I was very happy to use Welsh builders to put a new roof on my garage. I was most impressed with how the workmen dealt with the asbestos on my original garage roof. They carefully removed it and safely disposed of it to a designated place.
I was so impressed with their workmanship I also used Welsh builders to screed my garage. The men were efficient preparing the floor before the cement mixer lorry arrived. Once the cement was laid, the men were very particular smoothing it out.
They advised me to keep the garage door open for a couple of hours for a few days and by 7 days I could drive my car into the garage.
I would highly recommend Welsh builders if you want a job completed to a very high standard!

We have a large double garage but unfortunately it had two doors with a central pillar supporting the roof and each door wasn't really wide enough for a modern car. We wanted the pillar taken away and a single electric roller door fitted. We had numerous companies out to quote for the work but did not feel comfortable that they were fully confident of how to carry out the structural aspect of things. Fortunately we came across D Welsh Builders ltd who inspired us with confidence right from the start and explained exactly how they would go about everything. They did an excellent job and we are absolutely delighted with the result. They also sorted out all the necessary paperwork with the council for the building warrant etc. The team who carried out the job were very professional and took a real pride in getting everything just right. It wasn't cheap but I am so glad we went with this company and highly recommend them.

I had a garage door/floor that allowed rainwater to flood the front half of the garage, making that area unusable, together with a side door that other companies were reluctant to touch as the lintel had a large space above it which was covered with wood and the actual door space was not a standard size. In addition the vehicle access door was rusty at the bottom due to sitting in rainwater for a large part of the time.

This company expertly fitted a new vehicle access door, a new side door and laid a new sloping garage floor (screed) which, together, doesn’t allow water or debris to enter. I now have a beautifully dry and secure garage which also looks brand new. I am delighted with it.

To top this off, the men involved communicated with each other to ensure that the job was done to the highest of standards and during that time were cheerful, polite and professional. Nothing was too much trouble.

I wish all companies were as competent and committed to doing a good job as this one and I would not hesitate to use them again.

I had my dilapidated up-and-over garage door replaced and a side access door to the garage installed.
My experience of this company from start to finish has been exemplary. Duncan came to inspect the garage and was totally honest about what needed to be done and what didn't. On the day, he gave me a rough estimate of the work to be carried out and advised a formal quotation would follow by email allowing me to read through everything thus enabling me to make an informed decision. Another member of staff arrived the week before work was due to begin in order to assess and confirm the work that was to be done. Two chaps arrived on the day and carried out the work as per requested. A short while after they had left, Duncan arrived to check that everything had been carried out as per the quotation and to my satisfaction. On both visits, Duncan was prepared to take the time to explain everything and to make recommendations based on what he could see. Any questions I had were answered truthfully and if I asked for something to be done that wasn't necessary, he told me thus avoiding unnecessary and additional expense on my part. In this day and age, it's refreshing to find a company who puts their customers first; who looks after their customers and who takes pride in their standard of work.

Just had our new garage and driveway completed last week. From first meeting with Duncan to discuss our requirements and options right through to completion of project we received nothing less than a professional service.

His workforce were outstanding, hardworking and friendly and kept the place tidy at all times.

Time had come for our old leaking sectional garage roof to be replaced.

I had already selected Kingspan insulated sheeting for the new roof and Welsh had experience in providing this long with a service for removal of the old asbestos sheeting with controlled and safe disposal. Followed by complete installation of the new roof sheeting and facias.

The work commenced on the day that was arranged despite the most terribly cold and snowy weather. The workmen worked tirelessly throughout and completed everything by late afternoon leaving a superbly finished job and hardly a trace of them having been there other than the new roof.

I wanted a custom built irregular “L” shaped garage. Welsh understood all my requirements and designed exactly what I wanted. The standard of workmanship and the standard of build was fantastic. The guys were prompt every day on site and despite terrible weather completed the demolition of the old and construction of the new garage exactly as programmed. Even a last minute change to the positioning of the side door was not a problem. Despite current conditions the guys worked safely and distanced outdoor without any issues. Welsh came highly recommended by a family member and I can’t praise enough. As always you get what you pay for and I am delighted.

Very pleased with my new Welsh built garage. This project involved removing old garage and foundations, constructing new foundations, building new traditional block build garage, installing electrics including remote sectional door, pebble-dash garage to match house.
Everyone who worked on garage were very friendly and professional – they did a great job so thank you to all of them.
As this was a substantial investment, I did not want to end up with something that could disappoint through being sub-standard in some way. Even though they were not the cheapest quote I chose Welsh because I believed they would meet my quality expectations. I judged this on their good reputation and talking to Duncan Welsh who was very good at explaining options and gave detailed quotes covering the different options.

I have recently had a full garage refurb - roof, windows, electric door. I can only say that three words would describe this company - service, quality, workmanship. Five stars for all. From the minute I visited their showground to the completion date, everyone involved showed care and professionalism. Duncan Welsh himself did the survey and returned on completion to sign the job off. There was one little hiccup, but when I informed him, he was there immediately and had it rectified. From our first visit to uplawmoor to see their display garages to Duncan's first site visit and then his work with planning application and obtaining a building warrant has been excellent, especially when faced with a few hurdles to overcome with the above departments. Duncan's regular visits on site during the work was also appreciated.
We have had a good number of Welsh employees during the demolition and rebuild process. They worked in some very wet weather for a couple of the days but it never stopped the quality of their work. I would not hesitate to recommend D Welsh Builders Ltd. The removed an old asbestos garage roof and disposed of the material properly and provided me with a lovely new garage roof. The men were excellent in their work and very polite and conscientious. Nice to find a good and reputable builder who also guarantee their work.

From start to finish we received nothing less than professional service for our garage refurbishment. Living in a conservation area, they helped us through the planning process. Once granted made sure we were happy with the dates everything was to go ahead. They turned up exactly on time on the proposed dates and completed the job within the agreed timescales. We now have a functioning garage and we could not be more pleased. I would have no hesitation in giving them 5 stars.
