Business Information
We are a Family run company, formed in 2011 from the decision of a major company to shut down its local branch. We decided to use the same staff and site personnel to establish a new company, using the same experienced operatives in the Heating, Plumbing and Gas services field.
We will cater for any domestic and small commercial works including Installations, Servicing and general maintenance requirements.
We also carry a building services design service in the company for those who need any type of Plumbing, Water, Air conditioning and drainage services designed in addition to Heating and Gas services.
With a combined experience of over 60 years in the Gas/Heating/Plumbing and Design Fields we can be trusted to get the job done right :).

I have used CHAPS a number of times to service my Air Source Heat Pump. They are always quick to respond to messages and strive to fit appointments in as soon as they can.

I received a prompt reply to my initial enquiry and set a date for the visit. Ian arrived at the quoted time to do the boiler service.
He and his collegue were friendly, imformative and quickly did the service while letting me know what each thing was they were doing.
Left all the paperwork needed about the gas test etc.
In addition he looked at my bathroom towel rails and a problem in the en suite.
He gave me information about the problems and I am waiting for a quote to sort them as well.
Would definitly use him again

A little while ago my boiler had a fault. I contacted Chaps to see if they could fix it.
They responded to me really quickly and came round the next day. They were really nice and polite, they managed to fix it and the cost was nominal.
I would definitely recommend them and would most certainly contact them for any plumbing or heating problems.

There was an unusual fault in my heating system, Another plumber had failed to find the fault. Ian Chapman found almost immediately what was wrong, did a temporary adjustment so that the system worked, ordered the new part (a thermostat) and when that part became available he installed it (on a separate visit). Ian is polite, thorough and intelligent. Strongly recommended.

Our tenants' boiler stopped working in the middle of the December 2022 freeze and a quick fix was needed as they have a wee baby. Although clearly extremely busy, CHAPS came round that day and diagnosed the problem. They returned the day after to fix it, and the panic was over. Excellent customer service as always, and good value for money too.

Serviced boiler. Excellent service. I have used Chaps on several occasions ( New Boiler, refix radiator to wall, new shower unit and servicing central heating).

We had problems with our underfloor heating which required a reasonable amount of diagnosis due to how the heating system was haphazardly installed by the original builder. CHAPS were quick to respond, reliable for times and excellent to communicate with. I will be recommending them again!

Contacted this company for a boiler service and was pleasantly surprised with the response. Booked in for the next week. When the men arrived they were very pleasant and carried out the work meticulously taking time to cover all aspects of the job. I would also say they were very competitive with the price. Would I use them again? Without doubt, yes.

Ian and his colleague replaced two elderly radiators this week, having provided a quote for the work when they serviced the GCH boiler earlier in the month. Top service, value for money and all work done within 2.5 hours. And they even hoovered the skirting boards before fitting the new panels!

Very happy with Ian's service of my vokera boiler. It had a low pressure issue and the last company I used didn't help and told me it's pricey to fix. Ian paid a lot of attention to the machine during the service and fixed the problem within the price of the service. I will definitely use Ian again for the annual service and any other issues. Very knowledgeable and efficient!
