I wanted to give my kitchen a lift with more modern colours and styles. On chatting with Angela I soon realised that this was a company that I could do business with. All members of staff were friendly, polite and really knew their stuff. I was given timings of when each trade would arrive. The kitchen fitters wasted no time followed by the gas fitter, electrician and painter. All arrived on time one after the other. Perfect organisation. My new kitchen was left spotless. I found Youngs via the rockdoor trusted installer page and when I phoned to enquire the service was so friendly and helpful, answering all my questions and concerns, promptly followed by quotes being issued.

The measuring and ordering process was simple and transparent and the guys who came to fit the door were fantastic, did a great job and left everything clean and tidy.

The door itself looks fantastic although I do find the prices on the high end for composite doors, however it was my choice to go for one of the more expensive models.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Youngs to anyone looking to have work done.

I recently had eight internal doors supplied and fitted by Young Joinery Ltd., and I cannot thank the company enough for the care and attention that was taken. From the start of the process when I went along to the showroom to view the products, right through to the work being completed, I felt I was in safe hands. The two fitters who came to the house turned up exactly when I expected. They were friendly, hardworking and skilled at what they do .... and they also tidied up before they left which was an added bonus. I arranged for Youngs to convert and extend an old shower room into a newly fitted one with accessible appliances for my elderly mother. Their timescale of trades people to do the various tasks was superbly organised. All of their staff were highly professional and talented and produced a beautiful new bathroom to an excellent level of finish. All were extremely polite and respectful fulfilling their roles. I would not hesitate to recommend them or use them again.

the 7 foot concrete lintel above a bedroom window had broken, young joinery sent a representative to assess the work, following that we were sent a full itinery with breakdown of costs.
once the work started it was done quickly with very good results, the rendering on the wall was re-instated and all waste from the job was cleared away.

Young joinery supplied and fitted a new composite front door with side panels. No deposit required before the work was done. The wait period for delivery given by Youngs was spot on. Fitters arrived at 9am as promised and despite some challenges faced in removing the old door and framework they were all done in a few hours. Great service all round from this Business and they even send a lovely bunch of flowers after the work was complete. A great touch. Would have no hesitation in using again and would thoroughly recommend.

Had various work undertaken by youngs joinery (internal doors, Rock Door ,Bannisters) and wouldn't use anyone else!..from the friendly ladies in the showroom, to the professional, expertise of the skilled team of joiners. I would absolutely recommend and use this company again ..10/10 ????

This was the second time we have used Young joinery in the last 6 moths. The first job was replacing internal doors are garage door and window. An excellent job was done so I didn’t hesitate in using them again. They fitted a new upvc ceiling in the kitchen with individual spotlights. Once again everything was done on time and with hard working trades people. The things I love most about this company is their friendly team,quality finish and materials and the way they tidy up,hoover etc before they leave. Very impressive and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them.

Supply and erection of fencing. It proved to have been worth waiting a few months for a company that provided an excellent service. From the the initial advice provided by Paul to the friendliness and hard work of the team on site could not be faulted.

This company came highly recommended from family members but unfortunately our experience was not positive.
We were delighted to choose our new bathroom and Angela was very knowledgeable, helpful and managed our expectations of what we could do with the space. She also accommodated the dates we needed due to our summer holiday which we really appreciated.
Work began 13/06/22, which was due to take one week and started well. Halfway through the week there was a mix up with the tiles. We assumed there was a misunderstanding during our session choosing at the showroom. Angela resolved this for us and ordered our tiles but this delayed the rest of the work. We understood and chose to leave our keys with the company while we were on holiday after being assured everything would be fine, that they were professionals and the work would be completed when we got back. It was not but we received an email to let us know there were some snagging issues and they would be resolved as soon as possible. We had noticed areas which were poorly finished and also that one wall had been tiled by mistake and another had not been plastered at all but still felt confident that Young’s to deliver.
Over the course of the next 2 weeks we had them in and out fixing some of the issues. We pointed out some of our concerns and were told by some of the guys that they wouldn’t be happy with a few of the things we had noticed and they would report our concerns back to the office. Over the next few days we noticed more and eventually had to send a detailed list of issues. We also asked for someone to come out and see the bathroom as it had been left. Out biggest concerns were the unplastered wall, incorrectly tiled wall (left with 1cm gap at the one end) and the silicone seal which was very poorly finished. Lisa seemed genuinely apologetic over the phone. Angela did come out, listened to our concerns and agreed to arrange the further work as a priority. It did not take priority. We had to persistently call and email to try and pin down some dates for the additional work and it took a further 3 months for the bathroom to be completed in Oct 22.
We were offered, for our inconvenience, free painting. This took place in August. The painter did the room then informed us as he left that it was matt paint and hoped that was ok so we ended up having to repaint the bathroom ourselves. He also left paint splatters on the vinyl flooring and the tile trim
We were billed in full the day after the final work was done and paid in full. We find it perplexing that not even a token amount was taken off the bill because of the inconvenience and length of time taken to complete the work. It wasn’t about the money but even a gesture of apology would have been appreciated.
Overall, our experience with this company fell far short of our expectations and was not what we were expecting at all having seen their previous work.

