Billy fixed our upper grill element in the oven which had broken. We ordered the spare part and he came out the day after we received the part. Very efficient and tidy and even took away the old element. Will definitely keep his number for any future repairs.

I called Billy to arrange a repair of a Bosch washing machine. He gave an estimate of cost over the phone and came next day as arranged. He is clearly very experienced and knows what he is doing. He fitted new carbon brushes to the motor and reground the armature. The machine now works perfectly. He was also careful regarding Covid precautions, e.g. wearing a mask to come through my home. All in all a refreshingly competent and fuss-free service at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Came to repair my dishwasher and was charged £65 for less than 30 minutes where he removed the kickboard, played around with a screwdriver at the bottom of the machine, which he did not even pull out and said he had re-set the overflow fill - didn't know there was such a thing. Machine worked twice after that and has not worked since. I had stated that the programme appeared to be stuck and would not move forward from the initial start up of the motor. Sent him a text to let him know it is still not working and he did say he could come back and see if it was 'repairable' - sorry but no confidence in this company at all and not prepared to through good money after bad.

Having accidentally dropped washing up liquid in Neff dishwasher I received the dreaded E15 code. Found BR on Trusted Trader and rang Billy on a weekend and he came as promised 2 days later. Billy is a pro and a fantastic engineer. He stripped the machine and then spent a long time clearing all the soap from it and I’m pleased to say it is working now.

This was not a particularly easy job, but he persisted and the replacement ring was tested and is working perfectly. He seemed very competent, with many years experience of domestic appliance repair work. I would definitely call him out again if needed, and recommend him to friends and family.

He was courteous and wearing work uniform, and took anti Covid 19 virus precautions, wearing a mask, having used antiseptic gel, and he thoroughly washed his hands before leaving.

Billy uninstalled my old dishwasher, which was hard wired to the electricity and left it outside my property. Once the new dishwasher was delivered outside my property, he came back and installed it. As I was getting the old dishwasher recycled via the company supplying the new dishwasher, it was important to me that Billy took out the old dishwasher before the new one arrived. He agreed times in advance and was very reliable, and he carried out a good job. As this was during the Covid19 lockdown, Billy wore a protective mask and gloves. I would recommend him.

After a lengthy search, without success during this pandemic, to find a domestic appliance specialist to repair our washer-dryer, we discovered Billy Rutherford, BRDomestic Appliance Repair Specialist, in Trusted Traders List we telephoned on 13 April and he came promptly the following day. He was well-prepared and well-equipped in view of the current restrictions and carried out the necessary repairs quickly and efficiently. My Dyson had broken down and was making a weird flapping popping noise.. 2 days later on my way back from a shop on day19 of lockdown I saw Billy’s van in a nearby street... I asked him advice .... he picked up my Dyson 30 mins later from outside my flat and brought it back serviced, parts replaced and repaired by 11am the next morning - prob 24 hours tops From start to finish...

I contacted Billy of BR Domestic Appliances. We discussed on the phone the problem I was having with my washing machine. Billy advised that the most likely problem was to do with the drum bearings. He said that due to the age of the machine (10years) it would not be cost effective to replace these. Also that it would be unlikely he would be able to source replacement ones for my model of machine due to its age. I really appreciated his advice and that he also saved me £35 call out charge. I will certainly recommend and use BR in the future.

Unfortunately this didn’t solve the issue but Billy happily came back on 2 further occasions to try and get the machine working. The dishwasher in my tenanted flat had stopped working so I was looking for a tradesman who could have a look and see if it was worth repairing. I found BR Domestics (Billy) online and liked the reviews so asked him to call my tenants and arrange to have a look at it. He did this and said that the dishwasher was beyond repair (it was over 10 years old).
He advised that I bought one online and got it delivered to the flat and he would fit it and take the old one away. He kept in touch with my tenants and once the new dishwasher was delivered he arranged fitting. There were a few adjustments that he also sorted out with the kitchen units and he did a great job.
He kept me informed of the all the repairs and costs of the job and I would recommend him.

My washing machine wasn't working so phoned Billy from BR Domestic Appliance Repair Specialist on the Wednesday and he arranged to come the next day. He came on time, repaired the machine no problem and tested everything was working properly. Price was as quoted and very reasonable. Billy responded at very short notice for a washing machine repair I needed - he visited 4 hours after I called him (compare the 5 day waiting list via Bosch service centre). He took time on the phone to clarify exactly what my assessment of the problem was and turned up when he said he would (a shame to say, but you cant even take that for granted any more). Billy was polite, business like and very quickly diagnosed the problem. He worked in this kind of role for 30 years or more before setting up his own business, so he has the experience to diagnose and fix quickly. He had my job done in a little more than 1/2 hour and I was more than happy to pay the going rate (which is extremely reasonable by the way), for the work he did. The machine now works perfectly. I cannot recommend Billy highly enough. An easy 5 stars *****

Repair to door catch and oven light on Rangemaster Cooker. Emailed BR Domestic Appliances and received a prompt email back from Billy. This was on a Friday afternoon and Billy was on site on Monday morning. Extremely good and reasonably priced service from a very pleasant chap.
