During covid I ordered Decking Plus from these guy's and due to the timings delivery was up and down due to lock down. However I was kept informed every weeks to the progress of my order. We finally had it confirmed the delivery date and everything went to plan. Everything ordered was there and the guys even helped load it onto the van. During the order I had to contact Judi over in their office and it was a pleasure to deal with someone who took the time to sort my order out. Recently I had one small issue with a split decking board and so contacted Judi to see if she could help. Three days and everything had been sorted and a couple of replacement boards were on there way.
I couldn't have asked for a better service along with excellent communications throughout. If I need anything to do with landscaping these are the people who I will be contacting first.

Age & illness meant my garden had been neglected for some years and was beyond my ability to improve. I had some ideas how I might be able to cope with it and Fraser drew up a plan which suited very well. The job is now complete and I could not be happier with the result. The team of Jamie and Sam were hardworking, pleasant and informative throughout. It is a joy to see some colour in the garden again and know I will be able to maintain it. Thank you all. Redesign of small rear garden with digging out of planting beds and paving. Professional and friendly staff who take pride in their work, ensuring the customer's expectations are achieved. Their own suggestions in design were very helpful, particularly the use of Dutch Pavers, which looks fantastic. We are very happy with the result and would highly recommend.

Highly recommend this company. I had a shed demolished and it's footprint made to look exactly like the established chippings and garden to the left of it.
I was well looked after by Jack and Owen regarding what I wanted done,likely timescale and start date.
Today, even though the weather was very wet, the guys were efficient, tidy, hard-working and friendly.
Mum and I are delighted with the result, she now has a better view of the garden to look at, I can plan for more containers next year.
I will use Armstrong's again to sort out a worn path etc in the front garden.

The 3 week job took 11 weeks. Very disappointed with the supervision of the workers who tried their best but didn’t have the skills or knowledge. Lack of detail and planing in the design. We received a discount as Armstrongs accepted the quality of the work was less than acceptable but that doesn’t make up for all the hassle and inconvenience.

Having had several quotes from landscaping companies we chose Armstrong's after being impressed by Fraser's inate professionalism, attention to detail and his suggested design format. He also invited us to his showroom in order to select materials prior to the work commencing. Owen his project manager was onsite every 2 days to check progress and managed our expectations from beginning to end.
We cannot speak highly enough of Dean and Terry who worked tirelessly throughout to deliver a product they can both be proud of - Great ambassadors for the company!

Complete re design of small rear garden. This involved the removal of 15 mature Leyland Spruce trees , decking (2 areas),a paved patio and a rustic dry stone dyke.
The land was cleared and made solid to complete the laying of 2 areas of porcelain tiling and a raised deck . There’s also a covered area. This will serve as an all weather BBQ area . A2 m high fence was constructed on 2 sides of the garden for privacy.
The work was carried out by the same team from day one. They were a efficient friendly team who were not afraid to volunteer their own suggestions to improve the layout and aesthetic look of the finished garden. We adopted several of their suggestions and they have worked well. We are delighted with our garden and are looking forward to some good weather to enjoy it.
We hope to have them back in the spring for help with planting and a retractable sun shade.
Any snagging issues were dealt with quickly and effectively.
We would have no reservations recommending this company.

Landscaping of medium sized rear garden. This involved removal of large amount of earth and materials to create a two tier garden with steps and retaining walls. Decorative slabs laid on lower level and gravel on upper level.
The job was completed within the projected timescale and communication throughout from Judi, Fraser and Owen was excellent. The guys on site also kept us informed and were receptive to any queries or tweaks to the job. Josh the joiner in particular is worth a mention as he was extremely helpful.
Overall it was a job well done and I would be happy to use the company again.

We had a major back garden project done by Frazer's team. The result is fantastic, executed to a very high standard. Complex work involving lowering the garden level by some feet, adding paving slabs and dry stone walls as well as a water feature. Very happy with the final outcome. Thanks to all the Armstrong team.

