We noticed our front door was becoming difficult to lock which we put down to the recent spell of warm weather & the UPVC door swelling a little.
Eventually we couldn't get the door closed or locked at all, after a couple of hours of trying everything we could, we decided we'd need to call someone out.

We called Barrhead Lock & Door, as it was the nearest 24 hour company; the call initially rang out, but David called us back a few minutes later.
After explaining the situation David said it sounded like the door needed realigned, he gave me a price & asked if we needed the job done immediately or could it wait until morning. It was late on a Sunday night but since we live across from a row of shops & it had been obvious to people passing that we were having trouble with the door, we asked David to come out immediately.

David arrived about 10 mins later, he was very pleasant, professional & had the job done in a few minutes, even looking at the back door before he left as we had a similar issue with that but not as bad.

We would definitely recommend David & Barrhead Lock & Door, for a timeous response & in our eyes good value for peace of mind & would use the company again for any lock/door issues.

Our front bedroom PVC window would not open. I contacted Barrhead Lock & Door Co early morning with my issue. I was contacted asap and the tradesman attended around 0930 for a no fee quote, the quote was based on a visual inspection as this is all that could be done. I was quoted for a faulty handle and a faulty mechanism I was happy for the tradesman to proceed.

Job was completed in less that 30 minutes

The tradesman took the time to point out tell-tale signs for the window possible going again and gave me information how to keep the parts maintained.

Before leaving I also had a faulty front door which the tradesman carried out a few adjustments on the hinges and giving more informing and how to adjust myself. (This was no extra charge nor would he take any extra payment)

David was great he came on time I was late rushing back but reassured me not to rush which was great he changed the locks which gave me
Peace of mind as I lost my keys he was quick, efficient, on time, quality of workmanship was excellent , friendly guy , reasonable price , very happy 5 starts , quality of products used to change the locks are excellent spare keys were given which is a bonus would use again and will recommending him

Having worked with David for years in the commercial property maintenance industry I knew that he would deliver a professional service. I’ve had David carrying out work at my home and my wife’s shop. Top service extremely reliable and he’s not in it to rip off customers. A gentleman and a total pro.

Came and replaced new locks on a new unit I was renting and also changed the lock on a door for access to a toilet.

On time, nothing was a issue always on hand for advice. Very reasonably priced also.

Landlord had misplaced keys to backdoor of property. David had the door open and lock changed with 2 keys supplied all under 15 minutes. Best in the business
