Edinburgh Heating serviced the boiler in my new flat. It is great to know that it is working efficiently and safely. They were very well organised and efficient and took time to explain a bit about my new heating system.

Boiler service, and Cain checked the thermostats on all my radiators.
They are reliable and if they are going to be delayed, they let you know.

Edinburgh heating were recommended to me & were excellent.

Iain came at very short notice as had no heating. He assessed problem, explained clearly & replaced a faulty valve.
He also took time to explain a couple areas where our system could be working more efficiently to help reduce bills & all done with no pressure whatsoever.

Having used Edinburgh Heating once again to carry out our annual boiler service, a small problem was identified which required a new auto air vent to be fitted to prevent leaks. This work was carried out by Iain a couple of weeks after the service, and as usual, performed in an efficient and professional manner. We will continue to use Edinburgh Heating for all servicing and maintenance tasks.

Iain was great, kept me updated and followed the instructions for the appointment. He was friendly and professional, even showing me how the boiler worked and what to do to give it the best life span etc, super helpful and knowledgeable. Very happy.

I had used another company to put in a new mega flow, however the heating did not work so they had to be called again. This person came back and said it would take hours to fix so I thought let’s try some other company and chose Edinburgh Heating and thank god I did . It was sorted in less than an hour by Iain who knows his stuff. I would recommend this company as a 5 star . They know their job and are very nice people too. You will not go wrong with this company and I will certainly use them again when needed. Iain was excellent!

Boiler servicing

Had a boiler service but have used this company before for repairs and they've always done a good job. Boiler service was well managed, quick and Cain the engineer was pleasant and helpful.

I had my boiler serviced, having left it quite late to organise. It was easy to book, the communication was great and I knew exactly when Cain would arrive. I’ll definitely be using them again.

We wouldn’t consider anyone else for our servicing and repair needs because in the past Iain has patiently solved problems which had baffled our previous service company. This year’s service was as thorough and friendly as ever, with very helpful reporting on the various tests. Although there was a non-urgent option to replace something, there was no pressure at all to commission the additional work.

Cain arrived on time and gave the boiler a thorough inspection. I was relieved that they could do the service as October is a busy time of year.

New boiler, new ventilation system, gas upgrade & whole system flow improvement: Our property is old and the design complex; our heating system is tricky and the "new" regulations for ventilation we knew were going to be a challenge. From our first interaction with Iain we had complete confidence that he could do the job and had a vision for what was possible. He and Cain worked tirelessly to solve the complexities they encountered, using their own obvious skill and reaching out to other experts for advice. Cain was a delight to have in our home & despite some very messy work, left his space spotless every day. Boiler annual service for another year. Brilliant service as always

The hot water from my 18 months old combi boiler was intermittent, so I determined that a service might rectify this issue. The engineer who originally installed the boiler did not fulfil the appointments I made with him to do a yearly service, so it was recommended to me that I contact Edinburgh Heating.

Cain, the heating engineer, came on the requested day, and was thoroughly professional, approachable, and he informed me of everything he was doing. Once the service was completed, Cain showed me the boiler working fully, and the hot water was there. He advised me that the head of the flexible tap was probably blocked up, and that that was contributing to low water pressure from the head, and told me how to clean it. I did so, and the water pressure was /is back to normal.

The next morning, the boiler didn't fire up, and showed an error code. I tried pressing re-set button button, to no avail. I then called Edinburgh Heating, and spoke with Iain, the owner. He advised me that he would speak with Cain, and get back to me. Cain arrived at my door, and identified the problem (a small pocket of air that was causing flame to not ignite) and repaired it. All within 10 minutes.

That was 6 days ago, and everything is now working as it should.

If I were allowed to, I'd give 10 stars.

We have used Edinburgh Heating since 2021 when they installed a new vaillant gas boiler and they have serviced it annually. We have been very pleased with them. Communication has been excellent, the work has been carried out efficiently and tidily. They are a family company and show a high level of care towards their customers.