We first contacted Young Joinery in May to get a quote for replacing three internal doors, doorframes and a cupboard door. After 2 years with no doors, we were thrilled to receive a phone call from Angela within minutes to set up an appointment for Paul to visit and give us a quote. Paul was prompt and very friendly, gave us some quick advice on some damp issues whilst he was taking measurements (thank you by the way- it worked!) and we had a quote through within a couple of days. Upon agreeing to the quote, Angela and Lisa were brilliant about contacting us when needed- some of the doors we chose weren’t available, Lisa helped us to choose alternatives which we were really happy with and Angela let us know when they would arrive to install.

On the day the work was done, the team turned up promptly (I’m sorry, I didn’t catch their names!), were really friendly and kept us updated on their progress. They really went above and beyond to ensure things were done to an excellent standard and we were thrilled with the outcome. They were more than happy to answer our many questions and explained what they had done in each area- they then cleaned up and disposed of rubbish for us. We now have lovely doors and are much better prepared for winter.

On top of all the work listed above, a few days prior to the doors being done during heavy rain, Young Joinery were able to assist us in getting an electrician at short notice when our electrics went and one of our sockets and plugs exploded!

Our experience with Young Joinery has been excellent from start to finish- we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and when we are ready to complete the next bits of our home, we will absolutely be back. Clear communication, fantastic standard of work and amazing follow up. Thank you so much!

We had a new front door installed by Young Joinery. From the first visit to the showroom and all the way through the process, the team of Paul, Angela and Lisa kept us fully informed of all options available and checked out with the manufacturing company whether some of our requirements were possible. We were regularly updated regarding progress of our order and forthcoming installation date. We got a small kitchen extension completed and the quality of work and service was excellent. So much so we got the bathroom updated as well. I cannot praise this company enough. We recently had wardrobe doors fitted and joinery work in our kitchen. Angela was excellent organising everything, giving advise and keeping us informed. The workmanship was excellent. Angela also recommended a painter who did an excellent job.

Had a small kitchen refurbishment - alterations to worktops, change of unit doors and re-positioning of an island extractor fan, new kick plates, a new kitchen unit and some minor unit adjustments. It actually looks like a new kitchen but at a fraction of the price! Young's have done work for me in the past so wanted to use them again as they are so reliable and efficient. Turned up exactly on time, kept me involved in the work, did a marvellous job and cleaned up afterwards. Had a follow up call and a beautiful bouquet of flowers as a thank you for using them - what more could you possibly want. Particularly like the fact that they are more than happy to carry out work of any size and I'm one very happy customer with a "new" kitchen.

We had a new living room floor installed and also new skirting boards and door surrounds with the work scheduled to take 2 days. We chose Young Joinery for this work because of the great reviews from neighbours and didn't consider going to any other joinery company. We were delighted with the work and the quality of product - the two joiners who carried out the work were great - they were polite and extremely tidy and kept us up to date with their progress. They started and finished on time. We had a slight problem with one of the skirting boards and Angela in the office couldn't have been more helpful - it was no problem and was quickly replaced with the minimum of fuss and bother. We would have no hesitation in recommending Young Joinery and would definitely use them in the future.

Internal doors were replaced with solid oak doors. Airing cupboard shelved and new door and window fitted to back of garage.
The joiners who did the job were very hard working, polite and mannerable young lads. They made sure that a quality job was done and not a rushed job. I was impressed with Young Joinery's very professional service. We wanted additional kitchen cabinets to match those fitted by our builders. I passed on the brochure from our kitchen supplier and was given a detailed list of what I needed to order. Angela in the office kept me updated and was happy to liaise with the cabinet supplier on my behalf. On the installation day I left the keys with the joiners. When I got home everything was completed as requested and left clean and tidy. I'd definitely use Young Joinery again.

I have recently just had my bedroom stripped back to the bare walls & completely redone done with gorgeous fitted wardrobes by Young joinery. Also my bathroom shower was stripped out & lovely slate effect wet wall fitted, along with new shower & shower screen.
It’s an old farm house with lots of quirks & probably not an easy job to do but to the team at Young joinery nothing was too much trouble.
From phoning up to enquiring about getting quotes till now I can honestly say Young Joinery is undoubtedly very trustworthy, reliable with talented tradesmen.
Also I was let down by a local plumber & Paul Young quickly got us sorted out with Brian the plumber who again did a great job getting the upstairs water supply changed to mains water & fitted a new boiler. Cosy farm house!

Work was completed to an exceptional standard in conditions which were challenging for the workmen involved (very hot and stuffy).

The loft has been transferred into a valuable storage asset, allowing us to advance further plans elsewhere in the house, which we intend to employ Young Joinery in too.

