Additional socket required. Quick response to my initial enquiry, a clear explanation of what was required and why, and the job carried out in a very neat and tidy manner on the agreed date. Highly recommended.

I needed an illuminated bathroom cabinet installed and Colin was quite quick to respond to my enquiry and arrange the work.
On the day he checked what we wanted and got on with it, then checked we were happy with it.
Unfortunately we then discovered an issue with the light not working independently of the landing light due to a quirk of the wiring in our house. However, it was clear Colin had not been aware of that issue and he did apologise and came back to re-do the work which he again got on with quite swiftly and even hoovered up after himself. I also mentioned an issue with our doorbell not being wired up which he sorted for us free of charge.
So overall very happy with the service in the end.

We have used Colin on three recent occasions. The first was his successfully diagnosing then sorting an external problem that had puzzled several electricians including some who refused the job.
Since then we have used him a two other occasions and have been very satisfied with his work....and he comes when he says he would! He focuses on the job, so you are not paying for idle chit chat.

Colin wired a new ceiling for me installing 6 spotlights and 13 downlights each on separate switches. He charged a fair price, turned up on time, was tidy and most obliging; I am delighted with his work which was first class in every respect.

I was having my whole house rewired, which I don't believe has been done since the property was build in the mid-1970's.
This rewiring consisted of two bedrooms, bathroom, hallway & stairs, kitchen, & living room & dining area, including a new fuse box & lighting throughout.
From watching certain aspects of their work, I'm sure none of this was easy, but Cross Country Electricians made the whole thing look effortless.

This is the first time I have experienced work of this nature, so I didn't really know what to expect, but luckily the whole experience was made less stressful by them advising me to move out for the week, although I did visit daily, as you do.
Don't believe everything you see on the home renovation programmes, trust me, you really can't stay on site with all that dust!

I'm pleased to say they always arrived on time, worked tirelessly & very efficiently throughout the day, & cleaned up afterwards, never leaving before 4.
Nothing was too much trouble for them, even the plastering work.
They also gave me advise on how to deal with the dried new plaster, before I eventually covering it over, something I hadn't even considered.

If I asked about any alterations to the plans, these were discussed, & implemented, if we decided they would work better for me.
In fact, every step of the process was fully explained, so I sort of understood what was going on.

As I was getting a new kitchen fitted a few weeks later, that part of the rewiring was started, but the final fix was also booked in separately for the installation date.
The present kitchen though was made safe, so I could still use it without worry.
Colin has since returned to do the first fixes for the new kitchen & will finish these off this week once the kitchen is finished.

When he came to do this kitchen work, I asked if he could fit another couple of double sockets in my living room, one including USB points, similar to those in the bedrooms, because it's only now that I'm living here again, & rearranging my furniture, that I can see better what I'll need for the future.
These details were noted, & it's not going to be a problem.
As I said, nothing's too much trouble for Cross Country Electricians.
