We recently had to replace an old asbestos roof on our double garage. Ian Barrett and his team were excellent. The guys who carried out the work arrived on the morning of the start date and continued working in a very efficient and courteous manner. The work was completed in a couple of days and we're delighted with the finished work.

We received a quote for the replacement of our slate roof from Ian Barrett Roofing Ltd and although it seemed a lot of money I asked around and a neighbour recommended them. It was on line with other quotes I had received. I therefore decided to go ahead with it so confirmed that I would like the work to be done. I wasn't sure of a start date but was not concerned. As it happened a cancellation meant that my roof replacement could go ahead. Unfortunately we were to be away during the work but were happy for them to do the work. The old slates which kept slipping were removed and replaced by Spanish slate. After our return the work was still in progress but it was soon completed and I was very happy with the result.

Solved a leak into a sun room by stripping and retiling small roof area, Work carried out efficiently and roof finished as it should have been done in the first place, but before our time in the house. Very happy with the work and no more leaks! Would highly recommend.

Honestly had several roofers over a 4 year period. All promised solutions. All different. Ian Barrett Roofing visited, took some time listening and looking and resolved the problems over a 3 day period. All workmen were extremely courteous and careful around property. No hesitation recommending Ian Barrett Roofing.

Got a quote for replacement of guttering with an updated (wider) version plus repair of a section of the wooden fascia. Communications were good and I was kept informed of when the work would start. All the staff were friendly and efficient and the crew cleared up after the work. The price was very reasonable for the work done. I would recommend Ian Barrett Roofing Ltd and would use them again.

We had two large roofs renovated with all the old woodwork replaced, new leadwork, some tiles replaced and many other maintenance issues attended to.
The company was highly professional and easy to deal with, right from the first visit, to the quotation, to the work itself, and billing. They were easy to communicate with and once the job was started, they worked every day until it was finished. They did an excellent job and left the site tidy every day. The new eaves etc are very attractive and have greatly improved the appearance of our house and large garage. I have no complaints at all and would recommend this company to anybody. They are not the cheapest but you get what you pay for.

An excellent job. A significant part of our pantiled cottage required re-roofing. The company communicated well from quote stage to completion. They turned up exactly when they said, did exactly what was quoted, and took exactly the estimated time. High quality work, and a very pleasant, considerate and helpful team. First rate.
All such work is very expensive these days, so it's difficult to give 5 stars for value - but I doubt if I could have got as good a job for less.
Would I use Ian Barrett again? Undoubtedly.

After some heavy rainfall storms in Fife, my wife and I noticed a leak in our attic. Looked up roofers and Ian Barrett had good reviews. I can see why. I message Ian and he came to my property the next day. Workers came the following week and repaired the damage and installed additional tiles and flashing to prevent future leaks all for a couple hundred pounds.
Quick service done right at a fair price. Hard to beat that.

The task was to check over the roof, replace missing slates, add spikes to discourage nesting seagulls, and generally tidy up the roof ready for winter.
The 2 tradesmen that came to do the job were friendly, and efficient. They carried out all of the work requested, and advised on further work that may be necessary in the future. There was no pressure to have any extra work carried out.
Not the cheapest, but definitely worth paying the extra to have the confidence that the work had been done properly.
Will be looking to use them again in a couple of years for another check over.

Several months ago I had Ian’s team work on the window bands of my 100+ year house. There was clearly more work than initially thought to the poor condition of the stone. Ian’s team went above and beyond to repair and paint to bring them back to their original condition. One if his team came back on a Saturday to ensure the work was finished on time.
