Steven and the team did two jobs for us, both excellent. Clear and comprehensive quotes prior to starting the work. The team arrived on time, worked hard, were very tidy, and completed on schedule. All members of the team were good-humoured and were clearly skilled craftspeople. Photo of the first job included, where the team carved and replaced the sandstone window arch.

While they were carrying out the first job, we asked if they could check out some rain damage at the back of the house. This Steven did, and agreed to carry out a drain repair, cleaning and repointing of the stone wall. The back of the house is difficult to access. The team carried their equipment and heavy bags of lime mortar from van through two gardens to the wall, and then back again at the end of the day. That deserves an extra star, though we’re limited to five! Extra shout out to Darren’s superb playlist :)

Steven was friendly and efficient. We had the grouting replaced on our entrance bridge to our tenement in the New Town. Shortly after there was some leakage following a heavy rain which Steven responded to very quickly coming and fixing it. I would happily use them again.

We had a communal repair of a chimney stack on a tenement. We had several quotes in but Edinburgh Stone Repair were the only ones who really engaged with what needed doing, what definitely needed replacing, what could be patched and what would be worth doing whilst the scaffolding was up. They were also the cheapest, possibly because they actually looked at the job rather than suck their teeth and say "that'll all need replacing". Communication was good throughout - but that is a two way process so we need a star for that too!

I had a concrete path removed and a new path with custom built gate put back in and cracked concrete window sills repaired. The team arrived early every day. The guys were cheery, helpful and completed the job in the timescales we agreed. They also tidied up well after the work was completed Very pleased with the result!
