Phoned for an emergency call out at around 6.30pm due to front door not opening from inside or out, he was round within 15 minutes, and had got in 10 minutes later. Fixed a temporary lock to secure the property, and came back round a few days later to reinstall the lock to what it was previously. A friendly guy and was quick and did exactly what was required.

Recently moved to a new house and mistakenly locked myself out on a Sunday afternoon. Reuben was able to come out to the house within an hour and sort the situation professionally, with a bit of good humour and at a very good price in my view. Highly recommend.

Only took the dog out to the garden but immediately realised I had left the snib on the door. Locked out on a horrible day! Reuben was there within 30 mins and got us back in. Great service, quick and cheerful. Definitely recommend.

We’d just moved into a new house, so wanted the locks changed. When we had a closer look many of the doors had problems and didn’t lock properly. This was down to various problems, which Reuben diagnosed, and was able to fix them all. In particular, the garage door mechanism was shot, the part was no longer produced but Reuben managed to source the part for us. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company. The work was carried out to the highest quality.

Reuben sourced an obsolete part for our back door and repaired it quickly, taking care to make sure the new mechanism was adjusted and was working well despite this being a fiddly task that was made more difficult by the age of our door. I would certainly recommend him.

Patio sliding door fixed. Lost a bolt in the door mechanism. Reuben helped get the door of the hinges and got the bolt out of the bottom of the door by drilling a hole.

Went down to collect my basket of washing from the car (I’m a 3rd floor flat) and realised I made the rookie error of leaving my keys in the kitchen!

With a tattie in the oven and the nearest set of spare keys over an hour away I began to panic!

Called at 16:43, popped out to get fuel for the car and a sandwich from Tesco for fear my tattie would be no more...

Locksmith arrived at 17:09 and by 17:22, I was at my table tucking into my perfectly crispy baked ball of goodness ????????

Reuben has carried out many lock repairs and replacements for me over the last 10 years or so. He knows what he is doing and does it well. He is efficient and reliable and does everything with a smile. Reuben will tell you up front what needs to be done, why and how much it will cost .He doesn't charge extra for the crac but the offer of a coffee is usually welcomed.

Was locked out my flat rather late one night in Musselburgh. Phoned forth locks for their Services - the gentleman Reuben, that turned up was very professional and sorted the situation with relative ease.

More than anything, he didn't treat me like a pain and we actually had a laugh about it all.

excellent service from Edinburgh Forth Locksmith. Locks broke on front door and we had to leave - was with in within 30 mins. Replaced the lock from stock in his van, no damage and cleaned up after. very reasonable cost as well.