Garden fencing was erected. The workmen arrived on time and the work was carried out promptly and efficiently. We are very satisfied with the results.

Following a significant leak of water while I was away from the premises, a full renovation to upstairs toilet, repair and re-plaster kitchen ceiling, complete re-flooring in all water-damaged ground floor rooms, new internal doors fitted to replace water- damaged doors, and redecoration of whole ground floor.
Completely satisfied with all aspects of work done, service provided and communication throughout the work, which also involved liason with property insurers.

They completed a full re-fit of our house in 3 months. Usual snaggin issues but nothing major. Team are all friendly easy to communicate with and completed exactly what we were looking for.
The work - Downstairs knocked down a wall and installed new steel beam to make an open plan living space. Installed new Kitchen, flooring, doors, new bathroom with shower. Bricked up an window and two doorways. Removed old chimney through from ground level, up to the rough. So retiled roof to fill hole from chinmey. removed external coal bunker. ensured the house was gravel rendered where window and coal bunker were.
Upstairs knocked down wall with built in wardrobes and put up a new wall. Took out old boiler cupboard to make bathroom bigger and square. Completely refitted bathroom. Installed new stair banister.
House - removed old wiring and installed new wires, lights, and network cabling. Removed old plumbing system and boiler. Installed with new plumbing and boiler system.
Porch - installed cladding, new windows and new front door.

We had a shower room re-modelled; with new shower, extractor, lighting, tiling, flooring and walls re-plastered. We were very happy with the whole process. The work was done efficiently and we know have a shower room to be proud of. Communication was very good and overall it was a very positive experience.

My PCV door split in the middle and got replaced by Young joinery. Very impressed with the exact replication of my old front door, same typeface of the number in the matt glass, even reinstalled my catflap within about an hour work.

Young joinery were given the task of project managing the refurbishment of an older house we purchased in the summer , which was mainly internal work but included some external work. They estimated that it would take up to 12 weeks to do and they completed the job on time, a week before Christmas, meaning we could move in to enjoy our new home.

All the trades were selected and managed by Paul Young and they worked extended hours to do their part. The house was taken back to a shell and a chimney, coal bunker and internal walls were removed. The house was rewired, replumbed, and had a new staircase, kitchen, and 2 bathrooms installed.

The communication was good between us and Paul and he did inspect work during the project. We were given notice of when we needed to choose fittings for the house. Their showroom kit is excellent and we selected the kitchen, bathroom and shower room fittings and internal doors from them which were of good quality.

The initial quote was pretty accurate and we only had to pay a tiny bit more for electrical and plumbing work in the end.

Overall we were extremely satisfied with the work the team did, managed by Paul and his wife and we would highly recommend them , in fact friends are using them to extend and update their home.

We were made to feel valued customers. Within a few days of our enquiry we received a written quotation. We added a small amount of work to the quote a few days later which was added quickly and fitted into the time allocated. A problem was encountered during the work. A work around was swiftly decided upon in consultation with ourselves and the head of the company. Overall a lovely finish carried out be efficient, friendly tradesmen.

Young Joinery renovated my tired old kitchen and breathed new life into it. Professional, courteous and friendly, they did such a good job I got them back for two smaller jobs and the same level of expertise and professionalism was again on display. The last job was when my wedding ring fell between my bedside table and wall, then under the floorboards. They retrieved it in double quick time. I can thoroughly recommend this professional outfit.

Young Joinery stepped in to finish off jobs our previous joiner left undone. They did such a great job we asked them to erect decking in the garden and fit new internal doors. Staircase and garage conversion
This is the second time that I have used Young Joinery after replacing all my internal doors.
The standard of work was excellent and I was kept fully informed of the progress at all times.

We had 5 custom made doors costing approx £2000 installed. These doors required painting after installation and Young Joinery stated they would supply a painter for the job. I had to call young joinery on that date to check if the painter was coming. The painter arrived telling me they had only been made aware of the job just then. They rushed the job and the finish is terrible. Young joinery did not accept responsiblity and told me to take it up with the painter.

As well as this, the finish on the door snibs is poor, with several doors not catching correctly. I got in touch with Young Joinery to ask them to correct this, they asked which dates were preferable to me and then failed to get back to me.

The quality of the doors themselves is excellent. This is due to the manufacturer. The service afterwards as provided by Young Joinery was very poor. The paint job is so bad we will have to sand them down and have them redone. We will have to source another joiner to help resolve the issues with the finishes on the door catches.

I am a long term disabled lady and in a wheelchair. The service I received from this company has been first class. The placing of sockets and switches were just where I wanted them which makes my life so much easier. The plumber"moved"the stopcock so that I could reach it and switch the water off easily if I needed to. I have not seen this type of adaptation before.

The ceiling is like an"ice palace"and truly beautiful. All the cabinets are exceptional,practical and perfect for every purpose. I cannot say
how highly I regard this company and all of it's employees.
