I wanted structural changes to my garden, money was an issue. After full discussion it was agreed what work they would do, mending walls, railings, greenhouse etc. They have completed this to a very high standard, for a very reasonable price transforming my garden. I can now take pleasure developing my planting.

Awful experience. Turf was laid uneven and within a couple of months the grass went yellow, lots of weeds appeared along with lots of bare patches and moss. I tried contacting for help and although they initially said it was an issue and that they would fix, they are no longer returning my calls/ messages.

I have been using P1 for a number of years now for the purpose of cutting a communal drying area and gardens. Planning to use them again and have contacted them by email. Their work is of a high standard and I'm happy to recommend them.

Outstanding job. From start to finish, they took the time to understand what I was looking for and helped with finding the right materials to make my dream garden. I had the whole garden ripped up as was all uneven before, new fences, gates, patio and artificial grass, they also laid a new path down the side of my house. We wanted to reduce the maintenance required for our back garden and give it a make over. We told David our requirements and ideas and he did exactly what was asked for and more.
Henrick's work rate was amazing, he carried out the majority of the labour from clearing the existing area to erecting fences and preparing the ground for the artificial grass which was laid by Sports Turf Services.
Everybody involved turned up on schedule and did exactly what was required.

David, Henrik and the rest of the team transformed part of my back garden. Old decking removed and a lovely stone patio area laid which had a retaining wall built with sleepers. The main part of the retaining wall was double depth incorporating a planting area and a lovely wide set of steps up to grass/slate area. The team also removed small part of grass area and sectioned this area off covering it with chipped slate, looks fabulous, can now go and collect washing from the line without going on the grass. Very hard working and polite team. Patio area came in on budget. I would certainly recommend P1 Services and I will certainly use them again, hopefully next year.

In November 2020 we had 2 large L shaped raised flower beds built at the bottom of the garden using sleepers filled with earth, plants and stones. Finished item impressive and well made, we are very happy with the end result. The P1 team who worked on this were impressive, pleasant and extremely tidy and respectful of our garden. I have used P1 in the past to construct a large fencing area around the garden since then we have received many postive comments about the style and constrcution. All in all a very reliable company.

I had the back garden fence removed, new post holes dug out and complete new fence and gate installed. The work was completed before the deadline I'd requested, garden was left extremely tidy and I'm delighted with the fence. This is the second time David and his team have carried out work for me, this time removing and replacing very old fencing and assorted plant life. Their hard work has made a tremendous improvement to my garden and has been well admired. I would certainly recommend this company.

We called P1 as we had a problem with overgrown bushes in back garden against the building. Asked for this to be cleared. No problem it was done in the timeframe we were given and all the cuttings were removed as promised. Great job, would use P1 again and recommend their work.

We were looking to have our back and side garden landscaped; it was overgrown, the fence and decking was on its last legs.  We gave David the brief that we would like it to be low maintenance, contemporary and bright.

David listened to this and proposed some ideas on design and materials. 

The work included design, clearing all the existing decking/trees/shrubs, new fencing/gate, levelling the garden and laying astro turf, & sub base for new shed and an area for our bins.

We are thrilled with the result.  With the patio, astro and stones, our back/side garden now appears larger and brighter and requires very little ongoing maintenance. 

Delighted with the back garden, we then asked for the front garden to be overhauled, removing the tree and replacing the grass/existing paving with monoblock, in keeping with the building.  Again, David considered our request and accommodated us.  We were not sure what layout we wanted, David guided us through this, deciding on the style and overall look which was helpful.  He was flexible with our changes along the way.

The quality of workmanship is excellent, thanks also to Henrik as he worked relentlessly each day through the bad weather.  Guys were friendly, polite, trustworthy and always tidied up. 

The results speak for themselves. Both our front and back gardens have been completely transformed.

New Fence

My old fence was at the point of collapse, not helped by the severe winds we've been experiencing recently !

I decided to try the Trust a Trader website as I've not had great experiences with local tradesmen to date. However I had no problems whatsoever with David and his team. They arrived on time, were polite, friendly and very hard working. They managed to build my fence in less than a day and it looks absolutely fabulous. As my partner has a wood burner I wanted to save the wood for him rather than just throw it out. They offered to cut my old fence up for me and left it in nice neat bundles. They also left my garden very neat and tidy. Great job done. Thank You !!

