I moved into a refurbed Victorian apartment where all the original shutters had been removed. I opted for solid shutters in keeping with the age of the building. I am delighted with the result, the shutters look great and unlike the original will not need to be painted every 2-3years.
I cannot recommend the Edinburgh Shutter Co high enough. The service is excellent, Craig and the staff are brilliant and very skilled at what they do. The joiner Stevie is a true craftsman and takes pride in all that he does. Nothing is too much trouble, their aim is to ensure 100% customer satisfaction and that is exactly what they achieved.

The guys at Edinburgh Shutter Company were great, thoroughly professional and great standard of work. They tidied up very well after themselves and made a great job of fitting my shutters. They look fab and I’m very happy with them.

After our wooden Venetian blinds were showing signs of wear and tear we decided to look at replacement shutters. On the recommendation from a friend, we looked at The Edinburgh Shutter Company.
The product on show in the Leith showroom highlights the quality of the materials and the advice given with regards to colours/slat width etc was helpful.
Aggie and Stevie turned up on time and installed our new shutters with no fuss and no mess, they were both very friendly, cheerful and helpful.

This is the second time I have used The Edinburgh Shutter Co. I needed a third blind for my kitchen and was delighted with the service. It was quoted, measured and fitted all within a couple of weeks (would have been less however we were on holiday). The receptionist is always helpful when calling about my order and Stevie fitted it within minutes and it was perfect. Thank you again for the wonderful service. Would not hesitate to recommend this company.

From the minute I walked into the shop wilma was there to greet me and was super helpful. We then made an appointment with Craig the owner and he was amazing. Very knowledgable, offered us great advice and wasn’t pushy in the slightest. We could tell he really understood exactly what we were after and was able to talk us through the ranges of shutters.
They took about 8 weeks to arrive and the morning of installation Craig and Stevie arrived at 9.30am and finished at 12.45. They were professional, polite and very clean. After they had installed the shutters in all of our rooms, I was then given an aftercare tutorial and a demonstration of how they all work and how to clean them etc.
I would like to thank Craig, Wilma and Stevie for their fabulous shutters and excellent customer service. They are expensive, however in my opinion absolutely worth it. We will never have to replace them, they are stylish and will have added value to our new flat.

Professional service from start to finish. Fitter made contact the night before to tell me what time they’d arrive the following day. Arrived on time, all wearing company t-shirts, all introduced themselves and got to work straight away. Made me aware of any issues they encountered with the fittings , and suggested resolutions.
Provided dust sheets, took shoes off without me even asking, tidied up any mess they created.

Room shutters made to give more privacy - standard window and a hexagonal shaped side window which no curtain or blind would cover properly. Stevie the fitter did a great job and the end product was exactly what we wanted. Very tidy and clean worker, and obviously knew his job. Would certainly recommend.

I am pleased with the quality, fit, look of the shutters. Even at this time of year when there is a lot of light they do a good job of shutting it out. The fitting was well done and the shutters open and close with ease.

They listened to what I wanted and did not try to push more product than needed. Much time was spent choosing the right colour and style.

Unusually for fitters, they made every attempt not to be disruptive. The fitters were courteous, efficient and meticulous about cleaning up after themselves.

Had wooden shutters designed and fitted for a large bay window (bedroom) and sash window (bathroom). Service, fitting, quality, performance all exemplary. Got quotes from three companies in Edinburgh - these guys were considerably less expensive and much more attentive than any of the others. I cannot imagine why anyone would not use these guys. Great chat during install, and a £350 EGG discount to boot! Rarely is a home improvement experience such a joy. Thanks to the top team at the Edinburgh Shutter Company. Wonderful.

Edinburgh shutter co. Provided and installed shutters for all our front windows. They look brilliant, we’re very happy.
Craig was great at the initial visit, and as we had new windows and no coverings offered complimentary temporary blinds, including for the rooms that weren’t being done, which was a really nice touch.
We did have to chase them for the blinds and had a wait of 3 + weeks. And unfortunately when we got them the ones for the extra rooms were missing, and this was never addressed, despite phone calls. Hence the 3 stars for reliability.

