I decided to get my boiler serviced and the Smart Gas heating engineer gave me a running commentary of my boiler and told me exactly how I can get the best use of it. While he was in my kitchen he also fixed a leak underneath my kitchen tap. He was both friendly and very helpful. This man clearly enjoys his job and he's very very good at it. I could not have asked for a better service.

Fitter even tightened the toilet roll holder. Would have given top marks but had been a few visits to get this finally visited and still wasn’t the cheapest for labour. Engineers are friendly and clear up.

This is the third time I have asked Smartgas to do some work for me, and they've continued their trend of reliable and dependable plumbing work. They installed and moved some radiators in my house, and the plumber kept everything tidy, kept me informed, and ensured everything was working perfectly before leaving.

Boiler servicing. This is the third year we've had Smart Gas Solutions back. They remind us annually when the service is due and have friendly staff who arrive on time and get the job done quickly and efficiently.

Had existing Combi boiler replaced with a Worcester 32CDi boiler complete with magnetic filter & smart remote control. Excellent planning and boiler selection advice upfront from Mark during survey visit, then honoured the requested day and the price quote. On the day Michael, supported part time by Jason, did a fantastic job, hiding all pipework behind kitchen units, working around a couple of challenges, clearly explaining everything and being very tidy in clean-up and complete removal of old kit. Also great support from the SmartGas office team with queries and assistance. SmartGas is a very professional outfit and would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others.

We have used Smartgas Solutions three times recently linked to a property move. They offer a prompt, friendly and efficient service at reasonable value for money.

I contacted Smartgas to replace two radiators, they were very quick in responding and in a few days they came home, evaluated the work and sent an estimate that I found reasonable. Two weeks after accepting it two engineers came home to do the work, they were professional, efficient and left everything clean and hoovered up.

Due to the shape of the cistern a standard part wouldn't fit correctly so he ordered a new part and came back to instal it and only left when he had checked everything was working properly. Smartgas replaced my gas boiler and installed a new radiator. This was not a simple task as the boiler and flue are located in a small loft-space above the bathroom in my flat. I was worried that there might have to be significant cut-outs made in the walls and ceiling to gain access. However, Jason and the team (Chris, William, Kyle) did a fantastic job; they were great at thinking through pragmatic solutions and all the components were installed very neatly with minimal disturbance to the ceiling and walls. They were also very tolerant of my questions, polite and professional. I would also like to thank Mark for his 'can-do' attitude when surveying the job, and his quick response to my questions and concerns. I was very pleased with how it all went.

We had a boiler service and a couple of damaged towel rails. Smartgas came out quickly, offered a solution which didn’t require new towel rails and did the work quickly. Jason was courteous, did the work to a high standard and left the rooms clean. The bill was very reasonable and in distinction to a quote for three times as much from a rival company who were unable to source standard towel rail brackets! I highly recommend Smart Gas.

Our 10-year old combi boiler failed its annual inspection so we needed to have a replacement supplied and fitted as soon as possible. Smart Gas Solutions contacted me a matter of minutes after I made a request on the Ediburgh Trusted Trader website. They provided a competitive quote, and came and fitted the boiler less than 48 hours after I accepted the quote. Everything was left clean and tidy. We weren't clear how the wireless thermostat worked, and they were happy to pop back and show us. My experience of dealing with Smart Gas Solutions was definitely a positive one from start to end.

This company removed our old boiler and huge water tank and installed a new combi boiler in the same day. They came on the day arranged and were two really nice guys who new what they were doing. On job completion you would never have known they had been in the flat as all debris had been removed and hoovered. Just had the yearly service done on the day arranged with no problems whatsoever. Dealing with the office is also a pleasure.

I've just had an ancient hot/cold tank system boiler replaced with a new combi-boiler in my Victorian upper colonies flat.

Great communication from SmartGas, from quote stage to the end.
An unusual job as gas and water piping had to be added and removed from different locations but all challenges were fully explained and efficiently overcome.
It was also a messy job due to the work scope but they performed a good post-work clean-up.
The team had a great work ethic and attitude (they worked over normal hours just to get to a good stopping point on day 1 of 2).
Post work inspection and run-through of set and controls was also clear and with patience.
More than happy to use them again

We needed a new combi, condensation boiler and a new radiator. The work was complicated by the fact that the pipes under the floors needed changing as well and we were worried that massive holes will have to be cut and then patched back.

Mark was very helpful from the beginning and assured us of the care the team will take of our floors and that they will manage the work with as little disturbance of the floors as possible. Indeed, the team was on time, worked very well and efficiently, they were friendly and helpful, and the work was done faster than we assumed, and with a great outcome. We're delighted with their job and we thoroughly recommend them.

Recently completed purchase of a flat off the Royal Mile which was in urgent need of a new boiler and shower. I read all the 5* reviews of Smartgas and could not believe they could be that good but they were. Mark arrived within 25 hours of my new request. New combi boiler and shower in within weeks and gas checks all done. All on time, on budget and super clean and neat. Even the problems of no parking and dealing with the Factor for various permissions did not phase them. Simply amazing at such a busy time. No hesitation to recommend.

We have used SmartGas since we moved back to Edinburgh 3 years ago. They carried out all the plumbing and heating work on the complete refurbishment of our apartment. Their work is of very high quality. I now use them for all my regular maintenance work and they respond and carry out the work quickly. I also use them for my holiday let boiler service. The final recommendation is that a couple of my neighbours also use Smartgas based on our recommendation. I would not think of using anyone else in Edinburgh.

Smartgas came out to inspect my boiler which had broken down during recent bad weather.
They responded quickly and were with me the next day and a new boiler was installed the following week on a Saturday as promised, even though weather conditions caused significant difficulties for staff to travel into Edinburgh.

After a frenzied call around a number of trusted trader plumbers, Mark at Smart Gas juggled appointments to get an engineer to us that same day. Choice of fixing our very old boiler with a costly new pump or getting a brand new one installed.
