My husband and I needed a few minor jobs done in our house. We needed somebody who could fit us in quickly, prior to putting our house up for sale. Fixable Ltd we’re able to squeeze us in. They did a great job for a reasonable price. They were very helpful and friendly too. We really appreciate it. An unseen leak in the kitchen had caused the floor to rot under the sink and dishwasher. Fixable reviewed the damage and quickly submitted an estimate and plan for how to undertake the work. This included moving kitchen units, removing floor tiles, renewing the floor, putting the units back and re-tiling the floor.
Fixable quickly scheduled the work for around 3 weeks after our initial estimate. The work was undertaken in three days and the cleanliness, standard of work, attention to detail and updates on progress were excellent.
I have no hesitation in recommending Fixable as a very competent and professional company to undertake work in your home.

A living room wall was painted to cover 'ghosting' from a radiator. The colour had been discontinued but Fixable were able to mix the exact shade and it was a perfect match. A radiator shelf was also installed.

This is the second time I have used Fixable Ltd and will certainly use them again. Great service and communication and reasonably priced. Both tradesmen who turned for the jobs up were friendly, efficient and helpful.

We have had several jobs done by Fixable - painting, plumbing, bath sealing, tile replacement, bathroom lock replacement and draught excluding on windows. Everyone who's come has been polite, friendly , efficient and happy to give advice when asked. Not all the jobs have been straightforward but each time, a solution was found. I'm more than happy to recommend them.

Had additional work carried out this time in our en suite shower cubicle. The grouting at the bottom of the shower cubicle, was starting to look very tatty/worn and we had decided to ask Fixable to remove it, and replace it with new grouting/sealant. Whilst this work was being carried out, Steven from Fixable pointed out some water damage to some of the tiles caused by water leaking in through some of the worn sealant. He fixed this and made good and the overall job makes our shower cubicle look like new.

I had a handful of small jobs done in my new flat, from high ceiling lights being changed to heavy mirrors being fixed to the wall.

The service was absolutely excellent. From initial communication with the team to Ian arriving, they were prompt, did what they said they would and bang on time.

Engaged Fixable in carrying out some repairs to our home. Steven from Fixable, fitted a cold/hot water tap to the outside wall leading into our garden, fixed a leak in our upstairs bathroom, removed old grout from a shower room and replaced it with new silcone which he applied to a very high standard. Fixable are coming back in the new year to carry out one extra job in our house and I would have no hesitation in recommending their services. Steven was a pleasure to have in our home and also spent time explaining the work he was going to do before hand. 10 out of 10.

We had a range of small jobs needing done: a cat flap in the wall to be filled in, plastered and rendering done on the outside wall, a curtain pole put up with a reinforced backing board and refixing a wall panel that had loosened.
All the communication, quotes etc were well done and fairly priced.
Ian, who came to do the work was excellent and really helpful and polite. He came out beforehand to see what was needed and brought everything that was required with him on his return to do the work.

We used Fixable today for the first time-to fix curtain rails in a traditional Tollcross EH3 tenement. Each 3m window had its own peculiarities and challenges but Jim dealt with all of these expertly. He also cheerfully sorted other wee snaggy things in the flat. We had Jim come round and replace all our internal door handles, and fix up the sealant round the bath for us. Whilst he was here he also sorted out the tilt/open door in our bedroom which we had not been able to use for an age. Jim was great to have around, very friendly, clean, and efficient. For the lack of a part for a shower screen door, he was unable to fix that there and then, but he helped me identify a part I needed, and then showed me how the part needed fitting so I could finish that off myself, which I managed to do. We have used Fixable several times now for smaller jobs such as re-sealing our shower, hanging mirrors, large pictures, and most recently a wall-mounted cat bed and steps for our spoilt moggie. I have had two jobs completed and will use again

The work I had done was to replace a ceiling in a bathroom and fit an extraction fan, put skirting panels in, dismantle an existing light and replace with a new one and change several sockets in my kitchen. From my initial enquiry by phone to the work done I can’t fault them. Very reliable and professional and all at a reasonable price. Workman arrived on time and was considerate, helpful, cheerful and very tidy. The work done was to a high standard. I would certainly recommend this company if you want a perfect job done.

The whole experience with Fixable was great from start to finish. My son moved into his place in Edinburgh and didn’t know who to phone to fix all his odd jobs. He thought he would get a handyman as there were lots of different things like electrics and joinery. I am so glad I phoned Fixable Ltd as they were so helpful on the phone, nothing was a problem and they turned up when they said they would. They came out and assessed the job and he waited a while dir them to start as they were so busy. They fitted - a padded headboard on the wall, new door furniture, new wardrobe handles, new wooden security gate, new skirting boards, tv on wall with sound bar, added a spot light, replaced ceiling spot lights in lounge and hall, made stable skirting boards and other bits and pieces. Would definitely recommend.

