Had 5 stumps grinded and a Silver Birch chopped down.
Great company. The communications were very good. Punctual and priced very reasonable. After the grinding work was completed, it was tidied up nicely. The Birch came down effortlessly and the lads took their time tidying up.
They chopped the trunk into 8” blocks and even placed it into the wood store! Very impressed with this company and would highly recommend.

Had a new bathroom installed. The arrived when they said they would, cleared up after themselves and made sure all rubbish was removed. Alan organised all the other trades to be on site while the installation was taking place and so made it easier for us. Any issues or problems were dealt with swiftly.

We recently had our roof replaced along with Solar PV, battery storage, and an EV charging point installed by MSER, and I can honestly say the whole experience exceeded expectations.

Michael initially visited us to discuss solar installation options. During the conversation, I mentioned that we were also considering replacing the roof on our older house. I explained that we wanted to improve the insulation as well, but were concerned about the amount of mess and disruption that usually comes with that type of work.

Rather than treating these as separate jobs, Michael came up with a neat solution — replacing the slate roof and old sarking boards whilst insulating the roof at the same time. This meant the work could largely be carried out from the outside, keeping disruption inside the house to an absolute minimum, which made a huge difference for us.

I was also quite concerned that adding solar panels would spoil the appearance and character of the house, but again a thoughtful solution was provided using roof-integrated solar panels. The finished look is incredibly neat and sympathetic to the age of the property — you notice the quality of the finish rather than the panels themselves.

The quote for the entire project was also very competitive, especially considering the scale and complexity of the work involved.

Once work started, I really appreciated how involved and informed I was kept throughout the process. The team on site were professional, hardworking, and approachable, and always took the time to answer any questions I had. With a project of this size there were naturally a few unforeseen issues along the way, but the communication from the team was superb throughout. Rather than presenting problems, they always came with practical solutions and clear options, which made the whole process feel straightforward and stress-free.

Having the EV charger installed at the same time also made perfect sense, and it was great being able to deal with one local company that could coordinate everything together rather than juggling multiple contractors.

The end result has genuinely transformed the house. The roof looks fantastic, the insulation improvements are already noticeable, and the solar, battery, and EV charging setup are all performing brilliantly.

It’s rare to find a company that combines technical knowledge, practical problem-solving, workmanship, and customer service this well. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend MSER to anyone considering roofing or renewable energy work.

Quick and what was required. Cleaned site afterwards, very happy with work.

Had hot and cold water taps fitted inside industrial unit, hot water tank and outside drainage. Alan is a fantastic guy, was very helpful and fit me in very quickly knowing my business required a speedy service to get up and running. Excellent customer service.

Got up one Saturday to find our heating was broken. Was given Alan’s details from another plumber who couldn’t attend and Alan came out within a couple of hours. Hoped that it was just a leaking valve which had to be ordered but unfortunately that fixed the leak but boiler still not working and because of its age was not worth spending more money on so a new boiler was ordered and fitted a few days later. Everything was fitted quickly and cleanly and we now have an energy efficient boiler that’s guaranteed for the next 12 years.
Will definitely use Alan again.

Everything was done to the highest of standards. Also prompt service and nothing a hassle.
