As an older woman on my own, I have had all sorts of trades people out. I’ve noticed 2 distinct groups: the first spot an older single female and take advantage - they either do a shoddy job or over charge, (or both.)
The second category, (in the minority) help as much as they can. Alan definitely comes into that category. I couldn’t believe how long he spent trying to get my old carpets as good as new - he couldn’t have been more helpful. A genuine kind, helpful and trustworthy person. I can’t recommend him highly enough.
