We had our whole (terraced house) roof re-slated, plus extensive lead work undertaken. The project was completed on-time, on-budget, and done to a superb standard. I started with high expectations...and Edinburgh Leadcraft exceeded them - our roof now looks beautiful. We paid for the work in stages as various milestones were passed, and everything went well. Nice team too!

I was very pleased with the work carried out and the friendly nature of the staff involved. A lot of photos and a video were sent after completion to demonstrate the work done. There are so many photos that I have chosen not to include any as one or two would not give a true indication of all the work.
I have only given 4 stars for the cost as it was expensive as well as extensive. However I do not have any idea as to the cost of roof repairs in 2025 so I may be under-rating it.

Leadwork replacement to gullies, valley’s, drainage channel, lead flashing installation to cornice, refurbishment and slate replacement to dormers, slate replacement and downpipe repairs to a Grade B listed building constructed in 1860. Edinburgh Leadcraft carried out a comprehensive survey, provided a photographic report with costs of repair complete with various material options. Our property has multiple ownership thus this information enabled clear, concise discussion to be held between the parties on a significant spend. Stephen was available to meet and discuss queries at all times. The works were delivered to an agreed timescale with good communication throughout on progress and managing any additional work. Works completed to a very high standard.

I was impressed with Stephen's professionalism right from the outset when he inspected the roof all the way through to installation. The team did an excellent job with amazing attention to detail. We had leadwork done last year while we were rebuilding a stone chimney. Edinburgh Leadcraft's work was of the highest quality. I went up the roof to see it, but they also sent me a series of photos showing each step, which was helpful. Communication and timeliness were excellent. I've hired the team to do more work this Spring time.

Cannot recommend Edinburgh Leadcraft more. They carried out extensive roofing works across various office roofs for me and Stephen and his team were always responsive and extremely professional with all work carried out to the highest possible level. Honest feedback and assessments were provided at all stages. They now deal with annual maintenance and inspections for us. Thank you Stephen and Edinburgh Leadcraft!

“Edinburgh Lead Craft have done several projects for us now. One of the most recent was replacing our old Lead Rain Water Goods (which were failing badly), with new lead formed downpipes and troughs to match the original design. Their work and finish is beautiful and really lifts the look of the building. With our building dating back to 1628 it is extremely important to us to be considerate in our repairs and to copy the original works. Edinburgh Lead Craft had no issues in producing the works that we required.”
