Bathroom repair and refit.
Andy responded quickly as we were without the use of the bathroom because of a water leak.
The work was thorough, good quality and finished as quickly as possible. Excellent.

We gave Andy quite a large and complex job of repair to our wooden porch. Difficult for Andy to estimate easily as much of the work which might need to be done was hidden.
Andy's approach to estimating the job was well considered. He gave the job a lot of his personal attention. He and his team (Jamie and Brodie) worked hard, with great attention to detail and obvious pride and care in their work. They were very tidy, and very pleasant to have around. It was encouraging to see how the two experienced joiners worked well to involve and explain stuff to the apprentice Brodie.

Andy completed the project in good time, (a little, but acceptably and understandably above the estimate) to our complete satisfaction - an important job well done. He introduced us to a painter and roofer for the rest of the work.

Our hall flooring needed uplifting to identify issues with the uneven floor. Andrew and his young apprentice were friendly and very professional. They quickly identified the problem and rectified it.

Door lock that was not easily sourced or easy to fit.
Andy spent time getting advice from the original builders to get exactly what we needed and persevered to get it fitted. Other trades looked and never followed up! We will definitely use Andy again in the future as his work is excellent and he is reliable!

Andy Cairns was commissioned to replace an existing Fire Door in our Village Hall and did a very good job. As a result of that experience, we asked him to do a duplicate repeat job on another door.

Andy was a joint contractor in our house extension. Carrying out extensive joinery work along with installation of new kitchen. He was always on time and was very meticulous in all the jobs that he carried out. I would definitely recommend Andy and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending him to others.

Various joinery work undertaken over the years the most recent was fitting a replacement double glazed window unit in an upstairs bedroom. Andy is reliable, polite, professional and his work is always of a high standard. I have been a customer of his for some time now and have no intentions of using anyone else in future.

Andy fitted new internal doors for me. I found him to be a clean and tidy worker who was very easy to talk to about what I wanted and offered very good advice. Also found him to be a perfectionist in all aspects of his work.
