Compass Roofing Ltd was established by Scott J Miller, Managing Director, in 1989. Based in central Edinburgh, Compass Roofing Ltd are well equipped to service Edinburgh and throughout the central belt. The company has an excellent reputation in both private and commercial sectors, from the smallest roof repair to roofing contracts valuing £250K.
Our roof work is carried out by our team of qualified tradesmen and CITB trained apprentices. All our Operatives hold current CSCS cards relating to their trade.
Scott J Miller Managing Director is responsible for estimating, purchasing, and health and safety, whilst Kenneth F Hunter Contracts Manager and Gary Moir Estimator takes care of insuring all contracts are carried out to our usual high standard. The company recently became qualified installers of Alwitra Single Ply Roofing Membrane. This material comes with a 20 year latent defect guarantee, that gives clients piece of mind. Compass Roofing Ltd pride themselves on their honesty and professionalism and ensure that their clients are provided with information about the work they are paying for. The firm believe that they are now in a very strong position to increase their client base, whilst still being able to provide the excellent service they are renowned for.
All our work can be insured, guaranteed and fully protected by the National Federation of Roofing Contractors Limited.

Slates in the roof over our boiler had broken and shifted allowing water to leak into the boiler blowing the electrics. Compass Roofing came out within 24hrs and were able to fix it within hours of the gas engineer leaving and we had hot water again that night. Brilliant short notice save and for a reasonable price. Top people. Thanks!

Reliable team of guys, they were really friendly and explained clearly what the problem was, and they were happy to do the work too.
Scott from Compass always answered our phone calls and returned to check the work over. Photos were available of before and after. The team also showed me what the previous company has done and how ineffective and poorly executed it had been.
The new gutters look amazing and more importantly now work.

We were pleased with the advice given to us about our roofing needs when the estimate was carried out. The work was arranged very quickly.
The roofers themselves were great to deal with, and hard working.
When we had subsequent issues with our roof after bad weather, the work was again arranged & carried out very quickly.
The office is clearly very good at communicating customer's needs to the roofers. This made us feel like our satisfaction was important to them. we will definitely use them again for our roofing jobs.

Our flat (and the flat beneath us) was in the process of flooding the other night due to the recent heavy rains. In a panic, I called Compass Roofing's 24 hour emergency line - Scott answered the phone on the first ring and he and his team were on the roof (in the dark and pouring rain) shortly after. They managed to sort out the issue (a clogged drain) for us straight away and no doubt helped to prevent some massive damage to our flat. Excellent and reliable service. Thank you.

Came home to find water flooding through the kitchen ceiling. Phoned Compass as we had used them before at another house and they were great. Immediate answer even though after 5 and guided me through how to unblock the drain on the roof myself, saving us time and money, and no doubt saving the kitchen ceiling too. Still offered to come out if we needed him. Super helpful, really friendly, highly recommended.

Compass roofing came to our help when our shop was broken in to. This was the third time we have had attempted break-ins. Scott at compass roofing and his team did an amazing job fixing our front door adding more locks to all external doors and arranging for us to get a fully installed alarm system and he footed the bill for all the cost, so no costs to the charity. Thanks to them we feel more secure. We cannot thank him enough.... I would have no hesitation in recommending Scott and his team, and I too have had work done at my home needing a new extension roof replaced. He is very fair and have a hard working team.

Because of the wet weather an exact date to start repairs could not be given. However i was kept informed and everything was carried out as per the estimate in a timely way.
The workmen were polite, friendly and tidied up when finished.
They were very professional and i would have no hesitation in recommending them to friends and family.

I've used Compass Roofing on two occasions one of which was an emergency where a member of the team came out after 5pm to make temporary repairs. The service is fantastic, helpful, fast and for a fair price - I would definitely recommend Compass!

I contacted Scott after a large amount of water began pouring through my roof and ceiling. He was able to diagnose the problem and gave me a solution to try. He talked me through what to do and how to do it. It was great advice and he was honest enough to tell me to try his advice before calling him out. He knew exactly what he was talking about and I would use his services again.

The team that worked at our house were reliable friendly and hard working.
