The Key Centre is a family run, local business established in 1997. Based in Irvine, this location is ideal for covering Ayrshire and the west coast. We are full certified members of the MLA (Master Locksmiths Association) being both Qualified Master Locksmiths and Approved company members .
We pride ourselves on offering a first class service to all our customers. Investing regularly in the latest tools and technologies along with up to date training. Our company is built on the principles of providing fast, reliable service and we are happy to offer advice and services concerning both your locksmithing and security issues or requirements.
No call out charge - We will not charge you for simply turning up at your door, nor will you be charged if we do not carry out any work.
Non Destructive Means - We will always gain entry by non distructive means, so your lock remains intact, whenever possible.
Double Glazing Locks, uPVC - If your door is jammed or not working properly because of a broken or damaged lock, we can repair or replace it saving you the cost of a new door. We can source most uPVC lock mechanisms including types that are no longer manufactured and we are Ayrshire's largest stockist of these types of locks.
Emergency Service - Locked out or in - Whether you are locked out due to a faulty lock, have lost your keys or simply left them inside, we will gain entry to your home or business with the minimum of fuss and we offer a rapid response for emergency customers.

Lock fitting and replacement - We offer a complete lock installation services for all types of doors and windows. If you are planning to update your security we are happy to offer our expert advice and arrange a convenient time to install.

Snapped key in lock? - With our specialist skills and tools we can remove the broken key without damaging the lock.

Had a push button key safe fitted at my mum's house as some users found the original key safe difficult to use although we never had any problems. The safe was upgraded on the same day as requested without me having to be there as I live a distance away. We were only charged the difference between the previous safe and the new safe. The overall service was excellent from my initial call which was answered immediately, a same day visit was agreed and I got a call back to advise the safe had been fitted. I just can't recommend this company highly enough.

My back door was jammed shut, contacted the key centre via their what's app and they answered with 1/2 hour and agreed to come out on the bank holiday and fix it
I also got them to check a problem I was having with the front door lock
Overall excellent service at a reasonable price would definitely recommend

Twice this locksmith has been a lifesaver - once was when I mislaid my keys and another time when the back door lock jammed. He comes when he says he will, is a quick worker and a very pleasant man and his charges are reasonable. He explains what he is doing and why he is doing it and doesnt recommend work which doesnt need to be done. I would recommend him without hesitation.

I mislaid a door key, and am delighted that I can now get fresh air in that room, after weeks of lockdown. I have used this firm for three years, and am always met with courtesy and efficiency. I would heartily recommend this firm.
