I contacted this company for a quote to have stair-lighting repaired/replaced in our tenement stairwell and Dave from AEF responded promptly with a very reasonable quote. Within 48hrs of confirming that we wanted to proceed, an appointment was arranged, Jonny the electrician turned up on time, replaced all our lights and the timer clock within a couple of hours, and tidied up after himself. A very professional service! Would highly recommend.

AEF Electrical carried out an EICR estimate and subsequently completed all of the required and / or recommended work in January 2023. The company responded to all my questions and completed the work on time and to a high standard. They were professional and polite throughout the process. I will be using their services again for further work.

I had a power outage involving my entire kitchen, my boiler and the socket for my router. Ruairidh arrived punctually after a heavy day's work and put it right very swiftly. I am 82 and no longer climb ladders. I greatly appreciated the very professional, swift and tidy way he worked.

AEF has undertaken work in my flat twice now and on both occasions the results have exceeded my expectations. They were brilliant. From booking to visit, the team are friendly and professional, the work is of first class quality and finish, and there was no disruption at all. 3 visit to replace wiring and lights etc with new sockets exactly where I need them! And all tidied up at end of day . I’m really pleased. Can safely not only use the sockets but can see where they are. I would be happy to use this company again

The work was done within 48 hours of me calling despite it being days before Xmas. The electrician was very respectful of my flat…didn’t park his van in any of the neighbours private spaces as I’ve experienced before and wore covers over his shoes.
The bathroom fan was fitted within an hour and was done very professionally by Ruairidh.

AEF have done a number of jobs for me. Small: installing an electric hob, installing a central pendant light in an upper landing. Large and difficult jobs including: moving my electrical fuse boxes from one room to another (they did this 3 years ago, and it has been faultless); installing all new wiring in a conversion and extension; and returning to supply and fit the sockets/switches/lights/electric radiators.

We had our lights upgraded and a few other thins fixed too.

Great, friendly service and we would definitely use again for all our electrical work.

I contacted AEF for some electrical fixes including a new pendant lamp fixing, smoke/heat detectors and lighting not working.

After moving into a new place, I had the wiring checked, and repair work done based on the check. Dave was absolutely fantastic - prompt, reliable, conscientious, and considerate. I never got the sense that he was trying to get me to agree to work that was unnecessary, and he was able to accommodate some last minute additional requests (like wiring an HDMI cable between rooms) with no fuss at all. If only all traders were as good as this!
