Case Study - A W Ramage

Friday 05 October 2018

Sandy Ramage is the proprietor of AW Ramage and has been a Trusted Trader since 2013. His main reason for joining the scheme was “To reach customers looking for qualified, reliable, professional tradespeople and avoid the commercially driven trade pedlars.”

Sandy describes the vetting process as “Thorough, which was encouraging”, that saw AW Ramage awarded Trusted Trader membership along with other traders who met the required criteria set by Trading Standards and agreed to abide by their strict code of conduct.

The review process is a huge part of the scheme so that potential customers can read about other happy customers, something that Sandy recognises and takes full advantage of: “I encourage customers to leave reviews online and I like the look and layout of the new web page. It’s easy to navigate, especially for customers to read and leave reviews.”

"I am contacted regularly by customers who have sourced me through the Trusted Trader platform"

Not only does Sandy benefit from a newly generated flow of work requests but joining the scheme has also helped to give his business a new direction, as he describes; “I have developed my website to focus on East Lothian, as the business profile and reputation grows in the area.”

We are always keen to hear how our Traders feel about their membership to the scheme, so we were more than delighted to be told by Sandy, “Through its brand, platform and promotion, joining the East Lothian Trusted Trader has assisted A W Ramage Electricians to expand its reputation in East Lothian, enabling us to focus on delivering quality, value and service to our customers. Values which are shared and promoted by the Trusted Trader Scheme.”
