We engaged Joinery and Gardens Dubar to refurbish our wooden stairs to the garden, create a decking area and add raised beds and seating.

From the initial contact Kevin has been professional, reliable, knowledgeable and respectful. The project required access and work on neighbours' property. He met with and put our neighbours at ease ensuring any concerns were addressed. The project was complex and Kevin found solutions leading to a detailed plan agreed with everyone concerned.

All work was completed to a high standard, on time and budget. We had some structural issues (outside the scope of this work) regarding the stairs which meant that Kevin could not complete that at the time. He liaised with our structural engineer and will be back to complete works once we resolve those.

Our decking, raised beds and seating are exactly what we asked for and look great. Kevin is most definitely a craftsman and takes pride in his work. His knowledge and expertise are evident in the quality of his work. He is reliable, professional, respectful, a real pleasure to work with and I trust his word and judgement. Kevin put in a new garden fence for us. We are delighted with all aspects of the job, great workmanship and customer service. I cannot praise him highly enough.

I needed work done on a trellis in the garden and also a fence. He was totally reliable, kept in touch to let me know when he was going to do the work and did a first rate job.

We had a raised bed which had been installed only about three years ago, but evidently not well done, as it was pushing the garden fence over. Kevin replaced this with two separate, self-standing beds which are both robust and aesthetically pleasing, and righted and reinforced the fence. The work was meticulously planned and executed.

Kevin is friendly, polite and works hard and continuously. He did not use any of the facilities of the house for all the time he was there. I would never attempt any such work myself in the future and simply call Kevin.

I would recommend Kevin without any hesitation.
The main job was to replace the outer and older slats of a double slatted fence. The new ones are higher ; Kevin also removed a small fence down the side of my house replacing it with a higher double slatted fence to hide my bins etc. To complete this he made a new gate with a wee pergola on top.
In addition, Kevin built a raised bed for me with sleepers.
Communication from the initial query through to completion of works was excellent. Kevin is reliable and an extremely hard worker. He starts early and works solidly whatever the weather ! He is a true craftsman, he takes pride in his work. Kevin listens to what you want and if there are ways to be more cost effective, he will advise you but he does not cut corners and he keeps to your requests.

Kevin built our decking and from a rough sketch that we drew and several discussions he designed and built our gazebo. We needed a large, tricky and awkward outside gate to be built and fitted. We contacted Kevin and arranged a visit - he assessed the problem, suggested the way to design the gate to work for us, and sent us a quote. At the rear of our property we have had the garden raised & levelled, decking installed, synthetic grass laid - all wheelchair accessible, raised planter, really pleased with edging.
After a while we started work on the front of the house and asked Kevin to build a bespoke 2 tier planter along the entire side of our garden fence;he suggested a couple of changes which made it even better. we also had a ranch fence built around our garden, which is slightly curved - didn't hold out much hope for the shape but the wood has curved beautifully - Kevin even put a kickplate along the bottom, finishing off the look completely.

Job- Additional Decking. From first contact to job completion, very satisfied. Communication great, very reliable and prompt. We wanted some additional decking to add to existing decking.
