Marek responded to our enquiry by return. He visited the following day; gave a quote to redecorate front door, (large) hall and living room.
This was last Saturday. He and his team arrived on Monday and finished mid-afternoon Thursday. We received daily photos and updates.

MG Decor carried out two jobs for us. First over 2 weeks - decoration, repair and replace cladding to rear bay window over 3 floors. Excellent workmanship, well organised, tidy site and and very fair price. Second over 2 days - decoraction, repair and replace timber fascia and reconfigure gutter. I hired Marek to repaint the lines which mark out my parking space.
Marek communicated really well about coming to the space to view it and give a quote, about the different options I could go for and the different prices involved and finally then also about scheduling the job.

I needed substantial restoration work on my exterior paintwork – doors and sash windows. The old paint was flaking off in places, and some of the windows needed to have putty replaced. Fortunately a friend recommended MG, who fully understood the scale of treatment required and dealt with it very thoroughly.
All dubious paint areas were sanded down to bare wood and primed in preparation for the overall generous undercoat and gloss. The glazing was restored to as-new condition.
With the amount of sanding needed, some dust was unavoidable, but was minimised by using sanders with vacuum extraction. I appreciated the energetic four-strong team getting the work completed quickly, reducing the days when some noise and dust had to be accepted. They were considerate in minimising disturbance to household life, and tidied up well when they had finished.
In short, a thoroughly satisfactory completion of a big job.

A ceiling totally replaced and the room painted walls, cealing and woodwork. Work is perfect and they took great care to keep the room clean and left it spotless. Nice people to have in the house.

Lots of careful preparation such as masking floors, removal of door furniture etc. Team of three - Marek, Jonathan and Robert - were all very pleasant to have in our home. Full stairwell redecoration, MG decor is very reliable, can be trusted with keys, is communicative and provides excellent services.

Marek came over to give a quote at short notice - quoted a very reasonable price and then found a time slot that worked for us. Him and his team worked incredibly hard to strip our front door, paint it, paint the side return gate and the garage door all in a day. Marek and his team came to repair a crack in my ceiling it should have been simple but once he removed the plaster a new leak was found.He was very kind and helped me find a roofer asap. So although the work was delayed we kept in touch and he returned to finish the work as soon as was possible. Helpful polite and very efficient in all they did I would highly recommend them and we contracted him to do some other decorating after the ceiling once again highly efficient looking forward to using his team for future projects.

We have used Marek and his team a few times for decorating. Most recently for the redecoration of our Victorian house where they had to strip out very old decor and re-plaster, line and even out the old walls, completely redo the crumbling plaster work on several old ceilings as well as complete all the painting and decorating afterwards. Marek prepared the walls of my hall and staircase by removing the existing wallpaper. He put protective covering down on my carpet. He did an excellent job, tidying up everything and left my home spotlessly clean at the end of each day.

We were let down by someone to silicone a shower tray. Marek had 5 star reviews so I gave him a call. I explained we had a leak due to shower tray needing fixed and he was very obliging and managed to come within a day. He and team did a great job and no mess. I would recommend him.

I required lifting of laminate flooring in hall and livingroom. With a high potential to split a lot of the laminate the team somehow lifted everything piece by piece and didn’t break or split one!( the floor is to be put back down of which they neatly stacked and numbered) Marek answered emails promptly and arrived on time for all the work required. One time, good work and Tidy!

Marek and Rafal did an excellent job painting all of the extensive woodwork and pipework outside our house. Two of the 14 windows were difficult to access and they brought in their own scaffolding at no extra cost. One window sill was rotten and was replaced, again with no hassle. The quality of the paintwork was praised by our window cleaner who followed them. Marek is courteous, a good communicator, and completely reliable. and a thoroughly nice person to have working for you.

We have used MG Decor for over 20 years; Marek has always accommodated our decorating needs. In February 2020 part of a bedroom ceiling fell in. We decided that the remaining plaster was in poor shape so it was carefully removed leaving the cornice intact, re-instated using plasterboards and then the whole room was painted.
Marek ensured the mess was kept to a minimum and the appearance of the bedroom is hugely improved.

Marek is a highly reliable and professional decorator. He decorated our hall; a large job taking a week, and every day he was punctual and tidy. He checks at the end of every day if there are any problems and kept us up to date with progress. His work is of a very high standard. After Marek had finished the job and been paid, I contacted him with a small problem (related more to the age of our home than anything he had done) - he came back without argument and sorted it. Marek initially was very pleasant and very good value, we had him a couple of times. If he was busy we would be provided with a replacement where the quality of work wasn't as good and he would later come and rectify the shoddy work. Later on his continuous moaning and ridiculous pricings (£50.00 to reseal a kitchen sink) and his demands to be paid within 24 hours began to grate.

Contracted MG to re-paint the stair main door in our tenement. Showed up early, worked steadily, fine work, cleaned up afterward, responsive to our wishes, and competitive price. Involved removing loose paint, sanding/smoothing, priming/undercoat, finish coat for door and frame. Looks great!

He has always been clean, tidy, well organised, courteous as well as friendly. Over the past few years, Marek Gwozdz of MG Decor has undertaken a considerable amount of painting, decorating and restoration work at my property, and also in the flat below which I own.
