Douglas was excellent , very helpful , knowledgeable and professional in helping my elderly mother sort out a problem with her aerial and get her new TV up and running . Great communication , very happy and would certainly recommend.

There was a problem with the aerial cables which were overhanging our shared 3 storey building. Dougie came up with a very clever solution which neatly held in place the lengthy cable between the aerial and the entry to our flat without compromising the newly laid roofing felt. When I saw he had extended ladders with him I told him about another issue we had which he then went on to fix for me to assist in securing the door to a high level stairwell hatch which tended to swing open when the weather is windy.
I was very happy with the work he did to resolve our problems and would thoroughly recommend him.

Douglas turned up on time and fitted my Ariel to new build house checking all points were good. He then came back later and fitted my tv to the wall and hiding the cables in trunking but NOT the unsightly trunking you buy at hardware shops. Would recommend anytime.

Dougie quickly responded to my inquiry to replace an external TV aerial and gave me an indicative price.
He arrived as scheduled to check requirements and offered what I thought was a competitive price to carry out the work there and then. Once the new aerial was in place he tested the signal strength and made sure all my TV’s that have digital tuners were retuned. Very happy with the outcome and would use Dougie again.

The connection between the TV and the roof aerial developed a fault, so we lost the signal in poor weather. I made contact via Trusted Trader with Mr MacKay who visited promptly, and we came to the conclusion that I needed a new aerial and new coax cable to the connector in the attic. There were signs of corrosion in the attic connector. Unfortunately the weather was atrocious so the job had to wait till the weather improved.
We communicated till there was a better and safer day to be up on the roof. Mr MacKay came as arranged and replaced the aerial and the faulty length of coax.
We now have a good signal - It was a pleasure to have the work done by Mr MacKay.

Had an old Sky dish removed. Very happy with contact throughout. Arrived as promised and completed the job despite access being a bit tricky. Great service.

Accessed the Trusted Trader site for the above and found D S Mackay (TV aerial installation) to be excellent. A very professional attitude and work commitment. Based in Corstorphine and came out on what was a miserable day and completed the job as required. Without being prompted, also wiped his feet every time he re-entered the house - not all workmen do this!

I was very impressed by DS Mackay. My faulty aerial connection was correctly identified and repaired within a short period of time. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

I was seeking an urgent tv repair visit to a bedbound elderly lady who's tv had stopped receiving pictures. She was very dependent on the tv as she was bed bound and had no family to assist getting the tv sorted. She was also unable to let any tradesman in and was dependent on a neighbour to let people in to her flat. This was further complicated as this neighbour had to go to work at 2pm.
I contacted Mr McKay first thing in the morning and he said he'd phone back at 10am to let me know if he could squeeze in a call prior to 2pm. This he did and indicated he would make every effort to get there before 2pm.
He got there in time to enable the neighbour to let him in and he got the picture back on. Getting the tv fixed was a god send and so important to the lady in question.
It would have been very easy for Mr McKay just to say he couldn't do it but this was a 'mercy' mission and it was very much appreciated that he went out of his way to carry out this work.

Doug renewed an outside aerial. Installed a new coaxial point. Supplied and installed a tv bracket. All cables hidden. Very tidy. Great communication and time taken to agree all the detail of the installation. Excellent service.

Required an aerial relocated. I would absolutely recommend this company. With other companies, it was difficult to get them to even quote. However DS Mackay turned up, quoted, and returned on the agreed date to complete the work. No hassle.

We had a new aerial fitted for Freeview by Douglas Mackay today. Very happy with the work done, great advice was given and a careful and thorough job was done by Douglas. The aerial was fitted well and care was taken to route and secure the cables properly. This was run into the property with no sign of cables at all and connected up and tested as working well. Thoroughly recommended trader, fair price charged for the work done and I would recommend Douglas for any aerial or related work.

Dougie replaced our ageing TV aerial and fitted a new cable with no issues whatsoever. The work was to a high standard and the cost was very reasonable. I'd definitely use his services again.
