We have been with Lothian Gas for almost 5 years now for servicing and repair of our central heating system. As the service has always been exceptional we decided to use them to replace a number of our radiators as we were decorating and wanted to update them. From start to finish they have been excellent. We had a pre installation survey done and given help to choose the correct radiators from their recommended supplier. On the day of the installation a few issues were quickly identified that couldn't have been known in advance. The engineers - Mark & Conner - responded professionally and came up with a solution, discussing the options with us and keeping us fully informed as the work progressed. The result was a job completed on time and to our complete satisfaction. We are delighted with the service they continue to provide.

I've used the services of Lothian Gas for several years for safety certificates and boiler repairs so when I wanted replacement of ageing boiler they were the first place I went for a price.

Kevin provided a fair and thorough assessment and advised on replacement of pipework and radiators.

The process was simple and turnaround time was fast and organised to suit my schedule. The price was fair.

The guys sent to site were very experienced tradesmen and nothing was any bother to them. The work was completed quickly to a very high standard.

I chose Lothian Gas to install the complete central heating system for my home because of the good reviews about them on Google, and indeed I made the right choice! From the start, their quote price was very competitive, and on top of that, their suggested project duration was only 2 days, compared to 5-10 days quoted by other companies. The project involved removing two large old-style boiler cylinders, lifting up floorboards throughout the flat, changing all the old pipes and 8 radiators, and installing a new combi boiler! Project manager Kevin was extremely responsive and patient, giving us very professional suggestions and taking all our requirements into account. The installation team turned up promptly every morning as they promised, worked really hard for 2 full days. They double checked everything with us before putting them on, so everything is now in exactly the same place as we envisaged. We also had one incident which was NOT their fault at all. It was purely because we realised one newly installed radiator might be a bit too big for the furniture going next to it. Kevin responded to my email before 7am, and by 8am he had sourced a slimmer radiator and had it delivered to us already, at no additional cost! Truly amazing! Their service was way beyond my expectation, and the Vallant boiler Kevin speced for us has been fantastic. I've recommended them to several of my friends who are thinking of rennovating their central systems too! They'll be my first go-to company for any future gas jobs too :-)

From the initial contact with Kevin, to the three contractors ( Davide, Scott and Sandy) who carried out the work, I have nothing but praise for them all. They were all friendly, diligent and professional. I’m having work carried out on the house in stages and will definitely use Lothian Gas for the next stage. The gas boiler was serviced at short notice, which was much appreciated. I had a radiator replaced and moved in one room and a new radiator fitted in another room. Each piece of work was completed with minimal disturbance and the areas left clean and tidy; the guys even polished an old chrome pipe. Kevin’s knowledge, experience and advice was invaluable and he contacted me both days after the work was completed to check I was happy.

Very clean tidy job workmen 1st class no hassle heating spot on

Lothian gas has been looking after my gas appliances for years. the owner also understands solar thermal systems and has helped me fix an issue with it, has gotten my old gas fireplace back in operation order while the competition told me to replace it, and has just recently come out really promptly when i called him attributing an issue to the solar system that was a simple plumbing issue. nice reliable and helpful. thank you Steve and sorry for the wrong callout!!

Had a maintenance contract for many years with Lothian gas and have always been provided with excellent service. Heating broke down completely on Tuesday evening, assessed, part ordered and fitted Thursday. All working again!

We have been with Lothian Gas for many years, they've installed and maintained the central heating system in our last two properties. We find their customer support and responsiveness to be absolutely second to none - by way of example, we recently called them to report a faulty boiler at 6:30pm on Christmas Eve and the heating was up and running by 8pm that same evening.

At all levels, the Lothian Gas team are friendly and professional, they will persevere to get to the bottom of any problem, and will happily offer guidance and support wherever they can.

We have no hesitation in recommending Lothian Gas - trusty and reliable, just what's needed.

Problem failure of Weissman boiler resulting in no heating or hot water. Additional problems caused in other appliances and one long standing undiscovered leak.
Brian detected initial source within a very short time, and made a temporary repair which fixed the mysterious leak. Pressure is holding well and will allay the worry this has caused overvthe years.