P1 Landscaping took up chuckles and laid down paving stones. They’ve done an excellent job. Both workmen were on time, worked tirelessly, checked with me on a few occasions to ensure they were doing what I wanted and left the site in an immaculate state.

so we needed a new fence. Saw P1 Solutions online, Trusted Trader recommended, and we commissioned them to do the stuff.
They were cheaper by far than other quotes.
Pleasant to deal with, finished the fence in 4 hours, involving a fair amount of clearing ground next door, removed all rubbish, and raked, weeded and tidied the border. Thoroughly recommended!

David and his team came to do the second part of our garden renovation. The men arrived on time each day and worked non-stop to get the job done. The work was finished to a high standard and all waste was cleared away. Particular care was taken to avoid damage to the existing lawn and surrounding plants in what were challenging weather conditions. I needed a new garden fence along a boundary wall. The old fence posts had to be removed, heavy greenery cut back and a new fence installed. There was additional effort as access to the garden had to be via the house. I contacted P1 as I wanted a 'trusted trader' and that's exactly what I got. Everything done to my requirements and absolutely no mess left behind. I am extremely pleased with the service - thank you David and team.

We used David and his team to do some work in our garden last year and were more than impressed. The men worked extremely hard, barely stopping for a break and the quality of the finish was first class. Nothing was too much trouble and they took the time to listen to what we wanted and then did it. When we needed someone to do a garden tidy at my mother-in-law’s before it goes on the market I had no hesitation in asking P1 to come and do the work. Once again I cannot fault them and we are looking forward to David doing phase 2 of our own garden later in the year. I cannot recommend them highly enough and I know that they will always do a fantastic job for a reasonable price.

A total renovation of our back garden was carried out with professionalism and skill. David and his team replaced an old wire fence at the rear of our garden with a new wooden hit and miss style fence. The work was carried out to a very high standard, and in remarkably short time. They also removed all the old fencing, and left the area neat and tidy. Overall extremely happy with all aspects of the service provided. Can't recommend highly enough.

Having known the Firm for over 20 years, I was confident that my recent(relatively small) work consisting of returfing an area which had had grass removed some years ago and river pebbles laid and I was not disappointed. The whole work took less that three weeks from my initial request to completion. The workman turned up on the day and on time as arranged. The Contract Manager also came the same day to check the quality was acceptable.

Fantastic job done turned a shambles of a back garden into a garden of Eden

I got in touch with David to do a speedy tidy up of an unfinished terrace with a crumbling bit of bank. We assessed the small site and between us came up with a plan on a modest budget. David was good enough to fit this job in quickly and it was done in no time. I am very pleased with the finish and am impressed by how easy they made it look (removing an enormous boulder by hand) and also clearing a fallen tree, adding some beautifully cut logs to my now well stocked log pile. All in all - a great job. Very efficient and would definitely recommend.

David came soon after I contacted the company. This was a pretty small job but he was very helpful and arranged for his men to visit. The work required was the uplifting of 2 large raised beds. The removal of existing concrete slabs and replaced with artificial grass. The replacement of the step from the conservatory to the garden with a large decking area. An additional fence and various bits and pieces.
From the initial visit David was very professional and helped us reach our final design. He overseen the whole project and called in every day to provide an update and answer any question we had.
The work was carried out to a very high standard and much credit must be given to David and the boys.

Type of fence recommended by David fitted our needs perfectly. Very high quality work as expected (we have used P1 before). Solidly constructed and absolutely straight (as judged by a spirit level). Nicely stepped up from the other fence P1 built a few years ago. This new fence is solid to stop weeds and creepers coming through from the woodland behind. The photo attached is after I painted with medium oak fence paint.

I have just discovered that P1 is now on Trusted Trader. This relates to a project in 2014. P1, managed by David, great job for us. This entailed removing a large (multiple skips) amount of concrete, importing top soil, laying a new lawn, constructing large cathedral style steps, laying an area of Ecoblock and constructing a vertical slat fence. A quality job. Immaculately laid lawn, much-admired steps and blocked areas and a nice fence. David was right, vertical slat fences are not only better for security but look far better than the popular ranch type.