Steven did two jobs for us - he re-did the sealant around our shower and repaired our kitchen waste pipe.

A variety of work including supplying and fitting a built-in cabinet in the kitchen, replacing sealant, supplying and fitting a new shower scree, supplying and fitting two broken stays on sash and case windows and several other smaller jobs.

Fixable Ltd completed an installation on a set of kitchen taps which before work could begin had a few challenges but Steven methodically worked these through and found solutions in a fuss free manner providing confidence with utmost professionalism.
At the point of agreeing the job Jo very kindly offered an alternative lever type tap option which exactly matched what was actually required and these were fitted.

We had a light fixture changed, a ceiling fan installed, a curtain pole/curtains put up, and two electrical sockets replaced.

We were very happy with all aspects of the service. Our emails were responded to promptly and we got booked in with ease. On the day, our handyman (sorry, didn’t catch his name!) was very friendly and efficient. I appreciate that he put down a mat to prevent as much dirt on the floor as possible.

Part of my bathroom ceiling collapsed last year thanks to heavy rain and a damaged roof. It's taken several months to get the ceiling fixed. Many companies either don't acknowledge emails or they promise on the phone to come take a look and never show etc. It's beyond frustrating.

Fixable are totally different. My initial query was answered in less than an hour and Jo arranged for Jim to come take a look later that week. He arrived on time and explained the different repair options to me.

The estimate was very competitive and I booked the work for about a fortnight later.

Again, Jim arrived bang on time. He explained exactly what he was going to be doing. Unfortunately the damage to the ceiling was worse than anticipated which meant the original plan wasn't going to work. Jim quickly came up with an alternative and got the ok from me before proceeding. The work was completed quickly and I'm really pleased with the result. Jim cleaned up afterwards and apart from the excellent repair, you'd never know he'd been there!

I recently had various multi-trades work done to my flat such as, installing coving and ceiling rose, adding additional electrical wall sockets, removing and installing a new ducting box for extractors, removing artex on walls and replastering, replacing kitchen unit cornicing, removing an old water tank, and installing shelving in alcoves. I cannot thank Ian and his team enough for organising, managing and carrying out the work which was all done to a high standard. Throughout following initial contact via this webpage, visits to survey and review work to be carried out, arranging timescales, and scheduling tradesmen the whole process was well organised. When the work was being carried out, it was all done in a timely and tidy manner with minimum disruption, and everyone involved was very professional and worked to a high standard. Very impressed with the finished results and would highly recommend to anyone else requiring similar work to be done to their property.

Fitted a new oven and hob for us which was a lot more complicated than it sounds due to the size layout of our fitted kitchen. Gave good advice to overcome various problems and coordinated gas, electric and joinery work. Really good service, special thanks to Ian who went above and beyond to help.

I have used Fixable a couple of times recently. On Sunday evening I emailed re a non flushing toilet. I received an email reply by 8am Monday and a repair was carried before 2pm. It is so hard these days to find a company willing to take on ‘small jobs’. Staff attending were pleasant and professional and the price was reasonable. I would recommend this company.

I had a few small jobs done in my flat including add new shelves to hall cupboard and fixing a couple of doors so they shut properly. I’d previously found it difficult to get someone to do these but it was no problem for fixable. They replied promptly to my emails and came out to quote. They were always on time which is a refreshing change compared to other trades I have used in the past. Nothing was a problem and they completed the work to a high standard. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. They had a good coronavirus policy in place and I felt comfortable having the tradesman in my home.

Areas around bath and sink resealed and outside light bulb (very awkward for me to get to) replaced. Fixable were quick to respond to my initial request. Handy man arrived to do the work at the arranged time and was helpful and polite. Very efficient service all round. Thank you.

Rotary drier installed July 2020. Paul, who did the job arrived promptly and was very diligent and polite. He was also patient whilst I tested putting the drier up and down. He folded up the cardboard packaging. I had ordered the drier online and Fixable were flexible in changing the date as it hadn't arrived on the date we agreed. These details are all noticed and very much appreciated. This is the second time I have used Fixable and would heartily recommend them - no job is too trivial.

Fixable have done a number of jobs that needed doing around my home - all done very reliably and well. Most recently they restored some shutters for me at a very reasonable cost and they look fantastic - all in half a days work - kept clean and tidy along the way. I used Fixable to fit two metal transition bars in the doorways of my flat. They needed to be cut to size and adjusted for height. When finished, they fitted perfectly, the edges were straight and the handyman cleared up after himself. The price was fair and I will be using this company again.

Setting up the appointment was professional and efficient , and they were very accommodating when I had to reschedule at fairly short notice due to a family bereavement. The booking process was easy and friendly and a free quote was arranged. The engineer who came out to complete the work was punctual and very professional. The work was carried out to an extremely high standard. Overall, I’m absolutely delighted with the finished results and will definitely use Fixable again and recommend to others.

