Energize Electrical was established to provide a comprehensive service to all domestic, commercial and industrial sectors.
We are trusted and reliable electricians who serve customers throughout the City of Edinburgh and the Lothians. We have extensive experience of residential and business electrical installations both large and small.
As an NICEIC approved contractor, we at Energize Electrical will always aim to put the high standards of the NICEIC into everything we do and always adhere to the highest levels of safety and perform the best quality of work possible for all our customers.
This means that our work is regularly assessed to ensure that it meets all the current regulations as well as the industry standards. It also gives our customers, reassurance and guarantees that if for any reason work does not meet the correct standard it will be corrected under the terms of the scheme.

Had an EV charger fitted by Energize Electrical along with bringing my house up to safety standards as flagged during an EICR check they undertook for me.
Genuinely cannot beat the service that was provided. Neil on the phone / in the office has great customer service and really knows his stuff, especially regarding getting the EV grants sorted and the process going smoothly.
Campbell doing the installation did so to a high professional standard, everything looking great now the job is complete. He was also happy to explain the technical aspects to me which I appreciated.

I can honestly say that we have never had a better professional service than the one supplied by Energize Electrical. Neil and Campbell demonstrated what great customer service should be. Always going the extra mile and leaving no question unanswered. We love our new EV Charger and would not hesitate recommending them to anyone.

We had several small pieces of electrical work done;- new socket outlet, replacement of under worktop lighting in kitchen, several new ceiling lights fitted or replaced and a total upgrade of our smoke / fire/ carbon monoxide detectors .
Campbell Maclean was a very tidy worker who vacuumed up the dust produced by drilling and wore soft overshoes to protect our carpets.
The quote from this company was within a few pounds of the two other quotes we received so definitely in the right ball park financially.
He was also polite and friendly and his attention to detail good.

Energize Electrical installed EV charger for us. They were very helpful in explaining the steps involved to make use of the available EV charger grants. All work and communication was professional and the charger got installed quicker than I had expected. Very pleased with the work!

Alarm system in my home developed a fault and Neil was great, sorted out someone to come out ASAP same day to get it sorted for me and kept me in the loop. Which I, and no doubt my neighbours really appreciated after a night of noise. The service was geniunely second to none, tidy, efficient, polite, explained what was going on and answered all my questions. Honestly a huge thanks all at Energize Electrical. I have some less urgent work coming up so will definitely be in touch.

They have provided me with a safety check for my house, flagging up a few things to fix before they install my EV charger.

I recently had an electric car charger (an Ohme) fitted in my property by Energize Electrical, and found the service to be first class. In order to qualify for the various government grants currently offered various hoops are required to be jumped through: Neil talked me through the whole process and made sure everything was in order. When it came to fitting Campbell came for a site visit and explained all the requirements before we made the appointment which meant we could set out the best way to install the charger in advance. When the day to fit the charger he arrived promptly, and the charger was in use later that evening: no surprises. I was extremely happy with the service and communication throughout and would highly recommend.

Campbell fitted all the electrics in a new extension for us, as well as replacing our old fuse board. He did an excellent job - everything was done to a great standard and on time, plus he was really friendly and gave lots of great advice. We’d definitely recommend him and will be using again next time we need any electrical work done.

I had an electric vehicle charging point installed by Energize Electrical and I have been very pleased with the excellent service that they have provided. They arranged a site visit soon after my first contact, where they gathered my requirements and recommended a charger that met my needs. They kept me informed throughout the process of ordering the unit, arranging install and also provided valuable assistance in the steps required to secure a grant from the Energy Savings Trust. They were keen to answer all the questions that I had and provided support post install during the set up of the unit, so they could use this to assist other customers. I would have no hesitation in using them again or further electrical work or recommending them to other people. Many thanks to Neil and Campbell.

Energize Electrical carried out extensive works including (a) installing a new fusebox, (b) adding multiple plug points, (c) installing new pendant lights and (d) a full electrical safety check. They gave lots of excellent advice even before giving the quote. They were professional, communicative and tried their best to be tidy. I was very happy with the work. Can't recommend Energize Electrical enough.
