Norman has transformed what was a very scruffy corner of our garden. Our new decking is gorgeous and has been finished to such a high standard. Norman was so clever at coming up with a great design and then he used good materials and was meticulous in his work. He was very reliable and a very pleasant guy. The new decking looks great. We can't wait to enjoy it when the weather improves. Thanks Norman, great job :)

Fence repair.
As always Norman turned up on time and complete the work with in the agreed time scale and cleaned up when the work was completed.
Would definitely use Norman again and would recommend him to others requiring fence-or decking work.

Building of new decking area at uneven lower garden area.
Great job by Norman who when quoting for the work gave a concise description of how he planned to carry out the works and in turn executed them the same.
He worked in some horrible weather conditions but never missed a day as he set up a canopy in the garden and was properly equipped for the elements.
I would advise anyone who is thinking of decking to have a look at his website and you will see where he differs from other contractors with his attention to detail.
The subframe was impeccably prepared above concrete pad foundations ensuring the framework was clear of ground moisture. The framework was screwed together and all cut ends were treated to prolong the lifespan of the deck.
The deck boards were finished with a lovely border and an angle and all attached using a concealed screw system.
We have someone in the household with mobility issues but this has been somewhat alleviated by being able to step out to an even surface from the doorway.
Great communication from Norman from quoting to carrying out the works and also a very nice person.
If we were to undertake any similar works he would be the only person we would call.

After being blown over in the storms of last winter, we finally got hold of Norman to rebuild it as a hit and miss fence, to reduce any wind damage in the future.
Norman put forward ideas on design, erection, and post-erection landscaping, and did a fantastic job, at a reasonable price to achieve the result.
Furthermore he completed this project in the most awful weather, when most tradesman would have not turned up.
I am more than pleased with the result, and look forward to having Norman back for some decking repairs next year!

Norman provided decking on two levels with a connecting stair. Norman was knowledgeable and professional; all the work was completed to a high standard and on time. We are very happy with the end product.

Replacement of balcony railing around existing decking which was rotten in places, and falling down. Norman assessed what would be required and advised on how he would do the repair. The wood he uses is of a much better quality than there before, the design and finish is great, all now completed, clean up done and all "rubbish" removed, I am absolutely delighted with the end product and would not hesitate in recommending Deckin Design, reasonable price, high quality work, excellent.... can't wait to show it off! Have already asked him to see if he can replace steps which have never been great.... hope he has time

Large area of garden transformed with raised decking. Took about a week to complete all foundations, decking and sealing. Incorporated a water feature within the decking area and angled boards with concealed nailing.
A very professional finish and I am more than satisfied.

A first class job by Norman and Ian to build new timber decking to replace the old one. Very impressed with the high standard of workmanship and quality of finish. I found Norman and Ian to be polite and courteous, and always punctual. They grafted hard to get the job done. Very pleased and highly recommend.

Norman was worth wait. Covid demands had impacted on his time scale, but he was as good as his word and his work is excellent. He was on time every day went over the plans for the decking area, and communicated plans for each stage every day.

Repair to handrails of decking installed by Deckin’ Design about 15 years ago. This was to address one very small piece of wet rot on one handrail, which is less than expected for the area of decking we have. Norman installed our decking about 15 years ago and a few years back, I stripped it back to bare wood and oiled it. It now gets an annual light pressure wash and oiled. Still looks great. Would highly recommend this company if you want solid quality decking that will last for many years.

The works were to erect a new boundary fence and dismantle and dispose of most of the old one and blend parts of the old fence into the landscape. I found Norman to be highly professional and competent throughout . He kept me up to date with progress as the works progressed and his advice regarding ensuring the result was aesthetically pleasing was invaluable. The standard of workmanship is exceptional and I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending Dekin' Design

Asked Norman to design a step idea for our BBQ hut. He took his time to develop an idea and emailed his plan and estimate to us. We are delighted at the finished result but probably more impressed by the quality of the patio and wraparound steps. Engineered (not an exaggeration) to an exceptional standard and at a very competitive price. I would not hesitate to recommend Norman for any such job; in fact we have already asked him to quote for another decking idea. Top quality and very affordable.

Excellent quality of work and attention to detail. This is my 2nd time using Decking Design and would highly recommend them.

Prior to commencement of work, Norman took time to fully discuss our requirements taking into consideration my mobility problems and proffered suggestions to make the area more accessible and user friendly. Norman and Hugh then dismantled our old deck and re-instated a new very professionally finished deck and step area Subsequently our finished decking now enables me to safely access the back garden. Throughout the contract both Norman and Hugh, at all times, conducted themselves in a very polite, courteous and professional manner. Even although, some days, the weather was less than helpful our deck was finished on schedule and the garden left completely cleaned down and tidy.

We had 2 fence panels fitted and Norman made 2 gates for my back garden. The work done by Norman and Hugh was to the highest standard especially give the challenging weather conditions. I would highly recommend Norman so much so that I am waiting for a gap in his work schedule to do other work for me.

Decking installed in rear garden. Good all round experience and done everything they said they would do.

Norman has just built a second deck for us having already built us one a number of years ago.
The area of the garden wasn’t the easiest to work with yet he designed and built a deck that looks fantastic and has transformed that area of the garden. He is good at working with you to get the best solution.
The quality of his workmanship is fantastic and he ensures attention to detail which is clear in the finish.
He is also very reasonably priced. We would recommend and would not hesitate to use him again.

Construction of a Summer House base was a challenging project due to the slope of the ground . In addition the measurements required to match exactly the house manufacturers specifications.
The degree of precision in construction of the base was confirmed when the house construction team arrived on site and described the base as “perfect and the best they’ve come across”