Fixable came to do some work on two flats for us, including various odd jobs. They communicated well and the office were prompt in responding to queries. The price paid for the work was reasonable. In one flat I asked for them to diagnose and fix a fault with a shower, unfortunately this was misdiagnosed as an issue with the electric shower and I purchased a new one for them to fit. As this hadn't fixed the issue, they then had to send another of their team out to look at the plumbing, and diagnosed that it was actually just the water pressure and with a twist of a nob fixed it in 30 seconds. This was frustrating as I've paid £100 for a new shower and however much for them to fit it. The other jobs the first employee completed in this flat - including fitting locks to cupboards and a curtain rail - were done well. In the second flat we asked them to install a new oven, which was a slightly different size to the old one, trim some doors and replace broken door handles. The doors were not shaved enough and we had to call them back, and the engineer had also not understood the task we asked him to do in replacing the door handles. They did however send him back out to rectify the work, communicating well in a timely fashion. Unfortunately however, a couple of months later the oven fell out of place. The brackets used to mount it were not secure enough, and the wiring wasn't fixed into the wall properly. It was a poor job. Contacting them to ask for this to be rectified, I was told they could send someone in 3 weeks - which wasn't satisfactory to have a non-operational oven in the middle of our kitchen floor. However, after a further exchange they managed to get someone out within a week which was better. The new tradesman has done a great job and it is much more secure than before. I can't fault how nice all the staff were, but I think it is important for organisations to monitor the quality of the workmanship of all staff and in this instance unfortunately I am out of pocket £100+ for a new shower I didn't need and we have now had to take 2 additional mornings off work to be in for things being rectified.

I've used Fixable a few times for some small jobs around the flat - fixing a cupboard coming off the wall, putting up some shelving, fixing a broken tap - and have been really impressed by their services. They are quick to respond and get the jobs done rather than making you wait ages to hear from them, you having to chase and then get only have a time available that's a way off which has been my experience with other companies. Fixable Ltd fitted some lights for us and removed an old dishwasher and plumbed in the new one. They were a very pleasant company to deal with. On the admin side, they were prompt and clear in all their communications, and very polite. The guys who conducted the work were also very polite, extremely punctual, hardworking, and tidy workers.

5 doors trimmed after flooring work and new skirting boards fitted aswell as kitchen unit kick plates trimmed.

Fixable fitted a cat flap and a new nightlatch to a front door, where a bit of joinery work was needed on the damaged doorframe to enable the backset to be fitted. Communication by email and phone ahead of the job was perfect. A very courteous, friendly joiner arrived on time, completed the job quickly and professionally, and cleaned up nicely afterwards. I’ll call them in the first instance for any other similar jobs.

Great service. I asked for a new door closer to be installed as the door wasnt closing properly. The Fixable guys came out and adjusted the original one so it worked properly. Didnt charge me ! How nice is that.

Delighted by my first experience of dealing with Fixable Ltd. They assessed the work within 2 days of my initial enquiry and then 10 days later carried the work out at a time to suit me. They arrived promptly and were pleasant and courteous to deal with.
All jobs were completed accurately and efficiently and they even tidied up.

I was pleasantly surprised to receive an invoice for less than originally quoted because the job was completed within a shorter timeframe - most refreshing.

Porch painted internally and wooden fence treated. The tradesmen were prompt to arrive , worked steadily and very efficintly and went out of their way way to give good service.

Paul was punctual, super efficient and very personable, both in providing the very reasonable quote and then coming back a few days later to do the work himself. This was a series of small jobs including fixing door catches, patching a skirting board and hanging a heavy mirror; all done perfectly. Highly recommended.

We had our ancient and decrepit bathroom completely refurbished by Fixable to a very high standard. All fixtures and fittings were installed to our spec and the room looks amazing. Work was done quickly by a friendly employee who was happy to offer advice on the decision making process while we figured out what we wanted done. Will book Fixable again for our next project!

I had a very positive experience with this company. It can be a minefield when trying to get reliable workmen or handymen from the internet. I have had my share of them. The guy that came around was very punctual and obviously knowledgeable (and quick). He left the place nice and clean afterwards, which is always a bonus. Highly recommended.

Replacement of 2 shower units. One is more complicated. The other is straight swap. Paul and Ian are very happy to take in my input as to how I wish the isolator to be placed which i am very thankful. Honest and straight to the point. No messing about on quote . Arrangement for dates and time are very good to suit me and most importantly.l, clean and tidy. I have no hesitation of calling them back for more work to be done in the future.

Replace light fitting. Prompt, polite, cordial and efficient service. I've used Fixable to help me with jobs around the home a few times now, and the company is my first 'port of call'. Highly recommended.

I commend Paul, and Fixable, and look forward to working with them again. I needed to have three separated baseboards reattached; an old curtain rod removed and a new curtain rod installed; a bathroom fixture repaired; a rail centre support installed for my closet wardrobe rail; and window draught seals installed in three separate rooms.
