Helped us fix a messy water damaged parquet floor with minimal inconvenience but the finished result was better than new.

Richard and Scott sanded and resealed our kitchen and bathroom floors. They did an excellent job and the floors look like new. As promised, there was hardly any dust and they cleaned up at the end of each day. They turned up when they said they would and completed the job according to plan. We had our engineereed hardwood floor sanded and varnished and delighted with the result. Richard said when he would call to do the work and at 8.00 am and he and his colleague were waiting outside at 8.00 ready to start.

Our hall and living room floors needed attention after adding an extension to the house. The existing Junckers boards were laid 20 years ago when we first moved in so they'd had a lot of wear. Richard confidently explained the approach he would take to extend the floor into the new part of the house. This required him to remove sections of the existing floor and fit new Junckers boards into the extended area. To complete the look Richard and his team sanded the new and existing boards in the hall along with the living room. The work is of fantastic quality. I would honestly say the 20 year old floor looks better now than when it was first installed. The new and old boards have been blended together seemlessly, the results really are exceptional. There was no mess whatsoever. Hard working and professional throughout, we are very happy to recommend and definitely would use again.

We used Richard and his team to sand back our oak floorboards following a flood. They were quick to reply to our enquiry and were reasonably priced. Richard and his team arrived on time, were polite and worked hard to get the job done. The finish is beyond what we could have hoped for. Richard fitted new flooring throughout our open plan kitchen/living room in herringbone style. The finished room looks fantastic! Richard has been really helpful throughout, from the initial meeting suggesting different flooring options and price points to fitting in with our timescales for work we were having done to the kitchen separately. The job took a little longer than expected but Richard worked extra hours to accommodate and it has been finished to a really high standard. Richard and Scott did a great job for us when installing new engineered wood flooring in our hall and living room. In addition to installing the flooring they also prepared our existing floor to ensure it was level, removing old skirting boards and replacing them with new throughout.

Richard was really helpful during the process and the agreed price was reasonable. We found the team were totally professional, always arrived at agreed time and dates, working to the timeline and most important left our house spotless and looking great on completion. Richard and his team did an amazing job on our previously untreated wooden floors. They started a day early, always cleaned up after themselves and were great at advising on the logistics of furniture moving. As well as sanding, they repaired and replaced several areas of flooring which have turned out much better than expected. We couldn't be happier with how the floors have turned out. Would recommend.

We hired Richard and his team to fully sand and varnish the floors in our flat. Not only was the job finished to an impeccable standard, the floors are like new, but we also amended the job twice, adding both a hallway and extra room after booking the job.

Got keys to our new house and wanted work done on the floors, a few rooms sanded and our main hall with parquet. We had a few people out to look around and give us a quote, Richard not only came across as most knowledgeable but also at a great price. The amount of 5 star reviews online was also very reassuring.

The work carried out by Richard and his team was exceptional, we could not have asked for any better. Such nice and friendly people. The sanded floors look tremendous and the parquet is out of this world, worth every penny. No mess at all after the work. We are going to get our upstairs sanded in future and we will 100% be using Richard and his team to do that work for us, we could not have asked for any better.

He and his team arrived on time, keep in communication throughout and completed the work in the timescale given. We had our hall and lounge floors sanded. Richard came out promptly to quote and we were delighted when he agreed to fit us in before Christmas. Scott was both reliable and personable and advised us on the right colour of stain that suited the rooms. After the work was completed, Richard then contacted us to make sure that we were happy with the end product. We are thrilled! My only regret is not getting the work sooner. Really good job, reliable, clean and tidy!

Nick and Richard did a great job in resanding and varnishing Victorian pine boards in sitting room and mending, securing and sand and varnish original boards in the hall. Both floors look great and I was impressed with the repair work as it has exceeded my expectations. Work was done on schedule and rooms left v clean. Would recommend and use again with no hesitation.

Delighted with the work which Richard undertook on our hall stairs. The stairs were sanded back to their original condition and then varnished applied. This was a laborious task which Richard just got on with and he put in a lot of effort. All work was carried out to a high standard and the room was left extremely neat and tidy.

The price was very good and Richard was quick at responding to emails and offering advice.

Had click laminate flooring laid on ply. This is the 3rd job we have had the company do. Excellent quality work, professional and efficient. They always clean up after themselves too. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

We are delighted to find a parquet floor in our flat when we bought it, but it was in a bad state. After being told it wasn't worth repairing, we found Richard who came and did a fantastic job. We are delighted with his work and would 100% recommend his company.

I have now used Richard Barrett flooring on three separate occasions. The first was to do my kitchen floor with engineered wood nearly three years ago. The job was excellent, the floor very good quality and it has worn very well, with no problems. I then used him for two further jobs on another flat in 2019 and 2020. This was to install an engineered wood sitting room floor and a hard wearing vinyl kitchen floor. I was delighted with the results, the quality and the finish. I highly recommend Richard Barrett flooring - the standard of work is excellent.

We had our existing hardwood floor removed and Richard then removed the sub standard sub floor and replaced it - a joy to no longer have a squeaky floor! He then laid hardwood blocks (Parquet) sanded and oiled them. In addition he replaced an existing hardwood floor in a large second room and laid hardwood blocks (parquet) sanded and oiled them. We were up against a tight timescale as had a new kitchen being fitted. Richard worked extra hours including weekends to meet the deadlines - he went the extra mile. Despite being up against it time wise Richard did not let his quality of work slip - as usual the floors have been laid beautifully by Richard and his team. Wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. In fact I have booked Richard to replace another floor as we were so pleased with the results.

We recently had our Floors sanded in our house. I would recommend Richard and his team, exceptionally friendly, reliable and work to a high standard. We had our floors done many years ago by the company and they were our first port of call 17 years later to have them refreshed. Work men who turn up when they say, do a good job and leave the house tidy after work is done. You can’t beat that kind of service!

Very professional and reliable

We had a problem with a leak in the kitchen that affected the floor and we therefore needed new flooring. Richard came to check things out the day we called him and took measures to avoid further damage before he was able to return and complete the job. He explained clearly the work required and returned in due course to finish it in a thoroughly professional and timely fashion. We are very pleased with what he has done.
