Derek has been used by us for more than 7 years and it is no accident he is always our first port of call for all electrical work. In addition to residential electrical work in our home, two charities with which I actively involved engage Derek for electrical certification work required by our insurers and for other maintenance work.

Derek is always highly responsive, reliable, and thorough. Work is timeously carried out to a consistently high standard and I have complete confidence in the quality of the work carried out.

I have little doubt I shall continue to use Derek including for the installation shortly of a wall box for our first hybrid vehicle yet to be delivered.

Have used Derek for household electrical repairs ranging from fixing kitchen cabinet lights and replacing socket plates to installing a new shower isolator switch. He has always been prompt in replying to calls for help when the electrics go wrong and has shown his reliability in fixing any faults and turning up when he said he would. His prices are also reasonable and fair. Happy to use again.

Derek was asked to support in installing a large chandelier style light fixture in my hallway stairwell. This involved removing the old light fitting and installing the new one. Some adjustments were required. Derek also installed two downstairs hallway light fittings. To reach the larger light fixture Derek has to set up and climb a large ladder which he brought in and removed from my hallway without any issues with snagging. Derek uninstalled an old smoke detector, motion sensor as well as 2 old alarm and heating panels. Derek was quick to respond, punctual and kind. The price was on the higher end however I had no issues with the work completed. Would Recommend.

Derek has done a fair bit of work for us over the last couple of years (emergency work, lighting, sockets, etc.) and it has all been done very professionally.

He's a pleasure to work with as he does what he says he's going to do! I He shows up on time and tidies up when he's finished. As far as actual electrical work carried out, it is refreshing that he does exactly what you ask and does not try to talk you out of something because it would be too much effort (something that has happened to me several times in the past).

If you want a considerate, thoughtful professional job I can't recommend him enough.

My wife and I have known Derek for 20 years. During this time we have used his services several times. When we have had an electrical problem Derek has always been prompt to attend. He is always thorough, courteous and professional. We would not hesitate to recommend him.

Derek came at very short notice after the idiots our energy company sent out to fit a smart meter managed to disconnect the supply to our hot water tank.

We were left without hot water for 2wks whilst arguing with the firm. I called Derek and he came the same morning and had everything back up and running within the hour.

I have used him a number of times since as he is reliable and inexpensive.

Great workmanship - very professional and good value for money

Derek has done a wide range of jobs in our home over the last few years. He has fitted smoke alarms, a new extractor fan and most recently put LED lights into the ceiling in the lounge. This has totally transformed the look and brightness in the room.
