We are so grateful to Apex for their quick response to water pouring in before Christmas. Although they could not start work until January they made us water tight despite the storms in December and January and completed the works in a timely and efficient manner. Their communication was top notch and we are so pleased to have a watertight flat roof again. We would recommend Apex to anyone needing a trustworthy and reliable roofer. They took pride in their work which is not something we have experienced in the past after being on the receiving end of cowboy roofers over the past 10 years. Apex kept the price keen despite discovering appalling work by the previous Roof Company.

Faced with the fact that the 140 year original roof of our four storey Victorian building was constantly in need of repairs the proprietors of the three flats reached the conclusion that there was a likelihood of major work being required. Three firms were contacted for advice and quotes. Of the three, Apex Contracts stood out as quick to respond, careful to explain what was required and why, and prompt to provide an acceptable quote for the full re-roofing of the building. Andrew, who inspected the roof, gave a very clear explanation of what was needed and how they would carry out the work.

Due to restricted access to the back of the building and a projecting extension, the erection of scaffolding was complex but great care was taken to ensure that it was done with as little disruption as possible. Regular reports on the progress of work were given and Scott responded promptly and effectively to any queries.

The roofers on site were polite and helpful and I cannot speak too highly of the professional approach everyone at Apex showed throughout the contract.

Effective and speedy communication by Scott throughout the work was particularly impressive. Telephone calls were quickly answered and texts, e-mails or voicemail messages received prompt and helpful responses.

Although this was, for us, a major exercise Apex was a pleasure to deal with throughout. Scott and Andrew are to be congratulated on their customer focused approach. I would not hesitate to use Apex again - although with a new roof that, hopefully, will only be for routing maintenance !

I chose Apex Contracts Ltd to complete a flat roof refurbishment on our property after receiving various quotes from a number of Edinburgh based roofing contractors.

I'm so very pleased that I came across Apex Roofing. We had our roof changed out at our property about three years ago. Unfortunately, we have had multiple issues which have led me to using various companies to try and fix the underlying issues mostly to no avail.
I'd become anxious about finding a roofing company that I could trust simply through previous poor experience. I was delighted that when I spoke with the Apex team, I didn't feel that I was being sold too, they simply wanted to hear my story and the issues faced and offer me help and support. They genuinely do care about the customer and completely re-assured me that the work I was needing done could be completed relatively easily and without a delay.
On the day they arrived at my property to complete the work I noted the professional appearance of the workers and of the way the conducted themselves. It was clear that they knew exactly what they had to do. They completed the job over a couple of days while keeping me updated throughout and left the areas clean and tidy.

I contacted Apex roofing due to an emergency roof leak which came into my bathroom. James responded to me very quickly and came out at short notice to inspect the leak. The leak was repaired the next day and James kept me updated throughout the process and provided photos. Their price was excellent too, a very trustworthy company which are hard to find nowadays. I highly recommend Apex roofing and cannot thank James and his team enough for their outstanding service.

Absolutely fantastic service - professional, prompt, attentive and friendly. Needed issue with roof fixed and within 48 hours of contacting, an emergency fix was applied followed by a permanent repair once rain stopped. Could not fault this service. Would highly recommend Apex.

We instructed Apex Roofing to re-render the chimney stack to a tenement building and to fix a leaking gutter. James came out to review the work and provide an estimate when he said he would. The team who undertook the work were very friendly, efficient and professional and we were happy with the finished works. We would have no hesitation using Apex Roofing again and would definitely recommend Apex for roofing services.

We called Apex because a cast iron hopper at the top of one of our drainpipes (three storeys up) had come loose and we were worried it would fall off. James arranged for two of his workers to come round the same day with a cherry picker to carry out the repair. We needed a new section of downpipe, the hopper was re-fitted and all of the gutters cleaned out - all very efficiently done. The workmen on site worked very hard and did a great job. Very impressed and would happily recommend.

Our main house roof required repairs due to storm damage and also required complete replacement of a flat roof section at the apex of the house. In addition, our garden summer house required complete replacement of its roof. We met James and Albert of Apex Roofing. James gave us an estimate of what needed done, with a detailed breakdown of the costs. Their team carried out the work very efficiently and cheerfully. We actually enjoyed having them around, despite the clonking noises above. We were delighted with the standard of the work, the attention to detail and the thoroughness with which they carried it out. The finished product is excellent and we would certainly have them again, although their finished job suggests that this would not be required!

Having read the reviews online, I approached Apex Roofing to replace the flat roof surfaces on our house (including adding insulation) and garage, as well as tidying up loose slates on the rest of the house. Before carrying out the work I was subsequently recommended to use them by a couple of colleagues.

Found them to be excellent to deal with, honest and trustworthy from initial visit to finish and very good at explaining my options and itemising the costs. The price was very competitive too (one of three to have priced the work).

I received regular unprompted updates on progress and they completed a very tidy job. Was happy just to leave them to get on with it.

Would definitely use them again and have already recommended them to friends and colleagues.

Having been let down by several other companies I contacted Apex via their web site. They were very quick to respond and very flexible in terms of accommodating me and my schedule when arranging to carry out the estimate.

The quote was well detailed (but not excessively so as some companies do) and the price fair.

The work was carried out to a high standard within a short time and both during and after the work the site was left immaculate a credit to Apex and to their scaffolding sub-contractor.

Apex provided us with both emergency roof repairs (massive leak through ceiling) and then, when the weather improved, longer term measures to protect the roof properly. They did so in a timely and helpful way, and I would not hesitate to use again, or recommend.

I've used Apex Roofing for 2 separate pieces of flat roof (felt on timber) repair work at the time of writing, and they have provided a very professional service from start to finish. Despite being about 3 years apart, James arrived for the inspection of the roof on the second occasion with details remembered about our hatch work from the previous occasion. A small touch that makes for a more personal experience. He also managed to make it out on a weekend both times for the inspection, which made the process so much easier for me. Would thoroughly recommend Apex to anyone looking for roof repair work to be conducted!

When you decide to make such a big investment you want the best quality work for the best price and though APEX weren't the cheapest quote we got, I know we absolutely made the right choice. I understand you want to get the best deal. me too. Here's the truth, you get what you pay for. APEX are competitive and not much more than the other guys.

We got quotes from a few different roofing companies and after you talk with a few people you know who you don’t want at your house. James came out and knew just what we were looking for, he saw the mistakes that were made before and told us how they would correct them. He made us feel comfortable with him, the company and his roofing knowledge.

We got top quality workmanship. The crew was on time, they were courteous, very hard working and they cleaned up at the end of each work day. They were responsive every step of the way. We have a beautiful new water tight roof and we couldn’t be more pleased. Who knew coming home to a new roof could make someone so happy!

The work carried out was rather complex and involved a number of owners. apex showed a tremendous amount of patience as they had to deal with all the owners separately as well as as a group. The work carried out was satisfactory although timescales did not always run as expected.

I had this organisation to attend to a leak I was experiencing; this was during the Easter weekend when I had family due to visit, therefore I explained my urgency to have the remedial work carried out ASAP. As such they renewed a section of the roof the same day and I have experienced no further issues. I didn't seek costs from other contractors as the price I was charged seemed reasonable given the work required. Would be happy to use them again.

I got this company in to put a new roof on an extension I had built and they also carried out new sandstone cill and lintel replacements through a division of their firm. Overall, very happy with the contract and found both the management and tradespeople on site to be very helpful, professional and courteous. I would not hesitate to recommend them.
