Aberdeen Trusted Trader

Please beware that the scheme is in a soft launch status while we process potential applicants to join the scheme. Once we have enough members covering the normal home improvement trades sector, Aberdeen City Council will be actively promoting the scheme to local residents and consumers.

For now, if you are a local business that would like to be showcased to Aberdeen residents, or you are aware of a small business who you think would benefit from Trusted Trader membership and have a minimum of six months clean trading history, then please direct them to our online application form.

The Aberdeen Trusted Trader scheme is a local business partnership scheme aimed at increasing consumer confidence, promoting good practice within local business, and helping protect citizens from doorstep crime.

Trading Standards Trusted Traders have been vetted by Aberdeen Trading Standards and the scheme is supported by Police Scotland and consumeradvice.scot

All Trusted Traders have agreed to trade fairly and sign-up to a Code of Practice.
The Code covers:
  • transparent procedures for quoting and carrying out work
  • only charging a fair and reasonable price
  • dealing with complaints promptly
You can search for Trusted Traders on this website as well as view feedback and comments left by previous customers.

Help support the scheme by reviewing any Trusted Traders you have used.

If you would like to become an Aberdeen Trusted Trader and have a minimum of six months trading clean history, then fill in the online application form.
