I was recommended Lewis and Blair by a friend. They made an appointment to quote for the work. They also took photographs and I was able to see the roof damage. Their quote was competitive and they gave me options for the work required.
They sent a text message letting me know their time of arrival on the day we agree for the repair.
They are hard workers as well as being exceptional nice people. They tidied up and there was no mess.
My elderly mother has also used them to repair her bungalow roof. We are both very happy with their service and have no hesitation recommending them.

B&L Roofing competed a new roof on an old Victorian property. Throughout the work, the service was professional and reliable. I really can't express how much I appreciated the diagnostic skills of Lewis from B&L Roofing. I was previously advised that the leak at wall/ceiling would likely be due to some deterioration of the external pointing, requiring a tower scaffold to access! How delighted was I that Lewis from B&L came to appraise the situation and found a much smaller issue (a missing iron bolt in the guttering) which he was confident would resolve the issue. It was tricky to access but he took it on himself, used a safety harness and managed to replace bolt and seal the area. The wall dried out soon after the repair. The bill came to just £120 versus the other estimate of around £700! I also received good advice re the application and quality of stain guard, which worked a treat. It was such a pleasure dealing with this company, who demonstrated such integrity and expertise. I wouldn't go anywhere else for roof repairs now, I trust B&L implicitly, they are by far the best.

After a thorough site visit I was provided with a detailed and itemised estimate for work to replace a flat roof that had the challenges of multiple skylights and downpipes.

Repaired water ingress on roof also replaced wet verge system with a dry verge system and replaced rotten timbers.

Refurbished rear pitched roof on house outshot. This included removal of redundant boiler exhaust chimney, and removal of old slated roof and ridge metalwork. This followed by replacement with top quality new slates and metalwork.

Excellent service from B&L who reslated and repaired our roof. Was relatively short notice for taking on the job as they stepped in when another contractor couldn’t fulfill the work and we’d had some bad leaks. They price matched the previous contractor and did a temporary repair to fix the leaks before the work started. Great contractors to have work on your house - clean & tidy, flexible and kept us informed with progress. Would happily recommend.

Replaced the whole roof, ie tiles, guttering etc. We had agreed a price with another contractor who unfortunately went out of business during the 'lockdown', however, B&L agreed to do the job for the same price which, in fact, turned out to be slightly less due to a smaller charge for the scaffolding. The employees were easy to talk to and communication with them was really good as updates on progress was always forthcoming. They only lost about 2 days in 6 weeks due to the weather and at the end of each day the site was always left in a tidy condition ready to get on with it the next day.

We recently had extensive roofing repair work carried out at our detached listed house, by B and L Roofing.

Their quotation was competitive and reasonable, but importantly, for the first time in over 35 years of commissioning roof contractors, this was the first time I had received a clear and understandable specification of the works, materials to be used and how the work would be undertaken.

Any queries were quickly clarified by them.

The work was carried out very professionally and timeously and the principals in the business were "on site" throughout, to ensure quality. Snaggings were very few and were fully and satisfactorily addressed.

The team were all pleasant, polite, tidy and a credit to their employers.

Not only would we use them again (we have other properties), but I have already recommended them to several clients and 1 professional firm who require Roof Reports on residential property in Edinburgh & Lothians.

Our neighbours noticed how they went about their business and 2 of them asked for contact details.

Blair and Lewis repaired my roof following a small leak. They came very promptly after I contacted them and gave me a verbal description of what needed done. I then got a very detailed and very reasonably priced quote. After receiving two other quotes, I decided to go with them because, although they were much cheaper, their quote had been the most detailed. (The rep from one firm didn’t even go on the roof and their quote was more than three times B&L’s!)
My only quibble would be that I didn’t hear back from them for a while and had to contact them to see when they would be able to come. However, they came on the day they said they would and did the job very quickly. I’m hoping I have no further problems but have been told to get back to them if needs be. Two very friendly and helpful young men!

We had our flat roof completely relaid. From the moment we got in touch with the roofers, they were reliable. They came to view the roof when they said they would; they submitted a quote which allowed us to chose more than one option for the repair; they informed us in plenty of time that they would be delayed in beginning (they were held up because of bad weather at a previous job); they turned up exactly when they said they would and they came daily and were excellent while they were here. We were completely satisfied with their work.
