Thistle Locks is a family run business based in Inverkeithing with over 20 years of experience. We provide a first class service to customers throughout the Kingdom of Fife and the surrounding areas.
In order to enable our customers to relax, free from worry about their security issues, a free of charge security survey can be carried out to ensure the best advice for your property.
Our local highly skilled locksmiths provide a second to none professional service.
We also carry out the simple task of key cutting at our Inverkeithing, High street shop.

Front door locks changed and patio doors fixed. Phoned in the morning and it was done by early afternoon.
Have used Thistle locks previously for lock changes and always very reliable and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

I needed all the locks in the house changed and arranged a date in advance for attendance. Sandy came on the day agreed, did the work quickly and cleanly. He also advised on a summerhouse lock and did an extra door that I hadn't realised would need doing (and even fixed a wonky door). Highly recommended.

Three doors, three deadlocks... quality work, quality components, quality tradesmen... excellent communication, excellent attention to detail, excellent teamwork... neat, clean, respectful... if only I could install some more doors needing locks just to have them back!

Sandy came very quickly to sort the problem with the back door lock. He is just an honest, reliable and very professional person who takes the time to answer and explain any questions you may have. He is definitely my go to guy for locks and alarms and can’t rate him high enough.

This is the third time I have used Thistle Locks and Alarms. Each time they have provided exemplary service. My initial phone call was dealt with in a polite and super effecient manner. The locksmiths arrived promptly and replaced the lock on my garage door quickly and efficiently. No fuss or mess. It was a pleasure to see craftsmen at work. I will certainly use Thistle Locks again amd recommend them. Absolutey first class service.

Thistle locksmith came out to us to check a lock which had been acting up . It was thoroughly checked over and was working again appropriately. Locksmith explained hot weather was likely to be cause. He wouldn’t take any money as a call out charge. He was prompt, pleasant and efficient and we were very pleased with this service. We would definitely recommend this company as most reliable and fair.

I was having problems with an outside door. Phoned on Tuesday and they came on Wednesday, arrived when they said they would.
Door was fixed in around an hour, I thought it was the lock but it was actually the door that needed realigned.
Really professional and polite and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or use again.
Price was also reasonable I was expecting a hefty bill for this so was pleasantly surprised!

u PVC door handle was not working correctly. I phoned and spoke to Sandy who was very helpful. He gave me advice on how to repair the handle and had the correct parts in stock. I collected the parts and successfully carried out the repair. Great service and I would recommend them wholeheartedly.

Great service from Thistle locks. Had a problem with our front uPVC door lock. The company called ahead to arrange a time to investigate and we then had a visit from David who managed to replace the lock and provide additional keys. Very happy with the polite and professional service and would recommend to others.

A closed door with a broken lock was the problem. I phoned on Thursday afternoon. Sandy arrived at the specified time on that day and assessed the job, giving an estimate. He then arrived again at the specified time the following day (Friday). He freed the shut locked door, replaced the broken mechanism to my satisfaction.
Sandy was very professional, explained what was to be done and carried out the work very well. I am really pleased at the speed of the repair and the cost.

I Have used Sandy at Thistle Locks & Alarms a number of times in the past twelve months from tricky car key cutting to alarm advise to fitting and have found him to be extremely helpful and informative, nothing is too much bother...
The job he’s just completed was fitting a new alarm system and sensors, including fully up to date technology and within current guidelines at times which suited us and with No mess or fuss and I am more than grateful for the work he’s done..