Expensive products which they actually damaged/broke on numerous occasional i.e., 6 porcelain slabs broken/chipped on no less than 3 occasions, rust stains left on slabs from tools left in rain, water feature pump broken, gas fire pit broken, cedar fencing damaged, cedar pergola slats poorly fitted with dollops of glue residue left and which collapse when touched. Grouting poorly completed with multiple areas still without grout.

BUSINESS RESPONSE: Thanks for your feedback, we really appreciate this and take all negative feedback very seriously. This job certainly did run over schedule, due to a number of factors including materials issues (broken slabs, waiting on plants etc.), staffing issues (our landscaper working on the job left the business while work was underway) and other factors. Regarding the other issues:
Chipped slabs – some of these were damaged on delivery, other broken on site. We appreciate this must have been frustrating and sincerely apologise for this
Rust stains on slabs – these were fully removed and cleaned, the photo shown was not taken at the time we left site
Gas Fire broken – Again, this was fully repaired and in full working order when we left site
Cedar fencing damaged – This would have been a snag to be repaired and again apologise this happened
Grouting – We were aware there was grouting still to complete around the fire pit
Although this job was left unfinished this was after it was made clear that full payment would not be received for the job, although only a very small amount of work remained on the project.
We do appreciate that your experience was not satisfactory on this occasion and would like to offer an apology for this, as detailed above there was various factors that caused this, all of which we are now aware of and have taken measures to ensure these will not repeat themselves.

Fraser and team are highly, highly recommended. From beginning to end, communication and reassurance has been excellent. Our prior garden experience was admittedly cheaper and it really showed in lack of care or expertise (aka bodge jobs), which left us with quite a sad garden that ended up not being too well used. This is no longer the case. Fraser's helpfulness and willingness is reflected through every member of his team. The head landscaper was thorough and full of suggestions to make the garden work best. He and the other workers were hardworking throughout and considerate of our family routines, and very supportive of odd jobs on the go. We quite enjoyed greeting them every morning. Towards the end, lockdown happened with some small jobs left to do. As per agreements, the bills were already settled and there was every opportunity for Fraser to ignore us. Quite the opposite - he proactively researched ideas for us and looked for opportunities to complete the work for us. The last item was our custom veranda, and his joiner was very receptive to suggestions and questions about the right approach, even during the job. We now have a fantastic play space for the kids, something nice to relax in, and comfort that the work has been made to last. To get something done properly, it's worth getting Fraser on board.

Our paved front garden was becoming disrupted by numerous tree roots making it dangerous and a trip hazard. Frazer attended promptly and on time to provide a reasonable estimate describing the process of relaying our front garden/paved area. This involved the uplifting of ancient enormously heavy flagstones, trimming subterranean tree routes, laying a covering of concrete to form a stable base for relaying a perfectly level safe front approach to our house. This was completed over a 4 day period by a team of men who worked incredibly well together and were supremely efficient. They were commendable in keeping us so well informed as to progress or any minor problems they encountered (which were few indeed). The job took 4 days in total with the team working on the final day for 12 hours solid to complete on time. The quality of their work cannot be faulted. We are enormously impressed by this company and would have no hesitation in consulting them in the future.

I hired Armstrong Gardens & Landscapes to design and install a set of planters with appropriate planting and a compatible irrigation system for my patio. I am more than delighted with the finished result. Throughout the design and installation Fraser and his team were very communitive about the project details and timing and were very happy to incorporate any changes as required. They certainly had the customer’s requirements at heart. The planters installed are of high quality and the planting professionally selected and arranged. In terms of the 11 week completion time, although this doesn’t effect how quickly you had a finished garden, a large portion of this was while we were waiting on materials arriving on site as we had an issue with our supplier. A final point to note, in the feedback you mention lack of detail in the design, although we did provide a basic 2D drawing for you free of charge, we did not design the space and this was not sold as a design and build contract, your husband created the design which we installed.
Again, I would like to apologise for any inconvenience that was caused on this project, we pride ourselves on offering a high quality and efficient service and we did not life up to expectations here, but we have made changes following the completion of your project to ensure this doesn’t happen in the future.
