we had a shower screen fitted over our bath and although i had contacted many plumbers as it was quite a difficult job as where the tap was the shower screen had to be fitted quite close to the edge of the tile copper heating was the only company that offered to come and have a look and even try and fit it.

Dave was very friendly and approachable, he did a fantastic job under the circumstances, dave also kept in touch with us from start to finish he was very professional throughout and after 4 months in our new house with no shower screen we finally have one thanks to Dave and copper heating.

New kitchen ripped out and replaced, Dave from Copper Gas used his expertise to resolve multiple issues in relocating gas, water and waste pipes, fitting 2 x new column radiators and pluming in new sink and appliances, this job was no easy task as it involved concealing radiator pipes in ceiling and wall voids.

Had my very old boiler replaced by Dave at Copper Heating. It was very easy to discuss my requirements and looking at available options. The boiler was replaced in a professional manner. I've recently had my external walls harled and any new fixtures added were blended seamlessly with the harling.

Dave and his team installed a new combi boiler for us in place of our old traditional boiler, which also involved running new water pipes to the bathroom, removing the old hot water tank by the boiler, and disconnecting the old cold water tank in the loft. At the same time he reconnected our gas supply after SGN had moved our gas meter, and did some pipe rerouting work in the attic - all in preparation for getting our attic boarded, and bathroom refurbished. Plus he installed a new Hive system, and fitted a couple of our old radiators with new thermostatic valves.

From the first time Dave visited to quote for the work we were impressed by his knowledge, enthusiasm and "can do" attitude, which really gave us confidence that he would do a good job. He was also somewhat less expensive than some of the bigger companies we had approached.

Dave and his team arrived on time on the first morning and worked very hard throughout the 2-day job. They really went above and beyond, doing things like emptying and dismantling the old water tank in the attic which was no longer required. They left things very clean on both days and worked until past 8pm on day 2 to get the job finished on time, even including polishing the new copper pipes around the boiler! Dave made sure our new Hive system was up and running, and gave us a comprehensive run-through of how to use it.

The man is an absolute star and we are really delighted with the work he has done. We would have no hesitation at all in recommending him and in using Copper Heating again.

I am delighted with the work carried out by Dave Wilson. He supplied a very detailed estimate, arrived on time, and replaced my 35 year old boiler with a new Worcester Bosch, at a brilliant price, in time for winter! He and his colleague worked incredibly hard and left the kitchen immaculate - a pleasant surprise as I had anticipated having to get a joiner afterwards to tidy everything up. Dave was friendly, communicative, efficient and thorough in assessing and fixing a few issues with the boiler and plumbing and carrying out a full gas check in our recently purchased house. He talked us through everything he discovered and also some suggestions of how we could plan to improve the existing system in a cost effective way and he seems to have a good eye for detail. Repaired faulty toilet cistern mechanism. Came same day after finishing organised day jobs. Very satisfactory work, quick, efficient and capable tradesman.

Previously had serviced my gas boiler and I know it works better after he left than before he came. Skilled, Scottish Gas trained, boiler service and repair at a reasonable price.
I would not hesitate to recommend Dave on the work he has done for me.

Dave from Copper Heating replaced some parts in my boiler and got it working again. I’d initially had another firm in who said I needed a new boiler as it couldn’t be repaired. Dave came out and realised it could be fixed. He explained if I wanted he could be between 2 things. I agreed and next day Dave sorted this. My boiler is running like new again and have since used Dave to replace a radiator and upgrade my thermostat to Hive. Always shows up on time and very professional. Would highly recommend.

Easily the best heating engineer I've had in the 10 years I've lived in Edinburgh across 5 different properties.

Had him around a few times already for various different issues and services and he really goes out of his way to diagnose the issues in a methodical, scientific and enthusiastic approach that gives you confidence that he really knows what he is doing. Also not shy to give you the full detailed response of what the issue is instead of the watered down response which adds a lot of trust to the process.

I’ve used Dave a number of times for small jobs in our rental property, so asked him to quote when we needed a new boiler in our house.

Dave provided a very competitive quote, and the information provided on it explained exactly what work would be done, along with all the various materials required and even mentioning the specs & guarantee lengths of each of the boilers quoted which I really found useful for making a decision.

The work carried out was excellent, Dave arrived when he said he would (even sent a message of confirmation the night before and one to say he was on the way), completed the job in the timescale he said, and while working, had the house well covered with protective sheets, and cleared everything up when the job was done. I also was really pleased with the explanation of how my new boiler and hive controller worked, Dave was happy to answer the (loads of) questions I had about using it! He is very patient!

Overall I was very pleased and will be having Dave back to annually service my boiler going forward.

I was recommended Dave from Copper Heating by a neighbour when I was looking to get designer radiators fitted. I had sought a few other quotes at the same time, and some companies wouldn’t entertain the work type, while others the cost differences varied.

Dave came to measure up and discuss what the best options were, checked the wall suitability for the heavy radiators and showed me previous work completed.

I found the quote supplied by Dave to be very detailed, so I knew exactly what I was getting for my money, which I find important as other quotes I received didn’t really give a lot of information.

On the day of the job, the materials had been delivered to my house in advance. Dave was very meticulous in covering the areas where he was working, and making sure the areas were kept safe - I have a young child so this was important to me too. Copper have carried out some essential repairs and maintenance on my boiler a few times now. The service was fantastic and superb value for money. So much so, Copper are the first company I call for my annual service. It’s difficult to find a genuinely trustworthy local business, but Dave at Copper is first class. They’re so flexible and accommodating, and as far as the all important “after-job clean up”, he left the place spotless! Tremendous. I won’t use any other company now.
