Reliable, tidy, honest tradesman, John made a lovely job of replacing kitchen units and re-sanded wooden worktop. Not keen on having workmen in after being messed about a bit in the past but I wouldn't hesitate to have this company back and will recommend to friends and family.

Balmoral Joinery has done several jobs for me in a building in New Town, all of which have been done to a very high standard, on budget and on time. They were able to renovate the original doors to the building in order to remove the large gaps between the frame and the actual door. This has greatly reduced the drafts and dirt coming in from outside and the doors look as if they have always been there. It's impossible to tell where the work was done. They also built a partition to divide a stairwell and installed floor joists and a door to create two spacious storage closets. Both John and Sean are very skilled and I would highly recommend them and use them again in the future.

The team did several jobs for us a while ago now - but we are so pleased with how it all turned out, we wanted to recommend them to others. They didn't always finish on time, but did work hard to fit things in around commitments to meet our expectations. Their workers took time to understand how we were going to use the space and made sure that the installation worked for us and didn't just provide a minimum job. As a result we have really usable roof space that works for us and has some clever features we would have not thought of.

I had a range of fitted bookshelves installed. They are outstandingly good. The work was done promptly and cleanly. Very highly recommended. I have already arranged further work from them

John fitted a kitchen for me and has done an exceptional job. He quoted immediately when I contacted him and the work was started and completed within a week. The final cost was exactly as quoted and there was no hidden extras. He completed the job to a very high standard and even my family friend joiner was impressed. We needed 75sqm of oak floor fitted throughout the downstairs of our property and 7 new doors fitted. John and Sean done a brilliant job and are lovely guys also!

We asked John to construct Shaker style wardrobes in an eaves room together with a storage unit/window seat. Sean, the joiner, listened carefully to our design request and always checked with us first if any queries arose. He was professional throughout and his attention to detail and workmanship was second to none. We are delighted with the results and can’t wait to start painting the units to complete the work. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for joinery work.

John and his team have done a wonderful job building an extension to our old cottage, creating a larger bedroom with en-suite. Externally, the finish blends in so well with existing that you would hardly notice. Internally, they had to deal with the challenges of different levels, breaking through the old wall to form the doorway to the bedroom. The quality of workmanship is excellent. The team were conscientious and nothing was a problem. We are delighted with the end result.

We engaged Balmoral Joinery & Building to construct a single story extension to the rear of our property to provide a new larger kitchen and family living area.
The work was managed exceptionally well and we were able to ask questions and be nosey as to what was happening each day.
They had an input at the design stage which we were very happy with, and the sub teams engaged were all top tradesman.
The completed extension is exactly what we wanted and was delivered on time and within budget.

John did a very good job of redoing our bedroom and creating an ensuite and wardrobe within it. He organised all the relevant trades and ensured all the work was done quickly. He was amenable to all our suggestions and last minute changes of mind, which was much appreciated. Within a month we had a beautiful new ensuite that looked like it belonged there!

Having obtained a few estimates for our new kitchen we finally decided on accepting the plan and quotation of John Stanton's Balmoral Joinery.
We have no regrets in doing so. John himself was wholly responsible for all the joinery, flooring and tiling work, which was completed to a high standard, while he also efficiently organised and coordinated the essential contributions of plumber/heating engineer, electrician and decorators.