He has organised a new valve unit to be installed next Service.

used this company for gas boiler service initial visit man made boiler worse and started to leak water when switched off , worried all weekend as closed , man came back on the Monday rather grumpy and fixed seal , price was good but would not use again.

Lothian Gas were very responsive and came to my rescue when my usual gas central heating engineer was away for a week, and my very old central heating stopped in one of the coldest nights of the winter. I received a morning call from Lothian Gas to let me know an engineer would be with me before lunchtime.
Stephen arrived around 11.30 and had the programmer working within 10 minutes and the radiators working with 20 minutes.
Fantastic as it's been so cold over the last few days!!

Lothian Gas fitted my previous heating system when they first set up. I have been with them since for servicing and they have been fabulous, reliable and most importantly helpful.
I have just renewed my heating system changing to a combi boiler with new larger radiators. This also meant new pipe work. This was quite an upheaval for me lifting floors, removing tanks relocating the boiler however the stress was greatly reduced by the quality or information I was given and the support of all at Lothian Gas. They worked round suitable dates for me, the engineers, turned up on time, worked as a team and consulted me on aspects of the work to ensure everything was correct to meet my expectations. Despite the work being completed in the run up to Christmas (my choice) this has been a hugely positive experience. I am delighted with the results and am fully enjoying the benefits of constant hot water and a fab warm flat.
The price was excellent in comparison to others and I would seriously recommend this highly professional organisation.

Lothian Gas give excellent service and value for money. I have seven buy to let Properties ( service plan & landlord certificate on each ) as this gives me peace of mind if there is a problem . They recently raplaced the hot water cylinder in my own home and this was done to a very high standard and done within a couple of days. I also own a hairdressing salon and can rely on them to attend ASAP if we need an emergency call out.

I signed up for the annual boiler service with Lothian Gas last year after shopping around a bit. They attended today and carried out a service on my boiler. The engineer arrived on time and was courteous, friendly and professional.

The water heater had developed a fault prior to the appointment. I called up and discussed this with a staff member who took details and said they'd make the engineer aware.

He repaired a fault quickly and cleaned up afterwards. I've recently had other companies do work in the house and have then had to make complaints about damage and poor service. Lothian Gas have been a welcome change.

A very honest and professional company. I would absolutely recommend them.

Our boiler stopped working on Sunday evening and we contacted Lothian Gas at 9.00 am Monday morning to be told that someone would be with us in half an hour, they duly arrived at the time they stated,diagnosed the fault ,fixed the problem and we were up and running within the hour.I would highly recommend this company.

I was delighted with the work carried out by Lothian Gas which was a new boiler install. Kevin in particular looked after my job from start to finish and at every step kept me in the loop. The guys who fitted the boiler on the day where very friendly, started work just after 8am, they where very tidy and just worked on until the job was done. I have already recommended the company.

Have used Lothian Gas for servicing my gas heating systems since 2008 and for a number of repairs to the system. Following recommendation by other property owners in the development based on poor design of the heating system I asked Lothian Gas to provide me with options to replace the systems. This was competantly prepared and explained and they worked with me to find a suitable date.

The overall replacement was completed within half a day. Expertly and cleanly and the system was operating effectively immediately after.

The works inadvertanly proved the catalyst for poor piping installed by the origianl developer to leak but Lothian Gas were able to have an engineer around within 45 minutes of the request - fantastic service.

We have employed Lothian Gas to service & maintain the gas fittings in Colinton Lettings' growing portfolio of property-under-management for almost 15 years. They have also carried out numerous boiler replacement works and a solar thermal system installation within that period.
We find their excellent locally-managed service is very economic in comparison to other gas maintenance companies we have used in the past. Their cooperative, helpful and proactive engineers always honour their 24/7/365 reactive maintenance targets, their attention to detail is thorough and their installation work is tidy & well organised. Their back-office management & admin team are effective & helpful, offering experienced advice, monitoring our compliance dates and arranging access in advance, often to suit our tenants.
We always recommend their services to our landlords and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone else, for domestic or commercial works.

I have an annual gas boiler and 3* type cover with them paid by monthly SO and separately I have got them to renew my 20 year boiler with a brand new condensing one. They liaised with me before they started and the work went well and on time. I like the way they discuss any potential issues beforehand so everyone knew what was going to happen.
