This company were able to provide secondary glazing to our trapezoidal prism shaped stained glass cupola which is located in the ceiling of our upper hall.
When standing on the stairs and looking up at it, the secondary glazing is very much hidden. As well as protecting the cupola it has made a marked difference on ensuring warm air remains in our house.
Cocoon also added secondary glazing to the stained glass on and around the front door. Our original wooden door had dropped over the years due to settlement and was considerably draughty. Cocoon fixed this and now we have no draughts.
I would highly recommend this company as a result of the positive impact of their products and their very helpful and knowledgeable staff.
Living in an old house with period features has its drawbacks when it comes to retaining heat.
I’m pleased to say that Cocoon are able to overcome this and ensures there’s no difference to the original.
David was clean, tidy , professional and highly experienced.

We cannot install double glazing due to listing and we had been doubtful about secondary glazing. The product offered by Glaze and Save is excellent and we have now installed on most of our windows. Draughts , condensation and noise all materially reduced. Customer service and installers are first class. When working in your home they are punctual , tidy and reliable.
Expensive but value for money and highly recommended.

I had the Cocoon Invisitherm secondary glazing fitted in my category A listed flat in the West End of Edinburgh. I needed something that would fit within council restrictions but significantly reduce heat loss. Cocoon was the perfect product for this and it has saved me a significant amount of money. It is discrete and fits perfectly with the original design of your windows. The team were incredibly responsive and installed quickly and easily.
I could not recommend the team and product more highly.

We live in a Victorian property with original single glazed windows. With the drafts and cold, we really wanted to better insulate the property and have more comfort in winter time, but replacing with double glazed windows would be prohibitively expensive if we went like for like (wooden sash and case). We weren’t keen on pvc and it seemed a shame to rip out original features, so that led us to investigating alternatives.
A friend rented a big house for a birthday party and we noticed the secondary glazing there, invisitherm. It was practically invisible and kept the period look of the property, so we reached out.
From start to finish, the experience was excellent. The team are highly knowledgable and gave great advice more broadly on improving the state of our existing windows (which needed a little TLC). We went ahead with in isotherm on the entire upstairs and hope to someday do the downstairs once budget allows. We get a lot of noise and this was cut down immediately. You notice the difference just pulling one of the panels out. We can still easily open the windows and taking out panels is like opening a fridge door because of the magnets.
The system itself is invisible. I often have to poke with my finger to check if the panel is in. Looks fantastic, drafts are gone thanks to not only the panels but the excellent installation of the beading and draft proofing. We look forward to feeling the impact this winter as we had ice on the inside of one of the windows last year!
Highly recommend, and thanks very much to the whole team.

We have used Glaze and Save/Cocoon since 2015 to insulate our windows in an 1860 house. We have always been happy : thus returning for more. This last installation to three bedroom windows (one of which they designed so we could still open the window) was the same. We noticed immediate benefits in terms of condensation (now none!) and radaiator use (our graph shows less!). Also, importantly, it is totally invisible. We are absolutely delighted - again!

We had secondary glazing installed in 8 windows in our Edwardian property, and are very happy with the result. Our home is warmer, less draughty and we have already seen a reduction in our heating bill. Tanya and her team were very attentive and went out of their way on several occasions to ensure the work ran smoothly and on time (including getting the work complete pre Xmas so we could have a warm festive break). Everyone we dealt with from Cocoon was incredibly helpful, kind and professional - we have already recommended to all of our neighbours!

the window that glaze and save installed has performed better than our other existing double glazed window - during the frosty low temperatures the invisitherm window had zero condensation

I have been in charge of two large houses having secondary glazing fitted, one (a church Rectory) was done recently; it has made a big difference, the second (my own home)n has been done over several years and is fantastic. We are warm at last.
The firm has sensible and effective solutions for difficult or large windows.
The staff, without exception, are helpful, kindly, friendly and efficient at their jobs.

From Moira's warm voice on the phone through to Kevin's meticulous workmanship the installation of our glazing was a dream.
We had stalled putting in double glazing into our lounge windows because we simply could not bear to see our beautiful Oregon pine windows damaged in any way to accommodate 'factory made sealed units'. Glaze and Save were recommended to us and we were impressed by Rory's site visit. He knew what he was talking about and had many useful observations on our woodwork and glazing.
Not long after that site visit Kevin turned up and installed the glazing. He was courteous, clean, tidy and competent. Within two days we had our double glazing installed and it is almost impossible to detect the glazing. Our Oregon pine windows are still a joy ; now the dreaded drafts have disappeared and the room is much warmer.
Thank you Glaze and save team.

Installation of Invisitherm panels on all stained glass windows and clear windows in a church built in 1850.
The work was undertaken by various members of the installation team.
Need for the church to be available for Sunday services, scheduled weddings and baptisms and funerals was always accommodated and worked around.

Fitting of 'InvisiTherm' magnetic secondary glazing to several unusually designed multiply-divided windows in two bedrooms at my mum's house, a 1950s one-off bungalow. The big advantage of the glazing system was improved energy efficiency and warmth of the rooms, whilst maintaining the original windows and so avoiding planning permission in a conservation area. They matched the colour of the window frames exactly, so no need to repaint, and enabled two small hopper windows to be opened easily for ventilation.
We have a third room installation planned for next week, and some further smaller windows that we are awaiting quotations for. The secondary-glazed rooms now feel much warmer, with condensation only on the coldest winter mornings.
The company CE, Tanya, is very amiable and dedicated, with a good environmental-ethos. David who did both installations was very pleasant, skilled and tidy. The success of the company have made them extremely busy, so there was a much longer wait for the current installation, but the product is worth the wait.

Glaze&Save installed secondary glazing on my single pane sash windows. I knew the secondary glazing would help but I wasn't expecting it to be so good. The house is much warmer and quieter and the central heating temperature has been lowered by 3c producing excellent energy saving

We've been on a 10 month journey with Glaze and Save and all of it has been perfect. From the initial home visit and quote in February to the installation in November, communication has been faultless (and fun). Kevin and Cory, the fitters, were quiet, conscientious, and tidy - in fact, our house was hoovered more in the 5 days they were with us than it's probably ever been! The product seems to be working very, very well too. Condensation levels have plummeted and the boiler for our underfloor heating isn't firing nearly as much. When you sit on the loo next to what was the coldest window, you also don't get hit with a cold air or leaves blowing in! No one will ever take that joy away from me.
The only downside is very, very, very minor. One of the fitters left a half eaten empire biscuit. Savage.
