Fantastic experience with Edinburgh Flooring Shop. Mark and the team provided first class advice and service from selection of product, competitive pricing and an exceptional installation service. Our install dates moved a number of times as they were part of a larger refurb project however Mark was able to accommodate short term date changes throughout December to ensure we were in our house in time for Christmas. We would highly recommend them.

They began with expert floor sanding, followed by a meticulous application of a three-layer varnish coating. I was totally astonished by the result of the sanding of my kitchen floor. It had been sanded before a few years ago but not to the same high standard. I couldn’t believe that my battered, scratched old floorboards would come out looking like new! They repaired small cracks, levelled some uneven patches and sanded the boards to a beautiful smooth, even finish and tone. They came punctually, started on Tuesday morning and Wednesday lunchtime I was able to use the kitchen. It was a lot less noisy and dusty than I thought.
I was also very satisfied with the communication, Mark responded very quickly to my queries.

Had a Ted Todd Husk floor installed by Mark and his team. Service was truly excellent. Once installation was arranged, it needed to be shuffled due to other traders needing to delay. Mark was incredibly flexible and, on installation day, I asked if it could be speeded up and another fitter was quickly despatched to the job. The floor is really beautiful. Post-installation care is also exceptional - another trade damaged the floor post-installation and Mark and team fixed this for no extra charge. Mark then called a few weeks later just to ensure that we were happy with the overall job. "Delighted!".

Mark and his team laid engineered wood in my two bedrooms. They were extremely professional, helpful in choosing the right wood, on time, and did a great work without leaving any mess behind. My floors look amazing and I am so pleased. I will certainly use them again, when the floor in the rest of the flat needs replacing.

The team replaced the flooring throughout the whole 4 bed house, added underfloor heating to the kitchen and dining room, painted the whole house, feature walls, skirting, door frames and doors, and some electrical work. Stevie, Scott and Jamie are true professionals. They all did an amazing job.

Edinburgh Flooring replaced rotten joists in my sun room and then replaced the laminate flooring in the sun room and the living room with a wooden floor. I am very pleased with the quality and the finish of the work. I had struggled to find joiners willing to take on the job but Mark and his team was totally unphased by it all. Darren from the Edinburgh Flooring Company mended, sanded and varnished the original pitch pine floors and the newer pine floors in the living rooms and kitchen of our listed property. It has completely transformed the rooms and looks spectacular.

Edinburgh Flooring have installed Ted Todd Oak flooring and skirting in main living room and hall over underfloor heating. The whole process from initial enquiry to final fittings has been trouble-free despite changes and adjustments on my part and the required 'pandemic' delay to installation. Mark did an on-site visit before finalising the contract. The on-site team were skilled, experienced and efficient. They sought clarification of how I wanted the details done - joins to carpet, holes for speaker cables, recessed alcoves/presses/cupboards etc. I am happy that they will be returning to fit flooring/skirting in an upstairs bedroom too. The only reason for a 4 for value for money (rather than 5) is because I find this index difficult to assess. I am entirely happy for the end result.

Two employees, Craig and Sam spent all week working very hard doing the job. As my existing floor had subsidence they ensured that they levelled it with screed before laying it. They also had to shave off part of the bottom of all the doors leading off the area to ensure they operated with ease and they took great care to ensure that the sockets were not compromised . Very happy with the quality of material and workmanship.

This is the second time I have used Edinburgh Flooring and I was very impressed with their professionalism and the care they took.
Darren who did the work clearly took pride in doing a good job, and worked really hard, meaning a big job was done well and within a short time frame. It was a pleasure to see someone with genuine enthusiasm for his work and the benefit for the customer is the high quality of finish from the desire to do things properly.

Recently moved into a tenement flat and the flooring was in dire need of attention. Creaking floorboards, old laminate split at parts, old laminate underneath carpets.

Mark came out to measure and suggest options, he was clear from the start about what type of work would most likely be needed and didn't try to hide any additional work that he thought would need to take place. Everything was costed out on a quote so I could clearly see what I was paying for.

A great selection of different types of flooring in the shop will suit anyone's tastes.

