Firstly, it's very easy to contact JDS by phone and they are very, very helpful. My job was quite small - a small tree needed straightened and properly supported. I've had a few gardeners try to do it and fail. So I needed tree experts. JDS sent Liam and Louis who straightened the tree and put a rabbit-, fox- and badger-proof fence round it.
There is a minimum call-out charge, so the guys continued working for the time that was paid for. There were several jobs I got them to do - like pruning, and clearing flower beds and then putting a layer of mulch on them
The garden looks great.
And all this was done on a very wet day - with not a word of complaint.
I could not be more pleased with my dealings with JDS. A really professional local company.

My garden fence, which was blown down during the storms of January 2024, was replaced by JDS. From first contact agreeing to the quote, the job was done impressively quickly. The two guys who carried out the work were lovely - polite, efficient and hard working. They tidied up afterwards too. I am a bit unsure of the gate, which I wanted to be double sided. However, when it was explained this would make the gate very heavy, it would drop over time and make unlocking/locking it difficult, I took the advice to have it only single sided. It means I can see through the gate, whereas I would much prefer if the slats had been close together without spaces. However, apart from that, I am very happy with the finished Job.

Our fence blew down in the storm. From the initial enquiry through to the completion of the job the service was speedy and efficient. The workmen worked hard in terrible weather conditions and completed the new fence in one day. We are delighted with our new fence and would not hesitate to recommend this company.

Due to storm damage I required three new posts for my fence.
I provide photos of the damage and after a few more questions received a quotation and a date for the work to be completed.
JDS Gardening Ltd sent information on who was coming to do the repair.
Rhys arrived on time. He was courteous, professional and confirmed with me the repair required. After completion Rhys and I inspected the fence which was repaired to a high standard plus the area was left tidy.
Totally happy with JDS Gardening Ltd and would highly recommend them.

I found everyone that I dealt with to be professional, very hardworking, friendly and obliging. They arrived promptly both mornings and despite torrential rain the first day they worked right through. Once the job was finished I asked them to come back and sort something out for me which they did quickly and without question.
I was very happy with the work they did and the manner in which they carried it out. I was kept informed throughout the whole process. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone needing garden work done.

I liked everything about this firm. From the quotation request visit, the keeping me informed of date for job to be done, the office staff and the way the job was carried out, was first class. I was very impressed with the work ethic of the two operatives who did my job as they checked with me at various points during the work, worked very efficiently, were most courteous and did a great cleaning up at the end of the job. We had our back fence renewed, the old fence had been up for 28 years!! It was agreed that the work could be completed when we were on holiday for a few days. I received confirmation that the guys would be there about 8.30am and I received a note at 16.05 to say that the job was completed. When we got home apart from the great looking fence you would not have known that anybody had been in our garden. Great job and I would definitely recommend JDS Gardening.
