Patrick did a clean, efficient and professional chimney sweep for me. His communication was good and he turned up on time. He identified that the wrong cowl had been on the chimney. When he came back to fit the new one, he noticed several tiles missing that he is coming back to replace. I liked that he took photos of the work that he had done and the missing tiles. Reliable and reasonably priced.

On this occasion, Roof Fix Services carried out repairs to overflowing guttering. They carried out an initial inspection and then returned a few days later to carry out the work. Communication has been great, the service has been very reliable, and the repairs meant that the guttering can now cope with heavy rain.

Roof Fix cleaned my chimney for my multi fuel stove. It was very easy to make an appointment on their website, and Patrick was there promptly the following week. Patrick was very thorough and gave advice about a small issue he had noticed and cleaned up after the work. Roof Fix Services came quickly, surveyed the work thoroughly and provided a detailed description of what was required, including photos so that I could see exactly what the problems were. I thought the quote was reasonable. The work has now been completed satisfactorily and on time.

Fabulous that you remind me that I need a roof check and Patrick always arrives on time and on the specified day. Area on the ground is clean from leaves/dirt from the gutters ie no mess has been left.
Also on the plus side is that if the quote is x amount for work that is to be done but on the day is unnecessary, then the invoice reflects less than x ie payment required will be less than the quoted amount.

Work carried out to unblock overflowing gutter; seal leaking downpipe sections; clean gutters, fascias and soffits. The "urgent" job - the overflowing gutter was attended to within 24 hours of first contact. This trader provided a clear and detailed quotation promptly and came to do the work at the agreed time. He kept in touch by email and telephone. I would use him again and have no hesitation in recommending him.

We engaged this company to sweep our chimney (coal fire) and to replace the cowl. The works were done speedily and with no mess. Roof fix services were engaged to fit plastic dry verge units to a section of roof verge. Instead of fitting the verge units with the top face of the units flush with the tiles they fitted the units incorrectly leaving large gaps between the units and the tiles (see photo), totally compromising any weatherproofing. I personally have difficulty believing that they had any previous experience in doing this type of work and I had to have them come back to remove the units before I had them refitted correctly by another company.
My advice to anyone considering using this company for any particular work would be to get a reference from someone who has had them do that type of work before.

Unfortunately at the time I attended the job the materials ordered did not fit correctly, I did however try to fit them as a temporary measure until I was able to order and fit the correct size of verge units. As there was a two-week delay in receiving the correct units I can understand the customers' frustration. Given the opportunity I would have returned and fitted the correct units at no extra cost to the customer and completed the job to my usual high standards.
In retrospect I should have communicated the issue more clearly to the customer and will ensure that this situation does not occur in the future.
I recognise that on this occasion I failed to meet the high standards of work that my customers expect.