We had a boiler replaced by Edinburgh Heating and just had them back to service it after a year. Excellent service and very friendly. Would absolutely recommend to anyone needing a boiler replacement/repair/service.

We had a fault light on our boiler and no hot water, they came out and diagnosed the problem as a sensor not working which we had them replace. Since then we noticed a small leak on our boiler a week or so later, the guys came back no problem at no further cost, replaced some washers for us and came a further time to check it whilst the washers were settling in causing the tiniest bit of weeping still. The second fault had no obvious relation to the original work done on the sensor but they were more than happy to help and sorted it out. I would use them again with no reservation and would trust them to come back until the job is right without running up huge bills.

Iain installed an intergas boiler and new water tank and nest thermostat several years ago. Kane did the annual service this week. Punctual, clean and tidy worker and explained what he had done. Fair price for the job a very reliable company to deal with.

Had a radiator moved and existing pipe work moved from the skirting and run under the floor. Communication, service and price were fantastic. Worked around other trades too, which made everything easier. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or use again! Thanks!

Boiler service and advice about heating

After our boiler failed we contacted Edinburgh Heating for a quote. Iain came out and gave us a very reasonable quote for a new boiler installation. Luckily due to a cancellation Iain and Cain were able to come and do the work quickly. The work was done quickly and efficiently. They did a great job and gave some great advice on setting up the boiler so it would work efficiently and save us a few quid on the energy bills. I have nothing but praise for the service I received and would highly recommend Edinburgh Heating and will be using three for my boiler servicing from now on.

Fantastic service from Iain, Cain and Heather. Contacted Edinburgh Heating to arrange a quote for a new combi-boiler to be installed. Iain came out within a few days and provided a quote for the work. Once the quote was accepted, Cain was able to start the next day, which was a massive help. Very efficient with texts and emails to arrange time. I received a text 10 or so minutes before arrival before both visits. A huge help…
Fault found with the boiler ( we were aware something was faulty) but boiler was left so we could still use it and part was sourced and fault fixed within a few days.

Iain installed our boiler nearly 12 years ago now and has serviced it ever since. This last job was to repair a faulty pressure relief valve and Iain did it with his usually efficiency. A nice guy to have around too! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others.

At very short notice they installed a new gas combi boiler for my 85 year old mother after she waited more than two weeks for a large national company to repair the old one only to find on the repair date they could not repair it hence the urgent hunt for a competent company to install and then look after a new boiler. The contrast was huge - Iain and Heather were genuinely concerned about the situation and strived to provide an incredibly swift solution (which they did - from first call to installation was 2 days!!). Needed a new boiler for my elderly mum when her heating broke down and called Ian on a Friday afternoon. He was very professional and understanding and visited her the same afternoon. I live some distance away so was acting on my mothers half, Ian provided a full quote very detailed and reasonable that same evening and the work was carried out the next Tuesday. Professional work carried out by Cain and heating back on and working with the new boiler installed. I could not fault this company

Iain came to install a nest thermostat and to service my boiler. The thermostat was installed quickly and efficiently. Iain picked up on a fault in the boiler and returned with the necessary replacement part to replace the faulty sensor and do the service.
Both Iain and Heather ( in the office) were quick to respond to any queries. I found Iain to be pleasant, efficient and knowledgeable. I liked that he explained what he was doing.

Company called out to complete a first service on Ariston gas boiler. It was found that screws were missing on the flue and the central heating system water was filthy, black in colour. Also no filter fitted, I informed the company who had originally fitted the boiler and their engineer came out fitted the screws took a sample of water and said he had seen cleaner.
At this point I decided to ask Edinburgh Heating to flush the system, and fit a filter also a new radiator.
A young plumber arrived (Cain),very polite, professional and sympathetic to my situation, 86 years old. Job complete now and system working perfectly. Thanks so much I will use your company from now on, and wish you had fitted the boiler.