I decided late on that I also wanted new radiators and Mark was able to accommodate installing those before the new flooring along with some electrical work that I wanted.

When work started and the old flooring was taken up there were some problems that appeared, his team was clear on what needed to happen and gave options. Even finding an old fireplace grate behind some old shelving units that they had to deal with.

We are delighted with the new engineered oak floor installed in our hall and livingroom. Scott did an excellent job laying the floor and replacing our skirtings and door surrounds and Stevie did a great job redecorating for us. Both were neat and tidy workers. We were recommended Edinburgh Flooring by a family member and Mark & Ian arranged Lee to come out within a few days. The bedroom floor was sanded and varnished to a very high standard, particularly the skill with which lee infilled gaps with timber. Many companies would just use filled (I am an architect).

A couple of years ago, Edinburgh Flooring Company laid a wonderful wooden floor in my flat. However recently, following a leak in the plumbing underneath, they came promptly to work with my plumber to gain underfloor access for him. When he has finished they then restored the floor and the skirtings to their former glory. There were several different specialists required and they worked to ensure the job was done as efficiently as possible.
The quality of the work was excellent. I would fully recommend the company to anyone wishing to have flooring laid in their premises or home.

Mark helped me chose Kahrs engineered flooring for living room and hall. Work was completed efficiently and on time, just before Christmas. Mark also recommended a company to supply and fit my new front door, made as a replica on the original 1930 wood door. It looks great. I am not generally lucky with tradesmen, so I was so pleased with the attention and good service from this company.

We have had the benefit of flooring being done twice by EFC. They have done the entirety of our downstairs flooring, and our stairs. The service on both occasions was especially prompt and high quality. And, on the second occasion, they were able to fit us in during the busy Christmas season. I would definitely recommend them.

We had new flooring installed in our large extension. My experience of this trader has been exceedingly excellent in all categories. They provided thorough information and advice, were prompt and reliable, and provided outstanding service, and are clearly friendly and hardworking.

We had Khars engineered flooring installed throughout the ground floor of our home. Mark has extensive product knowledge and provided a range of options which enabled us to make an informed decision to satisfy our requirements. Following a recent house move, we were so impressed with the engineered oak floors laid in the public areas that the previous owner was contacted to ascertain the company who had provided and fitted them. As a consequence, both bedrooms have now been treated to the same flooring and we could not be more delighted.
Knowing that the quality and workmanship would be excellent based on the appearance of the existing floors, it was particularly gratifying to find that ordering directly from Mark was both convenient and reassuring. The men laying the floors were most particular and took obvious pride in the finish of their work, which is superb.
And now? We are currently choosing Moduleo stone-effect tiling, to be laid by the Edinburgh Flooring Co - who else - for the kitchen!

I have already commented very positively on this company and the work it has done in laying engineered wood flooring in our flat. This review is purely about customer service. Recently the long radiator in our lounge came off the wall, why it did so I have no idea but there we were stuck with the radiator, slightly off the floor at a very awkward angle, potential leaking and some damage to the floor.

Obviously we called various plumbers but to no avail, they are very busy and it would have been days before they could come in. My wife and I thought about it and knowing Mark's highly customer oriented approach to his clients, we called him. He listened and then responded, 'I have a few names, let me check them out.' He did and came back to us with the contact details for a plumber, (Imran), who was as customer focussed as him. The guy did a great job.

Now, the reason for this review is simple. When there's a contract at stake some companies will be there immediately to respond. Some, not all, then 'forget' you after the work is completed. Mark did not and for that I am grateful. If you use this company for flooring the quality will be exceptional, however, it's the customer care, (even when it's nothing to do with them), that elevates this company to amongst the best I have ever dealt with.

After a frustrating and unsuccessful attempt to buy flooring online decided to shop local and not disappointed. Mark gave good advice on suitable flooring and underfloor heating for our hall and kitchen and provided a prompt quote for the work. Craig who fitted the flooring was prompt and friendly and explained / consulted me on any 'workarounds' needed where there were problems as well as positioning of thermostat for underfloor heating.
