmed all the trees ourselves but this year we decided it was time to seek professional horticultural advice on what would be best for the species of trees and the overall look of the garden. Alan came to chat to us ahead of the job, and we agreed that a significant amount of reduction of all three trees was essential. The two guys who came to do the job the next day were efficient, expert, H&S conscious and did the whole job in good time. All the cuttings (which included some chunky tree trunk pieces) were shredded on site and removed for reuse - clean and tidy. A great job! And the garden looks 100% better now too.

Edinburgh Tree Surgeons pruned a fairly out-of-shape tree and removed two old shrubs in my back garden. From first contact to quote and scheduling the work, to execution it was very efficient, excellent value for money and high quality. Could not have wished for a better job to be done and planning to commission some further work shortly.

Cleared out 2 beds of azaleas, trimming rhododendron bushes and 2 other bushes, neighbour's hedge between gardens, 2 trees (weigela and lilac) darkening our bathroom window. All excellently done.

Alan and his team pruned two overgrown tress; they did an excellent job, and tidied up afterwards. They are always good to deal with, answer queries promptly and arrive on time.
Very efficient service, happy to recommend. In fact, they're coming back next year to keep on top of the pruning!

I contacted Alan to remove a tree from our garden. He was great and easy to deal with and provided a very competitive quote. He advised what time his team (Barry and Cliff) would arrive and they were prompt, personable and very professional. We were delighted with the work they did, taking care to not damage surrounding bushes and also went the extra mile by cutting up some of the tree for firewood. We had a great experience and would definitely recommend Alan and his team.

Alan and his team have taken a very complex and tricky tree felling operation for me on behalf of a communal stair.
The trees in question were a strip of conifers about 30 metres long and about 80 foot high.
They were road side which made the job even more complex however his team have done a marvellous job in section felling them down and shredding and removing all the light weight bulky material.
Where I am very impressed with Alans service is he is very flexible in his approach and worked along with us. He section cut all the barrels of the trees which allowed us to dispose of them on gumtree and other sources which saved us huge sums of money.
As it was such a difficult project to estimate we worked on a daywork basis which helped us both through the project.
Delighted with Alan and his team and I look forward to working with him again.

We used Edinburgh Tree Surgeons to remove limbs from a tree in our shared New Town garden, including obtaining planning consent.

Alan kindly came to prune my apple tree and stake it. Not only was he on time and super friendly, he was quick and efficient and cleaned up after himself too. Really pleased with the work. Removal of 4 large trees - work was completed quickly and to a high standard. Removed all debris and left the garden and street clean and tidy. Good communication and came quickly for the quote and quickly to do the work. Good company to deal with.