David was very professional and friendly when he came to give us a quote for the work we wanted carried out. We knew immediately that his company would carry out the work to a very high standard and we weren't disappointed. His guys did a fabulous job and David oversaw everything making sure we were happy with everything at every stage of the job. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend P1to everyone. They did a fantastic job.

Amazing!!

We inherited a complete and utter mess of a front garden. We did a bit of work on it but we were getting nowhere.
We found P1 on this site, called them and David came round for a look. Gave him a rough outline of what we needed and what our budget was... and added we were going on holiday in 3 weeks and that would be the ideal time to do it.
5 weeks later we came home to a perfectly finished driveway. We left 90% of the design in his hands and he most certainly delivered. The quality of the work is second to none and a price that no one could match.
Would I use or recommend P1? of course we will, we also inherited a mess of a back garden.
We have been completely blown away by now only the workmanship and professionalism of David and the team but by the personal and friendly nature too. Nothing is too much hassle and you get the feeling they really care about the work they do.

First class service from first visit to end of work. The guys were very professional clean and methodical in every aspect of their work.

We've recently moved into a new build and the garden was just earth surrounded by a fence. We're not keen gardeners, so just wanted something relatively straightforward and basic - essentially so we could sit out in the garden for bbq's/drinks etc.

We had a rough idea of what we wanted: paving, a base for the shed and turf. I contacted David after reading the reviews on this site and he got straight back to me. David understood our needs and budget and gave us realistic ideas to keep the project within our budget. We agreed on a price and the work was carried out the following week.

P1 came up trumphs for us. David helped put shape (literally) to our vague ideas. Trees, shrubs,old slabs, etc. were all removed quickly and cleanly. New topsoil, sleepers,and paving all arrived on schedule in spite of quite restricted access. The team of two worked really hard putting everything together. Thereafter, all debris was removed from my premises with no mess left behind.
Also, the men who came to carry out the work were quietly courteous and went about their business in a professional, swift and workmanlike manner.
Overall, the price was competitive and fair.

We had a tree and a hedge pulled out, turf laid, and a new fence fitted. David gave us good advice about what type of fence to go for and it looks great, am glad we followed his suggestion. Excellent service from quote to completion

Work was done to an exceptionally high standard and the sheer physical input of the men had to be seen to be believed.
We had no real plan for the work, but the site agent, David, was perfectly happy to work with us and adapt as we went along.
What started off as a simple fence erection ended up in a total makeover of the garden - which certainly wouldn't have happened if we had been in any way unhappy with the standard of the work done.
I cannot be too effusive in my recommendation of this trader.

Completed job very fast and to high standard

For several years I have employed this company both for regular grass-cutting and for occasional specific jobs ranging from an initial blitz of my neglected garden through weeding, building a seed bed and a net frame for peas draining and refilling the fish pond to building a fence round the entire garden.
at all times I have found their manager, Mr Gillan, attentive and helpful and the workmen efficient, tidy and polite. their charges have always been competitive and I would not hesitate to engage them again.

We have used P1 for a number of years. They maintain our grass and hedges on a regular basis and are very reliable. They have also carried out a larger garden renovation project for us, and have recently put a fence along one border. The quality and speed of these two larger projects have been excellent.
They are very friendly and personable, and we trust them completely.

Complete make over of Garden. Loose chip stones removed, old rose bushes removed. New Turf laid, new path, hedge trimmed and new opening in hedge for garden gate. Henrik and his team worked straight through to get as much done each day. Eye for detail really good - making sure diamond pattern on path fitted perfectly. New side fence and edging put in also. Cannot fault the boys, barely stopped for a cuppa. Tidy workers as well.

P1 Solutions Ltd were called in to turf a large area of lawn that had been disturbed/destroyed by the installation of a new septic tank, and associated soakaway, not forgetting the connecting pipework from the dwelling to the septic tank.
Tenant very unhappy at condition garden left in following the drainage works.

David's design was very much in line with our outline brief, and he was very flexible during the build in dealing with changes we requested as we went along.
