I had a 6kWp SolarEdge system installed last year along with a Tesla Powerwall 2 battery, and I’ve been absolutely impressed with every aspect of the experience. Over the past year, the system has generated 7,000 kWh, which exceeded my expectations and has made a huge difference in our energy usage.
The service from AES was outstanding. The installers were efficient, professional, and carried out the work exactly as agreed. Everything was completed to a high standard, and the whole process was smooth from start to finish.
I would highly recommend AES to anyone considering solar and battery storage solutions. Excellent products, excellent service, and results that speak for themselves.

I was so delighted with our initial solar PV and battery storage installation, that I soon invited them back to install an expansion battery, doubling our storage capacity.

The entire process from planning to installation was seamless and efficient, with fast and friendly communication with all the AES Solar staff that I dealt with. They looked after all the G98/99 applications and all the necessary MCS certification. Once the first project was completed, I received a full documentation work-pack a week later. A truly 1st class service!

But a special shout out must go to their installation team. What a fantastic bunch of lads!

My ground mounted solar PV array and battery storage installation took only 2x days, and the quality of their work was quite remarkable. I hold all professional tradesmen to a very high standard, but I had absolutely nothing to worry about here, because the quality of their work far exceeded my high expectations. To say I was 'over the moon' would be a massive understatement.

Fast forward a few months, and it was time for the expansion battery to be installed. I was a little bit nervous about upsetting my faultless solar generation setup, which up until now, had been performing far beyond anything I had ever imagined. But my fears were instantly allayed when I discovered the 2x technicians that arrived, had been part of my original solar installation team. And yet again they did a phenomenal job! A mere 3 hours after their arrival, I was looking at an operational second battery, professionally installed to millimetric precision.

I had researched AES solar a couple of years before installing my solar panels, and I'd also sought advice from one of their senior engineers. After that, there was never any doubt in my mind that once I could afford it, AES Solar Ltd was going to be the company that I used to take care of all my solar needs.

As a retired Marine Engineer with extensive mechanical and electrical experience, I am very satisfied with every aspect of the Tesla3 battery and roof mounted Solar array installed by AES Solar. Initial contact was informative, options were fully discussed, and despite long delays and design changes, for reasons outwith AES Solar control, the project team never faltered and the final system design was spot on. Installation was completed smoothly and professionally. The roof array team were fully prepared for my slated roof, and the Tesla battery & back-up team completed the electrical installation without fuss. The system was set to work and a full brief on system operation and safety matters given before departure. A very satisfactory experience from start to finish, and at a competitive price. Since installation in May 2025 I have received excellent technical support during my familiarisation with the system and its capabilities. An excellent and trustworthy company.

AES Solar has installed Solar PV systems for myself at two of my properties. A thermal water system at my Mother in 2015.
The first in 2013 at my house. The parts were the best and most reliable at that time, costing a bit more but has proved its worth as still working efficiently.
The company gave me a date for installation and kept in touch with me to check the date was still O.K.
The installation was done in one day and very tidy work.
I had additional solar panels installed in 2017 with same expert team.
I have now used AES Solar to install a second PV system at my second property.
Same team turned up with same quality installation.
The panels were not the cheapest but they were the most efficient and worth the small additional cost. All equipment and fitting comes with a guarantee.
I have now requested them to fit an additional Battery system.

AES Solar fitted solar PV to our home in Forres in 2019. We were very happy with service and support from this local trader, so when we looked to get solar PV installed at our new home, our first call was to AES. As before, we are very happy with the solar PV installation, and a later battery storage installation, and would recommend highly to others.

AES Solar provided a very professional service installing solar panels and a battery storage system for us. The installation was conducted and up and running within a day, and the GivEnergy app integration gave seamless access to the system contol and data. I'd highly recommend them as a long established business that provides a quality service. Maybe not the cheapest company, but you get what you pay for and in a market beset with many less professional companies this gives reassuring piece of mind.

Installation of 7 solar panels and a 10hW battery. AES provided reliable and knowledgeable advice on the specification and installation of the system which had to conform to the requirements of a Victorian house in a West Lothian conservation area. There was no hard sell and with planning permission not being certain they were the only company with the patience to stick with us. When installing the system their local team worked cooperatively with us and listened to our requirements.

Solar panels and battery storage system.
Good guidance and help with our initial enquiry. Excellent team of fitters, polite friendly and very tidy workers you wouldn’t know there was a team of 8 working here. Only downside was had to chase the quote a couple of times and a rough date for installation - genuinely think this was all to do with so many enquiries from members of the public and businesses looking for solar products, but once the quote was through and approximate date were all sorted no problems at all. In fact it happened a couple of weeks earlier than expected.