Having said all that, the actual shutter service was spot on. Stevie and Aggie were excellent, both when installing blinds and latter the shutters. They were extremely careful with floors/walls and other surfaces, very friendly and professional, and Aggie stayed behind to make doubly sure everything was as it should be. Brilliant service there. So would still recommend, as that was what we were really paying for.

The Edinburgh Shutter Company provided and fitted plantation shutters for a large sliding patio door in my kitchen. The end result is stunning. All parts of the process from advice, to surveying/measuring, ordering and fitting were simple and straightforward. All members of staff I came into contact with - receptionist, surveyor and fitters - were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Their understanding of their product and of its impact were particularly valuable in choosing the right shutters. The lead-in time from ordering to fitting is quite long (10-12 weeks), but that was made clear at the beginning and there were no delays. Fitting was fast, efficient and professional - thanks to Aggie and Stevie for your great work. Plantation shutters are not a cheap option, but the Edinburgh Shutter Company offered good value for money and if/when I consider more shutters, I will certainly be going back. Many thanks from a very satisfied customer.

I cannot speak highly enough for this company - so easy to deal with from beginning to end. Anyone that I spoke to (in person or by phone) was helpful, knowledgeable and knew their stuff! I have purchased 3 shutters for my house and love them! Can’t wait to get them fitted throughout my entire home!

Supply and fit of four shutters. Initial visit to showroom was very welcoming, appointment arranged with Craig who promptly arrived on time and confirmed 8-10 week for supply and fit. Fitting took place 18 October however bedroom shutter was put in place regardless of the fact that it was the wrong one and didn't fit properly either also kitchen shutter had no surround mouldings attached and these had in fact been agreed with Craig at initial meeting and measuring, when both issues where pointed out to Stevie he did not seem concerned but confirmed that this would be recitified and that correct shutter would be airfreighted within three weeks this never happened however 7 weeks later call to confirm shutter had arrived however due to festive period, there was very limited availability with an agreeable date however 7 January 2019 was the first date agreeable by both parties but bearing in mind that my original order was placed end of July 2018 the 8-10 weeks has never been achievable from day one. I have to express my gratitude to Aggie who resolved the issues and carried out a first class job with my kitchen shutter. Edinburgh Shutter Company would benefit from more people like Aggie on your payroll who do take care and pride in their work.

after visiting a major department store where we could only get information if a salesman came to the house we went to the Edinburgh Shutter Company. We were greeted by Craig who wxplained about the shutters without us being pushed in any direction. He was informative and answered questions honestly. Craig came out promptly to give an estimate for windows.We were also interested in one for a patio door.There was a technical issue with this so Stevie came out to do a survey and spent time talking over all the options.We ordered them and were told to expect them in October.They arrived into the showroom in October and were fitted within a few days.Stevie,Aggi and Henry the hoover arrived on time.The fitting was carried out efficiently and professionally .They left the room very clean and tidy.We are delighted with the shutters and would definitely recommend Edinburgh Shutter Company.

We are delighted with our shutters - they look fantastic and the service from Stevie and especially Agneska who installed them this morning was efficient and courteous. The reason for not being a full 5 star review was that the delivery and installation was about a month later than the date given and while we now know the reason for this we felt that communication re the progress of our order was poor. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company but feel they need to let clients know that there will be a fairly long wait between ordering and installation. But super job now it has actually happened.

Great service from start to finish. The team of joiners ( male and female) were extremely trusting and very friendly. Only one down side slight delay on waiting for the shutters, was explained why and it was acceptable. Full recommend this company especially Norma who works in office, who nip in to my house to see the finishing for herself and joined in on my excitement. Very good service, product and value from Edinburgh Shutter Company. Great customer service too - had very slight issue with one shutter after fitting and upon reporting they were out pronto to fix. Really good team and very pleasant to deal with.

I am so delighted with these shutters. They have smartened up my home and made me love it again.Had been thinking about doing this for a few years and decided to go ahead doing just one room to see what the end result would be. I am now having them put in the rest of my windows. The work was done by two of the loveliest people. Very efficient and pride in their work.Methodical and tidy. Very respectful and friendly. Shutters arrived within timescales advised and the fitters, Stevie and Agnieszka carried out an excellent job in fitting the shutters leaving no mess whatsoever having tidied up where they had been working.
