Chris Lodge renovated five sash and case windows in my Edinburgh flat. Excellent quality of workmanship, and the flat was left tidy at the end of each day. And all at a competitive price. To be recommended.

I am very happy with the window refurbishment that Chris did in my flat. I felt the price was reasonable as there was obviously a lot of work involved as well as some materials being required. Chris is friendly and hardworking. He made a conscious effort to minimise disruption in the flat whilst he was working and tidied up at the end of each day.

Chris did a splendid job of our 22 windows. He always turned up on time and worked hard throughout the day, fuelled by coffee! He is a really nice guy too.

Chris refurbished and repaired our bay window, both wood and stonework, and replaced the old glass with 'slimlite' double glazed units. Our windows now look smart and are also draught-proof and sound insulated. He gave very good advice during our consultation and would quite happily have done as good a job with single glazing if our budget had been tighter (but still cheaper than replacement double glazed windows). We were able to arrange for him to have access whilst we were away on holiday, and as it involved about 8 days' work this was less disruptive for us and worked out well. I would have no hesitation in recommending his work and would definitely use his services again.

Chris did a great job of repairing our window frames. He gave us options on what he could for us without any pressure to commit to the job. His quote was very reasonable - he even charged us less on the day as the job was more straightforward than had initially thought. I would recommend Chris and without doubt use him again.

The work involved (a) designing and building a pair of bookcases to fit into the available space, and (b) reconstituting and redecorating a toilet-area. This work was completed speedily and to a very high standard. In particular, the bookcases look extremely professional and are finished-off to a high level of detail. Similarly, the toilet area was substantially transformed from "bare walls, floor and ceiling" into a well-finished, tiled and decorative space. I was especially pleased with Chris's flexibility and his willingness to discuss the ongoing jobs. He made many useful suggestions and recommendations throughout. He is reliable, inventive, hard-working and trustworthy.

Chris did 2 jobs for us: making and fitting replacement window shutters and cutting down a piece of furniture ( a futon). In both cases he carried out the work to an exceedingly high standard, obviously taking a professional pride in every aspect of his work. He will be be our first port of call for any future work. Very highly recommended.

Christopher did a great job in renovating my windows, replacing what needed replaced and repairing the parts that did not. He took great care and had pride in producing an excellent finish to the job. The estimates he gave were accurate and supported with pictures. He fearlessly worked at height (with safety gear).
