Loft Boarding Scotland helps hundreds of homeowners each year increase available storage space in their home by:

The traditional method of placing boards directly on joists or building up the joists is not suitable for new build homes. We specialise in LoftZone - the ONLY raised storage flooring product currently available independently approved by the BBA. It does not affect your NHBC new home warranty. Installations usually take only 1 day, or 2 days for the largest installations.

This compact Concertina ladder was fitted to gain access to the roof in a traditional tenement close in Edinburgh city centre today. Until now, they only had a shaky step ladder to reach the 3.4m (12ft) high opening.
We replaced a difficult to operate Ramsay ladder with a beautifully-designed concertina ladder and our customers were delighted with how easy it is to use.
We installed this Fakro LST Concertina ladder in an existing hatch opening in a house in Kirkcaldy this week. The opening was wider than can be found in most new builds, but not long enough for a wooden ladder. The wide range of sizes available from Fakro meant we were able to choose a ladder which made full use of the space available. The heavy duty springs make opening and closing the ladder a breeze.

I had half my loft space floored, lighting put in and loft ladders fitted. From the girls I spoke to on the phone to the guys who did the work, the service was excellent. They left my carpets cleaner than when they arrived. Would not hesitate to recommend them.

From the lovely friendly and helpful office staff to the amazing tradesmen who completed the work I just cannot find fault. Please use these guys as I can assure you that you won’t be disappointed. Absolutely first class experience from a superb company: with excellent communication by the office team and a very thorough survey and outstanding workmanship by the team on the ground, Loft Boarding Scotland went above and beyond and did a fantastic job. Our loft was not the easiest one to work with but the team dealt with it expertly and patiently. We had our loft fully floored with a custom made hatch and aluminium ladder installed along with LED lighting. I had my attic floored with added shelving and a new hatch with telescopic ladders.
From first contact via email everyone was very helpful and friendly, everything was done to suit me from the survey and when I was able to be off for when the work was being done, nothing was a problem.
The job took 2 and a half days and the workmen were very nice and cleaned up everyday when they left and took all the rubbish away at the end of job.
Excellent service from the whole team.

Specialist loft flooring (meets regulations for flooring above the level of insulation installed into new-build houses). This company has it all - hugely professional service, both at the installation and customer service ends; work completed very competently and quickly, no mess whatsoever, and good value for money. Installed ~30m^2 of loft flooring, 2 LED lights and a ladder in our new build home. Communication right from the start has been fantastic especially during a challenging pandemic. The guys were great - they were polite, friendly, professional, and respectful. The job was done cleanly and to a high standard. The cost was more than what a competitor had offered but in the end we feel that the experience, quality of work, level of service, and peace of mind was worth the cost.

The ladder we had chosen without actually seeing it was not what we had expected and the flooring was Short, we contacted the company and they were all very helpful keeping us informed and coming to discuss the problem we didn’t wait long and the job is now complete and we are really pleased, Gael in the office was great at keeping us informed and the joiners have done a great job and were very pleasant professional and tidy at both visits x

Having the loft boarded, extra insulation and a new hatch with pull down ladder.
Found loft boarding scotland in an online search, thought the website was very easy to use. Up front about the broad cost of the flooring/boarding system and very easy to book an appointment. Quote was clear and set out and very easy for us to remove items we decided we didn't need (like an extra light).
Work took less than a day and they were nice and tidy. But of damage caused by making the hatch bigger was resolved by a plasterer coming out 2 days later, no hassle at all. There was a call to check we were happy with everything before the invoice was even sent. More expensive than trying to floor the loft yourself, but excellently done and a much better job.

I recently had my whole loft boarded, and i am chuffed with the job that the team have done. My job was slightly delayed because of the current situation, but as soon as the green light was given to start work again, i was booked in and given a choice of dates. Communication from the team was fab, and they were quick and efficient in their 2 day job. Everyone I met (from organising my quote to the demo of my new ladder) was super friendly/approachable. Im really pleased with the fab job that they've all done, and I really appreciate it!

Andrew and his team provided an excellent service every time they contacted us in the weeks before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. They were friendly and professional in everything they did. The order was for an electric loft ladder for my Mum, who lives alone and is in her 80´s. The team were great, following all social distancing and other COVID-19 requirements. They also kept both my Mum and I fully informed and updated on the job progress each day so we knew what to expect. Ordered loft flooring 3.6mx3.6m which was completed on the phone very efficiently. I was given an exact date and time for installation. I was notified the day before of the Installation teams names and time of arrival. They were very efficient and cleaned up after the job. The electrician then came and fitted the loft light. Again they were very efficient. I am very happy with the work done and the price I paid. I would recommend this company.

Had the loft partially boarded on a new home, with lighting, a new ladder, and custom hatch installed and an old water tank removed. It was money well spent for the increase in usable storage space. Andrew was helpful and informative at the initial consultation and Stuart and Ryan did a great job on the installation, including cutting me a hatch over the junction box and recommending a custom loft hatch so I could maintain the size of the existing opening. They cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. They were very careful during the hatch installation, which was done recently with distancing in place.

We had our attic floored and from the estimate through to the finished flooring the service provided was excellent. Everyone involved took great care and pride in their work , they made sure everything was neat and tidy once the work was complete.

We moved into a new house just before Christmas 2018. I asked for a quote to lay loft flooring above my highly insulated ceiling. The guy arrived to quote a couple of days later, really good communication and a fantastic quoting system that allows you to upgrade and add the various items I discussed or upgrade to better loft ladders etc. Work was done quickly and neatly by a really nice tradesman two days before Christmas. Can’t ask for more, excellent service.

We had our whole loft floored and pull down ladder installed along with two LED strip lights including an easy to reach switch. The service was excellent and all done in half a day. From 1st contact with the owner Andrew then the fitting team we knew we were getting a great service. Would highly recommend Loft Boarding Scotland and definitely use them again.
