We required our front wall to be repointed, Jimmy was quick, reliable and very competitive in price. Very pleased with the job and would highly recommend JMS to anyone.

An excellent job of repoining a garden wall usig lime mortar - he was happy to use the mortar we had ordered to get the look we wanted. He came on several days to bring the wall up to a high standard that now sets off everything round it.

- repairing and repointing a stone chimney stack, including replacing eroded stone, replacing rusty iron staples with stainless steel ones, replacing one pot and reseating another and redoing the flaunching
- complete two storey rear wall beautifully repointed.

Jimmy and his team were excellent. James worked constantly cleaning off mortar from bricks to allow them to be used again to rebuild our dividing garden wall. They worked whenever the weather allowed over winter and were understanding of delays brought about by the requirement to clear massive tree roots that had grown around the old foundation.

We were in need of a stonemason to carry out communal stonework repairs to our building (three flats). JMS Stonemason was selected following a recommendation from a neighbour and checking out reviews of his work on Edinburgh Trusted Trader website.

The masonry work (carved stone and inserts) was carried out to a high standard: started when planned and completed within the time period suggested by Mr Summers at the start. The final invoice matched the original estimate.
Mr Summers (Jimmy) was very easy to get along with and obliging.

The owners of the property are all happy with the work carried out and have agreed that in the event of needing the services of a stonemason again we would happily re-employ JMS Stonemason.

JMS repaired the front elevation of our main door tenement flat improving significantly its appearance. They also, repaired the brickwork of the three front walls which had been badly damaged by Ivy intrusion with attractive pointing. In addition, a roofing skew was replaced. The three member team were very discrete and industrious always leaving the work area clean and tidy at the days' send. We are delighted with the work and feel lucky to have found a local honest and diligent expert stonemason team. We highly recommend them.
