Chris was a joy to work with, he refettled our tired Georgian windows throughout the house, fitting Simplex hinges to enable improved access to the sashes. Each window was given a thorough prepping and overhaul followed by an excellent standard of painting.

Chris has replaced various sash cords in my upper flat as well as, recently, installing double glazing in a sash and case window. He's always pleasant to deal with, arrives punctually, is a tidy worker and has lots of experience of both timber and glazing in old windows so I don't hesitate to recommend him for such jobs.

Chris , from Lodge restoration, is a skilled, gifted craftsman. He restored some draughty Victorian windows in our very exposed house. We are delighted with his work which was carried out on time and on budget. We certainly notice the difference in the temperature of the rooms. We were keen to repair and preseve our original sash and case windows and upgrade all the glass to Slimlite double glazing within our family home. Christopher is a skilled and knowledgeable craftsman, who was friendly, efficient and reasonably priced. All aspects of the work were handled by him (sometimes with able assistants for the heavy lifting) and his commitment to delivering a high-quality job was evident from his prolonged effort and long hours to make sure each window was perfect. Frame and window repairs, new glazing, draft proofing, new parting beads, batton rods, sash cords, weights, brassware, new mastic and painting were all expertly delivered by Christopher. He was easy to deal with, answered all our questions quickly and even refurbished one window first to ensure we would be satisfied with the results and quality of work. He was true to his quote with no hidden or surprise costs. A genuine, trustworthy and skilled tradesperson who I would highly recommend.

Chris converted a number of existing window frames from single to double glazed units, stripping back wood and repairing plus all the associated fittings. We are so pleased with the standard of his workmanship. He works very hard, is cheery, well organised, totally trustworthy and nothing is too much trouble. He will give you an honest assessment of your request. We will certainly be using Chris again to finish off other windows and thoroughly recommend him to you.

Chris repaired a rotten window sill for us on our sash and case windows. He was able to fit our job in and worked quickly, efficiently and tidied up after the work was complete. We will definitely get Chris back to do the full restoration of our windows in the near future.

Chris has replaced cords and repaired 2 sash windows, one of which was in a very tricky situation. I was grateful that he did the necessary painting to complete the job too! He’s personable, pleasant and interesting, all important factors when someone is working inside one’s home! Chris took on a really extensive window refurbishment job for us - eleven 200-year old sash and case windows, some of which were barely hanging on...

We'd had several quotes from other companies. A few sent out reps who were unable to answer a lot of the more technical questions. One of the things I liked about Chris is that he's the guy who does the quotes and does the work, so you get a straight answer right away. He was realistic about the scale of the job and didn't try to upsell anything.

Other companies were sceptical about being able to retain any of the original windows. Chris not only managed to retain most of our windows, he even reinstated many of the original glass panes and worked with a carpenter colleague to recreate the really unusual astragals where the originals couldn't be rescued. He really has done an absolutely first-class job. I'd highly recommend Chris to anyone. He's a true craftsman.

It was done with care and efficiency and the windows were saved from their rather delipidated state!
