I’ve been using Andrew to keep my large hedge under control for many years and every year it’s been done to a high quality, on time and everything cleaned up afterwards. I’d highly recommend Heartwood for any gardening work required.

We had a large cherry blossom tree in our garden which had outgrown its space and was causing damage. Andrew and his team from HTC felled the tree in confined conditions, due to its position in a rear communal garden surrounded by tenement flats.
Andrew attended and surveyed the location and tree to plan the necessary work, then submitted an application to Edinburgh Council, and provided a quote and provisional timescale for the work.
The council agreed and HTC attended on the agreed dates.
Throughout the felling, Andrew and his team were punctual, hardworking, friendly and considerate to us, and to all of our neighbours. They were open to our requests and gave thorough explanations at every step of the process. The felling went to plan, and within the agreed timescale. The team cleaned up thoroughly and took great care to avoid any damage, to the garden and adjacent buildings.

Andrew and his team arrived promptly, notified me they were there and then got stuck right in with the jobs. They worked quickly, efficiently and expertly over the 2 days and were even able to accommodate a last minute, but not insignificant, addition to the quoted work. At the end of each day they left the area tidy. They were not the easiest trees to climb and work on but it is obvious that this is a team who work well together to provide a first class service and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who asked and even those that didn't!
You won't be disappointed using this company, I just wish they did gardening and landscaping too.

Andrew and his team did a great job today, they were here to trim some branches but at short notice they managed to fell a large ash tree as well. All waste was removed from site and garden was left immaculate. Will definitely use them again.

Contacted Heartwood Tree Care to remove a dead tree in my garden. Good communication throughout the process, they arrived as expected. They completed the work required in a timely fashion, they were respectful of my property- and left the garden tidy once the work was completed. They kindly removed all the dead wood after the work was complete.
Have no hesitation in recommending this company and I will use again if necessary.

They are professional tree surgeons and will shape your trees and shrubs to the extend that you won’t even see where they’ve been cut back. They take pride in their work, adhere to strict safety procedures, are fast, friendly and tidy. My garden was tidier, after they’d been to prune 4 mature trees and a large hedge, than it was before. Any bloke with a chainsaw can hack back a hedge and trees but use this company if you want someone to actually take care of your garden. Price was competitive and they will also deal with 86 year old relatives, trying to “help”, with gentle humour and a steer back indoors.

I’ve used Heartwood Tree Care Ltd twice now for maintenance and larger work on my garden trees and hedges. Andrew is prompt to reply to emails/enquires and came round and gave a competitive, very reasonable quote. He even gave a verbal quote to my neighbours at the same time, and we were all able to combine the work for him into a single day which was great for us all. Andrew gave me good advice for the management of an overgrown hedge. He and his team are friendly and reliable, and their work is of a high standard. They cleared away all the debris and garden waste. Would recommend and will be calling HTC again.
